Excellent rooms, each one with a direct view of the ocean! 2 upper floors have balconies to sit and watch the magnificent sunrises. The only down fall is the stairs required for the upper floors.  Steep and a lot of them! But that view! I didn't mind the stairs. Comfortable rooms. Wish there was a screen curtain for the balcony door so you could sleep with the door open to hear the ocean. 

Rooms with a FANTASTIC  view!

This is my first time a this Inn, and won’t be my last.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable.  Beds are very comfortable.
The building itself is rustic and a little weathered, but it is right on the ocean, so that is to be expected.   
The down sides are the stairs.. but if you want a nice view.. do the stairs.
Storage is very minimal.  The rooms could use a large bureau, maybe a table on the deck and a shelf in bath for “stuff”

Great stay

Hotel looked beautiful online so we decided to splurge for very pricey room. Not shown on any pictures as they are in rear but each floor requires going up stairs with your luggage as no elevator. Second floor was VERY difficult for us seniors both up and down - third floor even worse. Also had leak in room dripping between beds (and no other rooms available). Workmen in ceiling (!) tried to find to no avail. Front desk lady was very nice and apologetic, said she would talk to manager about small refund, but owner never responded even to follow up calls. View was very good but not worth a difficult climb to an expensive, leaky room when many other hotels on same beach.

Beware - stairs only - wooden and steep

Where do I start? The beds were extremely soft, not good for your back. I didn't sleep the entire weekend! Very disappointed. The outlets were in weird spots in the room, there was no light for the room, only a bureau lamp. The shower was amazing though. The refrigerator was tiny, there wasn't a little table to make sandwiches for the beach,  the steps going up to the rooms are old and dangerous! You need to put in an elevator! The outside patio outside the room is nice, but needs a table out there. Most importantly, the people at the front desk were rude. They were not nice at all. The cleaning staff were aweso me! I won't be staying here again! Also, no clock or phone in the room.

Awful experience

We paid a steep price for a room here and while I realize it is high season, it was quite a disappointment. The room was clean and well appointed however, the bathroom door didn't close, the bathroom outlet didn't work, it was very small, the only light was a dim table lamp on the nightstand, none of the light switches worked so we were unable to turn off the deck light, the office is only open from 9 to 9 with no building manager on site, no clock.  This is a very basic hotel with a spectacular view, so I guess you choose your priorities.

Not Much For the Money

We are currently staying at the Grand View. It was our 20 year wedding anniversary yesterday & planned a trip away a couple nights. Made a mistake, (meant to book the Anchorage) & it has turned out to be one of the best mistakes I’ve made! This hotel is perfect for a romantic little getaway. The best view on Long sands, private balconies that are quite cozy, very accommodating & kind staff who go above & beyond!! Even came & picked me up when I got stranded when hubby locked keys in the truck. 
The rooms are nice, clean, pretty comfortable beds, a fridge, microwave & table set. We are having such a good time we may extend our stay an extra night! Will definitely be back!! Stan, thank you for getting the wine for us that my sister had sent.

20th Anniversary trip- amazing experience 🤩

place is very dated. For the money the beds were comfortable did notice no top sheet. The AC was very loud and old. We had an upstairs unit and it was very noisy the stairs are old didn't seem very safe. Pool was nice. Overall it was ok but pricey for nothing special..too 👎  its location is fantastic 👏

Long weekend

The room was fantastic balcony with ocean view.  The beds were comfortable and bathroom clean.  Also great shower.  And a fantastic staff with Mike and Stan. Will defiantly visit again once this virus passes.  Also pool was clean and comfortable.  Also the hotel is in a great location to both the lighthouse near bye and restaurants like the lobster cove and foxes are close by as well. I stayed here the last week it was opened in October of 2019.  Trust me you wont regret staying here great place and I had a great vacation.  Will visit again.

Fantastic hotel with great views and great atmosphere.

Disgusting, dirty, dusty or where to begin with false advertisement? The TOLIET base hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, there was hair and clumps of dust all over the bathroom, coffee maker was coated in dust. We had been in our room 10 mins and the tv remote didn’t work. The woman at the front desk said she’d be right up and after 55 mins she comes up with another remote that doesn’t work and had the audacity to say in front of my children if someone had smoked in the room. Neither me nor my wife smoke never mind with two kids in the room or at all for that matter. So as this wasn't Aggravating the internet didn’t work on any devices, and I have the newest iPhone and newest Mac book pro so it’s not my devices. I than go down to the desk after waiting another 45 mins so now short of two hours and the woman from the front desk comes practically running around the desk and says here,here,  here’s the remote and I said I wanted to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager. I said there’s no manager for this whole establishment? She said well what is the issue and listed off all the issues and she did NOTHING to accommodate or fix anything. Nothing but a poor attitude and didn’t care. 
I go to go to the office when they open which is clear on there sign that the office opens at 7 am and wasn’t till 753.again more false information. Check out time is 9 am but in there rooms it says 10. Place is nothing but a nasty disgusting unsanitary place and I will be contacted department of health and human services because this place isn’t sanitary to function. Finally speak to the woman at the desk list the complaints say I want to speak to a manager. Than I say o want the managers info to contact them and she refused to give me any information.

Absolute filth pit and false advertisement

Where to begin? So many things just so wrong with this place. I’ll start with the  booking process. The price I found online compared to the price when I called directly to book was close to 60$ more, and I got a bit of an argument over the difference. The man I spoke with was a bit cranky and “folksy” in a Stephen King/Maine kind of way. Unfortunately, hastily booking several rooms for family and other places being full left me with no options. I now understand why this place had vacancies. I’ll just list it off: crappy WiFi, AC was so loud it sounded like the compressor was actually in my head (or a cargo plane taking off, in my head), no spare rolls of TP left in the bathroom, bathroom vent was not operational, nothing to hang towels or clothes on to dry (we are at the beach, right?), indoor pool was more of a large soaking tub, towels not replaced unless they’re left outside and you specify how many, bedding not changed, garbage has to be left outside to be picked up, no sprinkler system or modern smoke/heat detectors, ice maker is in the office, so have fun searching for ice at night, All of this for 335$ a night. Lesson learned. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay elsewhere. 😐
