Wonderful stay! Saw Christmas lights at Callaway Gardens! The lodge was impeccable for us! Our room was on the lake side. We were able to see the Gemini meteors very well! The room even had that "new" smell.We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay and wonderful Christmas lights!

Let me start by saying the hotel made our stay very pleasant. We only had one issue and Cedric took care of it.
The bar staff, Donna and Renee were excellent.
The restaurant is a whole different story.  We went for the prime rib buffet . Couldn't find an employee to seat us and when we finally did there was no one at the carving station. We walked out and ate at the bar. We brought it to the managers attention. The hamburgers are very good but the fries tasted old. The next night we got fish and chips which were barely warm. Breakfast was horrible! Cold plates, cold food. We paid a lot of money to stay there at resort prices but did not receive resort service. To top it off one of the employees wore a shirt that said Warning I really don't care. And in my opinion that's about how the whole restaurant felt. Unfortunately we had paid for bed and breakfast. They need plate warmers and maybe a microwave where people can heat their food. The waffles could double for a hockey puck. The restaurant definitely needs to get new management. We have stayed at Callaway before and we were very pleased. Not this time and I doubt that we will return. We spent over $2000 and it was not worth it.

Return visit extremely doubtful 🤔

My wife and I were invited to a wedding being held in the chapel on the grounds. We stayed two nights. Our room was nice sized with a king sized bed. The one drawback was it was very expensive compared with similar rooms we have stayed at in nicer hotels. Almost $100 of each days cost was taxes and resort fees. We did not use the hot tub or pool but they were pretty. My wife said they need a magnifying mirror in the bathrooms. We did not eat on the grounds but the restaurant was busy at night. They need more premium TV channel options

Nice but expensive

Our first girls trip in 5 years and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!  Beautiful place with nice rooms and lovely fall decor. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful!  We did have some special staff that we wanted to list….
Ruby was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. We greatly enjoyed talking with her both mornings also. Love her ❤️
Chuck was our bellman/valet car parker. Very helpful and full of information about Callaway also. 
The concierge Marjorie, breakfast manager Roberta, and shuttle driver Aubrey were also great
We had the best time and hope to come back another time.

Girls Trip 2023

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge and Spa at Callaway. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was delicious, and our room had the nicest view of the lake. Even in the rain we enjoyed the various activities, and the children loved the corn maze and pumpkin display. I highly recommend this location.

Great visit to Callaway!

This resort has taken more bookings than it can manage.  They are not staffed to cope with these numbers and this greed drives poor customer experience.  Bedrooms not cleaned and ready for Check-In till nearly 8pm, “free” breakfast of you are ready to queue for 1hr +.

Christmas factory without staff!

This was an excellent stay, they have made a lot of upgrades since the time I have been here. The staff was once again a highlight of the stay. The place looks great. My only issues are with some of the ascetics. The parking lot and roads have way too many potholes. I wish they would bring back valet parking, but I know it’s very hard to staff that. Some of the carpeting has stains which I somewhat expect because it’s an outdoor area/camping type place. However I think they could do a better job of cleaning the carpets and maybe assign a special carpet cleaner to that duty. Also although they upgraded the tile in the showers, I still hate the tile. It’s the type of tile that has to be cleaned really well. It was ok, but I feel like if they spend the money on better chemicals it can get a lot cleaner.

Great Stay, Just a few nitpicks

For the most part, we enjoyed a quick getaway at the beautiful Lodge.  We were able to check in a little early, which is always nice. There were signs stating they were in the process of renovating the lodge, but we didn't see evidence of construction on the floor where our room was. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.  (I love the new complimentary soaps!)  The bed was very comfy, and our first night was wonderful and peaceful.  

The second night, not so much.  According to the Callaway tv info channel, there were a couple of wedding parties arriving, and The Lodge was invaded by "Pumpkin" seekers and Mobis Family Day participants.  The next morning, our beautiful view  was dotted with inflated slides, jumping houses, and chairs and tables.  It became a busy, noisy place!  We were also unable to enjoy our balcony due to the scent of "weed" from the room below us.  We quickly checked out and headed home.

Lots Going On!

Mediocre service, mediocre attitude, mediocre food. Nice premises. This hotel sits in a lovely location. The rooms are spacious and the facility nice. The main problem here is the service, or the absence thereof. Front desk is consistently rude and condescending. The hotel charges like a four star hotel, but they don’t even offer daily room cleaning. You have to phone to ask to have trash taken out daily, or your bathroom cleaned. The policy is cleaning every three days, or at the end of your stay. This might very well explain the large cockroach that run out when I opened the fridge cupboard. The restaurant is absolutely nondescript, and the food is more canteen-like that fine dining.

Lovely location, really bad service

It's just not the same anymore. Overpriced and nothing is included, please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Cindy Miller needs to be reframed from working as the manager in reservation terrible Customer Service towards the guest and towards her workers. Lorraine needs to go back and get higher education because if someone is repeatedly coming to HR about a position and you tell them you can't them because it's not 90 days you are a terrible person because someone is expressing themselves about their manager and the work environment and the only thing you say is its nothing you can do which is you just need to step down or go back and reread the books, because if someone keeps coming to HR about a person you need to look into it and not just say it's nothing you can do.
