We were driving across country and got held up for three hours on the highway due to a bad accident. We planned to drive further but were too tired so started looking for a room in Cameron. We stopped at several that were not pet friendly (we had our dogs with us) and one of those hotels directed us to Red Roof Inn. We have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn so did not know what to expect. We arrived at 2:30 in the morning (due to that bad accident that closed the highway) and the owner/manager(?) who assisted us with check in was very polite and professional despite the hour. And, BONUS - there was no extra charge for the dogs!. We went to our assigned room and were surprised and impressed by the cleanliness and size of the room. It was a first floor room which made it easy to get the dogs in and out. There was ample area to walk the dogs on the property. There was a complimentary breakfast in the morning but we did not check that out. If the room is any indication, the breakfast was probably very nice as well. The lady who was at the front desk when we checked out in the morning was very sweet. This entire experience was totally enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting this hotel if you are ever in the area - especially if you are traveling with pets. It is CLEAN, friendly, accommodating and a complete delight.

Great Experience!

The outside is dated but the room appeared clean. I developed multiple bedbug bites after waking there. I contacted them and they had already put someone in the room. 
I contacted the national company and this is an independent hotel with the Red Roof title. 
Do not stay at this place. I stayed because of my dog and traveling home from hunting.  I will pay more for better places

Room was clean and comfortable But could hear the people walking in room above us and the man snoring next door. Breakfast bad. Sausage gravy no sausage. Very dry biscuits. Only other option was Cheerios or yogurt. No fruit

Question the best in town

Very nice surprise. Our rooms were clean, the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The town of Cameron is quaint, however it would be nice to have a few more restaurants. I would definitely stay again. 

Fantastic nights rest.

For a clean, renovated hotel this is a nice place, BUT, there is no elevator or coffee service in the room. We checked in, asked for a quiet area in the hotel and we’re put on the third floor. THEN we were told there was no elevator.

If I could give it a 6 I would ‼️‼️ We have stayed here several times before. It’s always very clean. We were in room 109 and the bed was awesome. If your looking for a place to stay in this area please give them a try. You will be very happy. Oh and the staff is wonderful.

A great place to stay.

This was our first and best stay at a Red Roof Inn. We were traveling through and chose it because of good reviews. It was newly remodeled, very clean, and very comfortable. It was also the only RRI we stayed in that had a breakfast. If we need a place to stay in Cameron, we will definitely stay here again.

Arrived to check in and she wanted 10.00 extra for my child. Stayed on bottom floor smelled like CURRY.
THE SMELL WOULD NOT GO AWAY.

Overnighted while visiting Cameron, and to fulfill a RR offer of free visit for 2 paid. I was overall very pleased! The exterior is a bit stark, only concrete for a block surrounding. Small pool looked very clean and maintained, had a lift. Check-in was prompt, efficient, and polite. Common interior areas clean and maintained. Touch free room key, deadbolt and lock good. Room very clean and attractive. Plenty of outlets. Microwave and good fridge, AC good. Bed & pillows good. BR clean, good shower, good towels. WiFi good for streaming. Breakfast clean and attended. Some variety, but not exotic. Checkout quick and complete, no hidden expenses (eg safe, deposit, paper).  My suggestion would be, have some fresh fruit available.  My complaint, common to most motels, is the routine blocking open of fire doors. (Firefighter joke: what do you call a motel with blocked fire doors?  A CHIMNEY). This Red Roof will be my first choice for lodgings in this area.

It’s a GOOD one!

There are really not great hotel options in this town. This hotel was clean but not state-of-the-art. The one thing that was rather annoying was the window mounted air conditioning unit that ran at full blast all the time in an effort to keep things cool. Only serves continental breakfasts. If the weather is hot, it does have a pool though.
