We had a nice stay at the inn, comfortable bed, good location.  Walking distance to Washington street shopping,the trolley rides, the ocean.  Drawbacks:   rooms are on the third floor, and some are a bit cramped for space.  Pluses: if you have a group you get the place to. yourselves.  Large porch with lots of seating was nice place to meet up.  Outstanding breakfasts prepared by hosts (served outside on porch, still warm enough in October!)
Also they offer a hospitality room on 3rd floor w coffee, tea, microwave, fridge.  
only one key per room so twice when hubby went for a walk after I did I ended up locked out of room, but not locked out of inn.

Nice place to stay

Jan and Mark are wonderful hosts sharing their beautiful Victorian home with four rooms for rent on the third floor.  We loved our comfortable rooms, Primrose and Morning Glory, which were both so clean thanks to Rose.
Our delicious breakfasts served outside on the wrap-around porch were prepared by Jan, and we really appreciated all the dining and sightseeing suggestions provided by our hosts.  The B&B’s location was convenient for walking to the beach and to Washington St Mall.

Excellent B&B Stay

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Luther Ogden Inn—Thank You, Jan & Mark! 

The accommodations are clean and comfortable, the wrap around porch is cozy (and a great place to bird watch), location fantastic (perfect distance to beach and town). Jan’s apple crepes were scrumptious! 

We’re already looking forward to next year’s visit.

July 2021 Vacation

The Luther Ogden Inn was a comfortable and well-located place for a two-day stay in Cape May.  It’s an easy walk to the beach and to the restaurant district.  The rooms are all on the third floor, and are fairly small.  One of the issues we had with our room was the amount of furniture; despite the small size of the room, there was a large wicker chair taking up a good deal of the available floor space, and what appeared to be a heating stove in the corner behind it, which I will assume was not really necessary given the room’s baseboard heating.  The internet quality was quite poor.

All in all, it was comfortable and convenient, but could be improved.

Comfortable and Convenient, but With a Few Isues

We were traveling past South Jersey and decided last minute to extend our trip and visit Cape May. We were very pleased with our experience at the Luther Ogden Inn. The room was lovely and comfortable with fantastic beach breezes, the breakfasts were excellent, and Jan and Mark were engaging hosts.  We'll be back.

Excellent birthday Beach Getaway

We just returned from a 5 night stay at The Luther Ogden Inn. This B&B is on a very quiet street and it's ideally located between the beach (2 short blocks) and the action of the Washington Street Mall. The house's public areas are quintessential Victorian comfort and our bedroom (Hydrangea) was full of charm. With the windows opened, you can hear the rhythmic ocean waves breaking on the beach. I can't personally speak to the gourmet breakfasts (dietary restrictions) but food prep smelled absolutely delicious. Jan and Mark are absolute pros when it comes to innkeepers. (25 years of hard but loving labor) I also want to mention the wrap-around porch, a true paradise of hospitality and relaxation. We were sad to checkout this morning, a true indication of a memorable stay.

Tranquility and Charm

Had a great time at the B&B. This was our first time staying at a B&B. The owners were very nice always asking if we needed anything during our stay. We opted out of the breakfast since we aren’t big breakfast people, but it looked good the few times we saw it. Room was clean as well. We will be back! :) 

Enjoyed our stay

Everything was perfect for a friends getaway at the Luther Ogden Inn... Very clean rooms...no worry parking... a block to the beach...in walking distance to most everything!! To top it off the owners are friendly, super accommodating, and Jan’s breakfasts were delicious!! We stayed for 4 nights and I can’t wait to return with my husband...

Perfect Cape May Getaway!

My husband and I just returned from a lovely stay at the Luther Ogden Inn in Cape May. The location is phenomenal - two blocks from the beach and a short walk into town. The room we stayed in was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and quiet. Our hosts, Jan and Mark made our stay even more pleasant by graciously welcoming us into their home, which is festively decorated for the Christmas holidays, and making us feel right at home. We had delightful conversations with Jan - who provided us with a great deal of useful information, dining tips, and suggestions about places to go and things to see in Cape May - on our arrival, and then with both her and her husband at the amazing breakfast in the morning. Jan is quite a cook; breakfast was as good as, or better than, anything you could get at a good restaurant. I am so glad we chose to stay here for our Cape May visit, and would highly recommend this to everyone looking for a clean, safe place to stay.

A charming b&b in Cape May!

We just came back from a two night stay, and it was just wonderful.  It was our first B and B experience, and Jan and Mark made it so positive.  From the beautiful front porch to Jan's breakfasts to getting to meet a few other people there, it was a very nice and comfortable experience.  We loved our room, and the inn is beautiful.  We are so glad that we stayed here, and we would love to come back again.
