Second visit as great as the first !

This was our fourth time back here at this lovely, quaint B&B. We had another wonderful stay. The staff does a fabulous job making sure of that. From check in to check out, everything was great. 
Thank you again, Angel staff. We will see you again sooner than later!

Another Wonderful Stay

Part of me did not want to write this, as my partner and I wanted to keep just how wonderful this establishment was to ourselves.  
First thing to know, this is a Victorian home built in the 1800’s, so to compare it to one of the major hotel/motel chains is ridiculous.  If you are looking for large bathrooms, closets, and cookie-cutter rooms and sporadic service, this is not for you.  Make sure to read the descriptions provided as each room has its own appeal.  
However, if you are looking for an Angel by the sea, this is for you.  Our room was located in the main house on the third floor.  The room was clean; the bed extremely comfortable, with a view of the ocean (1/2 block down); and above all quiet.  Breakfast, Tea-Time, and Wine and Cheese are all included in the price of one's stay; and is worth every penny.  
Breakfast is spectacular (Kudos to the chef!).  To start off, guests are offered a mélange of fresh fruit, fresh baked mornings muffins, a variety of juices and teas, and coffee.  Breakfast is made to order, and included generous portions of egg dishes, or pancakes, or waffles.  Not to your liking, there are also other choices, sure to please everyone.  You will not walk away hungry, unless you want to. 
If that is not enough, in the afternoon guests can enjoy a variety of teas and freshly baked goods, which include gluten free offerings.  This is then followed in the early evening by wine and cheese. Guests can choose from a variety of reds and whites, and each table is presented with a plate of cheeses, crackers, veggies, pickles, and meats.  No one was ever rushed from their table, and as people tend to relax and open up after a few glasses, we were able to engage in conversation with other guests during our stay, which only enhanced our experience.  
However, above all what makes this establishment so special is the very attentive, polite, helpful staff, which can make or break a business.  The owners are extremely lucky in that they have wonderful staff.   A special thank you to Mike, Michelle, Gage, Beau, and Kimber, who were among those who made us, as well as others, feel as if they were friends invited into their home, not visitors.  Their contribution towards making one’s stay, should not go unrewarded by the many guests who receive such excellent service.

A True Angel by the Sea

Place is dated, and should be, it’s an old property saved from demolition.
Location is amazing though.
Climbing to the 2d and 3rd floor can be a challenge, we didnt see an elevator.
Staff is very friendly.
The daily wine and cheese event from 530 to 7 is not to be missed.
Breakfast is simply outstanding.

Aint the Best, Aint the Worst, Worth A Try

My Wife and went to the Angel of the Sea for our Honeymoon in November 2005.  We have been back every year for our Wedding Anniversary and several other trips because we just missed the Angel of the Sea (and the Lobster House)!  We couldn't have selected a better location for our special time!  We have NEVER had a room that was dirty!  The bathroom, showers and windows are ALWAYS IMMACULATE!  The Staff has always been very attentive, polite, Professional and PROMPT when we made a request.  We have stayed there in the winter and an AIR CONDITIONER was not needed.  We always socialize with the other guests and  everyone appears very happy to be there!  These NEGATIVE REVIEWS I am reading are unfounded and complete Falsehoods.  If these unhappy people are regretting spend a little extra money, which included a Delicious Breakfast,  afternoon coffee, tea and daily fresh baked desserts, followed by Wine, Cheese, Assorted Meats, Vegetables and Dips, maybe these individuals should stick with the cheapest motel they find.  The Proprietors and Staff of The Angel of the Sea do not deserve this SLANDER, nor is it Warranted!

My Sister was attending the USCG graduation. Family mix up so needed a room at the last minute.
She needed a room on the first floor.
Her king room and bath were spacious and spotless. 
The Breakfast amazing.
Needless to say hey short stay was so much better than a couch!

A wonderful B&B

I wanted to check out this B&B for booking a birthday trip later this year. We treated our friends with a post-Christmas stay. The 4 of us had a wonderful time and while I was there, I was able to view room 9 in the 2nd floor with semi private balcony overlooking the ocean, and after viewing immediately booked 5 nights in July for my big birthday celebration!

We stayed in room 2 and our friends in room 4…both were very well furnished and featured walk-in showers. Many rooms have claw tubs, and being seniors we wanted a walk-in shower. Bathroom amenities were very good and the make-up wipes a plus!  The only issue we had was that the rooms were still a bit warm from the heat, but putting on the ceiling fan helped to circulate the air. 

The afternoon tea sitting by the fireplace in the parlor was a warm welcome after our 2 mile walk along the boardwalk…it was sooo windy and cold but we all had fun and a great workout !  After the tea time, we did another short stroll around the neighborhood and got back just in time for the wine/cheese reception. The charcuterie tray and the variety of wines was relaxing as we again sat by the parlor fireplace. The breakfast next morning was amazing, especially my eggs Benedict.  

My husband and I are looking forward to my birthday celebration in July!  Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful first time at Angel House of the Sea!

First Stay and Very Impressed

This bed and breakfast is a lovely well cared for throwback to years ago when hotels were quaint and service was personal. We only spent one night as we were moving on but we would have stayed longer. Across from the ocean in beautiful Cape May.  Room was more than cozy and quiet. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The friendly staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and they waited a little later to hold breakfast for us.  Highly recommend and will return. Great value.

My wife and I were on a short NJ holiday and we spent only one night at the beautiful quaint Angel of the Sea B and B.

We visited in November and it was a pleasant stay.  We stayed in Room 19 and found it to be quite acceptable unlike a previous reviewer.  19 has a private deck looking out on the back street that we enjoyed.  The tea was great, and the breakfast exceeded expectations.  Worth a stop.

Nice Experience

Where to start! The owners ought to be proud of the wonderful folks working here! The whole staff we above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast! We’ve already booked for Christmas next year!
