We booked this Hotel for a overnight trip with our Model A club (5 cars 10 people) for wine tasting.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The rooms are nice and big with amazing views.  The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom had everything you would need, even toothbrushes! A few commented it was the quietest hotel they have ever slept at and had their second floor windows open. The deluxe continental breakfast was nice. No complaints from the group.  The Mexican restaurant next door was delicious. Everyone loved their dinner. Thank you Ken for the enjoyable stay.  

A great stay in Plymouth 

While I hoped to have a beautiful weekend, nothing about this inn lived up to even a basic hotel level. First, it looks like a Motel 6 that was repainted to be an Inn. Everything about it is at the Motel 6 level. Pros-- Close to Murieta Equestrian Center. Ample Parking. Cons--- It is beyond Basic. Our room had huge gaps around the baseboard, so we saw a number of very large critters in our room, including pretty large (6"+) caterpillars. The walls are Motel 6 thin- and you can hear everything. The breakfast was a joke. It was a piece of fresh fruit, and coffee/hot chocolate. The staff was suspicious of everyone. They walked in and didn't ever say hello-- just asked me for my name, and credit card. Not friendly. I came back later to ask if I could take a hot chocolate packet for my daughter back in my room (it was sitting on the counter and I didn't need to ask but did as a courtesy). You would have thought I asked for a diamond-encrusted watch with her look and reply. She agreed begrudgingly. The pool wasn't clean, was really cold, and in poor shape. Despite being a peak weekend at the nearby center, this inn was barely occupied. Very deserted which wasn't ideal for a woman and her small child traveling alone. The area could be more pretty and walkable. 10 mins away is much nicer. It seemed moldy or dusty in corners- but the main surfaces were clean. It is a budget hotel at Inn/resort prices. I wouldn't suggest anyone stay here despite seeing all the positive reviews. I don't know where they stayed but it wasn't at the Shenandoah Inn. Save your $. 

Save Your $. Motel 6 Style Hotel at Inn Pricing

We had a wonderful stay and the host Ken could not have been more accommodating. The rooms were big and roomy, the bathroom modern with all the amenities, the beds were super comfy and it had a lovely view and grounds. We highly recommend this place.

Perfect spot in the Amador Wine Country

From my first contact with the hotel, my experience was exceptional.  The staff was very helpful with getting the right room for us.  We were there for a nearby family wedding and they made sure to have our room ready early for us to dress, then drive to the wedding.  

Our room was very clean and spacious.  Three big picture windows overlooked oak trees and rolling hills.  All the amenities were provided.  A refrigerator, microwave, ample space to hang clothes, table and chairs and really comfortable beds.  It was also nice and quiet! They even had a couple wine glasses available for use.  The bathroom was huge with all the extras.  We could not have been more pleased.  And it was really clean!!!

Breakfast the next morning was nice with a variety of options.  They had a  nice fenced area with a pool, spa, several tables and chaise longue chairs.  They even had a place to BBQ, all overlooking the same rolling hills and open space.  Such a relaxing atmosphere and the staff was all very accommodating and friendly.  We all felt like our satisfaction was their goal.  

We will definitely stay there again.

An Exceptional Stay at the Shenandoah Inn

The room had a beautiful view of the rolling hills. Spacious, 2 Queen beds, very clean
and had a frig, microwave, razor, toothpaste, etc.  They are also dog friendly, so we were able to bring our Boston Terrier with us.  The staff was friendly and very helpful.  I wish we had stayed 2 nights to take advantage of the lovely pool area.  We will definitely go back, and highly recommend it.  It is close to lots of beautiful wineries and a mile away from charming downtown  Plymouth.

Great Hotel to Stay in in the Wine Country

Had a very nice stay here July 21-22 while visiting the Shenandoah Valley wine country.  We had a beautiful second floor double queen room with a great view of the Sierra Foothills.  The room was super clean, comfortable beds, and spotless bathroom,  Ken and his staff went out of their way to make us welcome and recommend local restaurants and favorite wineries that will wave tasting fees for guest at their Inn.  We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant right next door and it was really good too,  Thanks Ken and Team !

Great Place to stay while visiting the Shenandoah Valley wine country

OUTSTANDING HOTEL WITH ALL THE AMENITIES! Beautiful verdant and pastoral country setting. Tip top facility. Couldn’t recommend them more highly. Decor up to date and they are going further by doing another upgrade.

Shannandoah Plymouth California

The motel is located very near the town of Plymouth and the Amador County wine area.   It is very clean and the main room and bathroom were quite large and comfortable.  The area is rural and very quiet and the hotel is located on a hill above the main road.  The parking lot is large and can accommodate large vehicles.

Hotel in a Great Location

Brought a group here, a block of 16 rooms. First of all, the management was very easy to work with. This hotel has a great location, essentially dead center in gold country, halfway between Nevada City and Sonora.  Each room is clean, spacious and comfortable, and they have great views as well.  My suggestion is that you bring your own soap and shampoo, or that the hotel could up it's game a little in this area.  Definitely recommend if you are here to explore all this area has to offer.

Nice Wine Country Hotel

This time I booked 2 rooms as my parents were evacuated from a large fire nearby. Both my parents are 90 and my father has dementia. Not only did the person at the desk provide the 2 rooms he juggled things around so the rooms were next to each other. He did all this over the phone and without a credit card. He even stayed late to personally check us in. As the fire grew he graciously extended the stay an additional 5 nights. 

Changes, such as being evacuated, can be very upsetting for people with dementia so I appreciate all of his efforts to make these accommodations as well as helping me get my elderly parents through this challenge.

I see that some appreciate the fact that this is a nice place, it is, that it is near the wineries, it is, that they are friendly, they are, and that the price is fair, it is. Beyond the niceties the person at the front desk took a real interest in making sure make this was as simple and low stress as possible. Not all places care as much as they do here.
