We had such a lovely stay at the Bay Haven Inn recently. My husband and I stayed for two nights & wished we had planned for a longer visit. We were so busy touring the area that we didn't take the time to really enjoy the Inn and its garden.The inn is a beautiful historic home, meticulously maintained by our hosts, Tammy and Jim. There are sitting parlors and an inviting front porch 
with a swing!
The breakfasts were outstanding culinary delights!! We had eggs with sausage and cheese baked in individual cast iron skillets, with a beautiful salad on the side. And the next morning we were served the most beautiful, puffiest egg soufflés ever! Tammy is the Chef and Jim is the Baker. He made evening cookies, scones, and the best buttery, light palmiers!
Each of the four guestrooms are beautifully decorated. Anything you might need is there. Tammy and Jim have thought of everything!
Cape Charles is such a quaint little town. We enjoyed the old fashioned and relaxing atmosphere. 
Next time....a longer visit is in the plans!!

Wonderful Stay

We recently enjoyed four delightful nights at this gem of a bed and breakfast inn. Our room was very comfortable, and we also enjoyed spending time in the common areas - especially the front porch! I can’t say enough about how delicious are the breakfasts. Tammy and Jim are fabulous hosts, and they gave us wonderful guidance for restaurants and area attractions, along with some of the fascinating history of the inn. This was our first visit to Cape Charles, and we will certainly be back to explore more of this pleasant and picturesque historic town.

Relaxed and welcoming - home away from home

Owners Tammy and Jim made my 5 day "Work-Vacation" experience extremely comfortable (in the Virginia Wilson room) , packed my breakfast (to go) every morning along with coffee. The Bay Haven Inn is beautifully decorated using pieces of furniture handed down by family to create the era in which the home was built in 1907? The yard is spectacular with an array of botanical flowers and shurbs created by "Master Gardner ", Tammy herself! Every detail has been noted and I will definitely be back! Easy access to shop's, eateries and the beach! All within walking distance! Tammy and Jim graciously provide recipe card's of their gourmet breakfasts, along with beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for the beach as well, during your stay! PS..thank you Tammy and Jim for sharing your Mexican violets with me! I can't wait to plant them!

First time in Cape Charles for a week to work and relax! Owners, Tammy and Jim made my stay worth the trip!

Tammy was a lovely host at her beautiful Inn this week.  We stayed for two nights.  Breakfasts are delicious, rooms lovely and nicely decorated and Tammy is a wealth of local information.  Beach towels and chairs are provided….umbrellas too.  Easy walk to the. Each and local shopping.

The owners are friendly and hospitable.  The rooms are super comfortable and the food is spectacular! An ideal bed and breakfast for a weekend getaway.  Their attention to detail makes for a stress free stay.  They also include recipe cards so you can have your favorites at home too.

Wonderful bed and breakfast with terrific host in a wonderful small town atmosphere, don’t miss the hot breakfast and all of the great ideas for things to do and see at the start of the day.  Restaurants and shopping in easy  walking distance .  Enjoy!!

Great get away…..

From the minute we entered the Inn, Jima and Tammy made us feel welcome - proudly showing us to our room.. The entire Inn is impeccable - EXTREMELY NEAT and CLEAN !
The breakfasts we had were to die for and the afternoon sweeet treats and complimentary glass of wine is a nice touch !  Walking distance to the two best restaurants in town as well as the public beach !  There was nothing we needed or wanted that Tammy did not provide !  We are returning guests for sure !

FANTASTIC !!

This is the best by FAR! This home is gorgeous inside & out. The host, Tammy & Jim , were so hospitable & always there if anything was needed & wonderful cooks ! Bed & room very cozy.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had a wonderful stay at Bay Haven Inn. Tammy and Jim were the most wonderful hosts- lots of a great intel about the area and delicious breakfast each morning. Do not skip the hot breakfast!😊 Perfect location to restaurants, shipping, beach and park. Would absolutely stay again our next trip to Cape Charles!

Perfect long weekend in cape Charles 

Tammy and Jim have a beautiful bed and breakfast.  The inn is very clean and our bed was very comfortable.  The breakfast was awesome.  The inn is in a great location and you can walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. We highly recommend and hope to return soon.
