This was just the kind of lodging my sister & I love - small, family run, very clean, cozy and with personality.  Very comfortable beds, cute décor and the heat/ac unit kept the room temperature perfect (no drafts, no blasts and no noise).  We had a separate kitchen area with a dining table and chairs out front.  Decent sized room, the bathroom was small but had everything needed, lighting could be better and there were no USB ports.  The location is perfect.  There is so much to do in the area and it made a great central motel for day trips.  The manager was super nice and available for any needs or suggestions about the area.  Udderly Devine Café has a great breakfast and cute gift shop and is walking distance from the motel.  The area is safe and is located in the historic area, steps from the walking tour.

Exactly what I was hoping for.

I was pleasantly surprised the rooms were very clean the girl in the office was extremely helpful and understanding we had to stay a couple of extra nights unexpectedly and she did her best to squeeze us in last minute when they were pretty much fully booked

Very pleasant stay 

I never set my expectations high when I pick the most inexpensive place so I was totally taken aback by how cute this place is! Checking in was a breeze and the woman behind the counter was extremely helpful and answered any question I would have had before I could even ask. Room has cute decorations, towels were nice quality, unique furniture, and most importantly for me good water pressure! I’ll definitely stay here again

Great stay!

Very helpful staff. Roger and Miss Beverly took care of us well. The room was clean and the AC was nice and cool. The area was really quiet and peaceful. Check in and check out were very smooth. I highlu recommend this place! Will definitely be staying again!

Very Nice and Comfy!

Do not stay hear not worth the money , wired smell when enter the room. blood stain on sheet witch was gross, can't lock bathroom door. Bathtub water stoper is very frustrating cause it's just a rubber that holds water down but if yu move to much in the tub it will come off yu have battle to keep from losing yur bathwater which is frustrating 

Do not waste yur money hear

Quaint little old fashioned motel. Quiet location with restaurants nearby. Check in was quick and easy. The lady who checked us in was super friendly and nice. I think her name is Beverly. There are actual keys to open your door, which is kind of charming. The room was western themed and spotless. Beds were very comfortable. There's no breakfast but there is in-room coffee and bottled water. Microwave and mini fridge. Nice sitting area outside in front of each room. This is not the average cookie cutter motel, it's family owned so they seem to try harder.

Hidden gem

What a delightful place. 
This facility has been around for a long time, but the room we had was spacious, well equipped (all the usual, plus bottled water, wine glasses AND Lysol wipes - so practical and thoughtful), maintained and clean. The front desk staff and the housekeeping were all very friendly and helpful. 
The location within Camp Verde is excellent (we walked to breakfast and dinner establishments which were both excellent). The motel provided a list of recommended restaurants in the area, with 10% discount, and staff gave personal reviews. 
We really felt right at home. Thanks again to staff for a really pleasant stay (2 nights).

Charming, unique, clean and comfortable!

This is obviously an attempt to save a dilapidated “motor lodge” from the 1950’s era and capitalize on the rustic southwest motif that is currently in vogue with the tourist industry. 

From the paper-thin walls to the blocked off doorway area that was turned into a closet, this property leaves a lot to be desired. The check-in was okay, but you were notified there was no breakfast and the office door was always locked, plus ringing the doorbell did not mean someone would always answer. We returned at the end of our first day to a tattooed man standing in front of our motel door asking us what we were doing there. I told him we were trying to get into our room and asked why he was blocking the door. He said “I thought you guys left”. I assured him that our reservation was for 2 days and he moved out of our way. 

We are in our 70’s and it was not the “Hello sir, how can I help you?” greeting that I am used to. All I can say is that for my hard-earned dollar, I found the Fort Verde Suites to be a total disappointment and way overpriced.

Totally disappointing and overpriced; sparse accommodations, without the services you would expect.

My mom and I stayed an overnight at this cute little roadside motel on our way from the PHX airport to the Grand Canyon south rim, where we spent the remainder of our trip, and we're so glad we stopped in!  The people are friendly in Camp Verde, and we enjoyed our stay at this place.  From great, hot water pressure in the shower (always a plus) to coffee maker and comfy beds, we were happy we picked Fort Verde Suites for our stay.  Impeccably clean and when we had a little blip with our TV, the owner was right over to fix it in a few minutes.  Such kitsch charm in this place, down to the rocking chairs on the "porch" of every room.  Located close to really tasty restaurants (it practically shares a parking lot with Low Places Bar & Grill, located in a cool historic building - tasty food and the locals are friendly!), convenient shopping for grocery and pharmacy needs, as well as a really cool local museum (Verde Valley Archaeology Center - definitely check that out - they host small vintage car shows in their parking lot fairly often and the museum is packed with info about the history of the area and of the Hopi tribe) and of course less than 10 minutes to historical outdoor sites like Montezuma's Castle (very cool, don't miss this!  Non strenuous/paved walkway - important for those with more limited mobility - to see the ancient Cliff dwellings) and Montezuma's Well... Fort Verde Suites is really a gem.

Cute little motel, perfect location!

We were picking up a friend in Camp Verde and felt like staying in something other than the equivalent of a "big box" corporate hotel. We fortunately got the last room available at Fort Verde Suites!

We were a late arrival and Beverly had left our room key for us, right where she had said it would be, left the light on in our room and the ceiling fan on! The room was clean and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised  with the kitchen area. The table and chairs outside our room were most inviting.

We will make a trip back to FVS to visit the winery's in the area!
