Great accommodations. The service and hospitality of our hostess was impeccable. Very grateful for their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate and even anticipate our needs!! The owners and the family are so personable. 

Meets our every whim

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights after a not so great experience at The Comfort Inn in Willow Springs....Highland inn was a godsend!!!!  Nice, clean room for an affordable price.  The beds were a bit firm, but I like them that way!!!  The water pressure in the shower was great.  The staff overall was very wonderful and accommodating.  If I had any complaints at all, there was a little dry wall on the ceiling in the bathroom that was flaking off, but beyond that, it was a perfect stay, and we will be recommending this hotel to our out of state family members, and everyone else who needs a nice room for the night (or more).

Receptionist was rude and disrespectful. Was eaten up all nite by flea/bedbug even when layed in the chair.  When I went to inform the manager/owner she went into the room and tried to wipe what the bugs off and they did not wipe off.  The Hospitality was very unprofessional. They double charge you.  Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.  Health department needs to be called.  Check driving to the next hotel.  Very uncleaned!!

Uncleaned

Over priced at $95 for at best a $50.00 room.  Smelly dirty carpet, bedding and dirty sink with mucus stuff in sink..insert *gag* here.  Bedding had burn marks on them and owner charged my card for the burns after she told me the bedding had been changed BEFORE we got there because there were burns in the bedding...I call BS on that, I know the bedding was never changed out before we got there.  Crooks just looking for ways to steal money.  Continental breakfast was a joke cold cereal, coffee, OJ, 3 muffins and 3 small honey buns. We will drive on to Mountain Grove rather than stay at this nasty motel if ever in the area again.

Horrible!  Nasty dirty smelly room with snotty substance in bathroom sink and burns on bedding.

A nice hotel on the outskirts of Cabool, Missouri, Highland Inn & Suites is clean and the location is quiet and peaceful. Management is friendly and helpful. It's easy to find and I would definitely stay there again.

A Lovely Hotel

I did some speaking in Cabool over a long weekend, and my host had lined up a room at this hotel for me.   Typically, I stay in folks homes, as I have friends in many places and it’s often congregations that are hosting me, and there’s a bed to be found somewhere. But this time, they needed to arrange a hotel for several of my nights. The manager was very friendly, and we had several good conversations. The room was clean, the place was quiet. It was handily located within walking distance – a mile or less – have a couple of restaurants. 

The price included a continental breakfast – With some fruit, pastries, Juice and coffee and instant oatmeal- and thank goodness some raisin bran, as all the other items were white flour and sugar basically, and I’m looking for a whole-grain whenever possible.  Of course it was all served on Styrofoam – so I had to scrounge around and find some non-disposable cups and dishes in my own stuff to avoid generating more trash for beleaguered earth.

 So all was well until the last day. Wanting to pitch in towards the cost—My host was a congregation, and I run a nonprofit, so neither of us are rolling in the cash – but I wanted to share the burden, so  decided to pay for last night myself. The manager rearranged the bill, I handed her my credit card to pay for the last night, she printed out the bill for me to sign – $96! The first thing that went through my mind was: did she charge me for all three nights? But I didn’t say anything as I liked her and wanted to also be sure I wasn’t complaining inappropriately  without taking a closer look at the bill back in my room.  Sure enough, that seemed to be the price for one night – a quick web search 
found that I could’ve gotten it for $10 less online if I had reserved a day in advance. Plus I’m sure it wasn’t a high demand issue – best I could tell, there were one or two other rooms occupied on any of the nights I was there.

This may not seem like a big bill to others, but for me in my line of work it seemed  like a lot, and now I’m trying to figure out how I can make up for having spent that much for one nights lodging. 

And then as I was leaving the next morning, I took my reused bowl out to get some raisin bran and they were out of milk. I rang the service bell - no response. Not a huge deal –  and no use crying over spilled milk – if there had been some to spill… :-)

I had stayed many times on business before the name change, and always was very satisfied there. In fact, I'd drive extra miles to stay there because I knew how comfortable and consistent the service was. On my last trip - four nights - I realized the name had changed. I was happy that the same professional, committed owners are there, on site 24/7, and delighted to be there again. 

Very clean, quiet, on a hill across and above the town so there's little traffic, in sight of US60, so good location. The price is competitive and matched to the quality. Very kind management. I've watched them go out of their way many times with people with special needs or wants. When I was stuck from freezing rain they went above and beyond for my comfort. So generous.

The complimentary breakfast is plenty for me. In fact, I wouldn't change a thing about the Highland Inn.

New Name - Same Great Owners, Service and Comfort

We have stayed here two times. It is the best motel in the area. The rooms are clean and the manager was very helpful. The breakfast is more of a continental breakfast but was enough for me. Glad we decided to stay here.
