Beautiful place to stay, calming relaxing, beautiful views. Everyone was very nice. Excellent for a romantic gateway. Place was super cozy and cute. Food was really good. Excellent location. walking distance from downtown.

We stayed in the hideaway suite. Although it didn't have ocean views, we loved it because it had its own private patio where you can close the door and have a little haven of your own. The room itself is very private, when you open the windows there's foliage covering most of the view so it was nice having them open and not have anyone looking in. The property is beautiful and the room itself was very cozy. The bed was very comfortable , everything was clean, and it was nice to have a little table and chairs for eating or working on your laptop. They deliver breakfast to your room in the morning, which was really nice. The staff is friendly, and the location is within walking distance of Capitola Village (about a 10-15 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk). This is definitely our favorite place to stay in Capitola!!

Ocean view from the property was breathtaking. 
Love the eucalyptuses on the property, the air filled with its aroma.

As always, our stay in the Holiday House at Monarch Cove Inn was fabulous even though the weather was stormy we were warm and cozy. Easy walk to town and the beach. There are many very good restaurants in Capitola Village.
We will be returning soon.

Great Hideaway

My husband and I REALLY enjoyed our stay! We stayed in the LILAC room and the OCEAN VIEW is BREATHTAKING! It was VERY relaxing and you forget how close you are to the busy night life because all you hear is the ocean waves and it was so private. Having breakfast in our patio porch was simply wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The garden around the house is so nice. We loved walking around the area and enjoying everything Monarch Cove Inn had to offer. We WILL DEFINITELY come back with our family because we know they will LOVE and ENJOY it as much as we did! Thank you!

Blissful, Beautiful, Captivating, Relaxing, Romantic, and just THE BEST experience! 

I stayed a couple of nights in the Ocean View room.  The view cannot be beat!  The room is charming.  Nice little fridge and microwave.  The deck outside the French doors is shared with the Lilac Room.  There is a nice table and chairs with the amazing ocean view.  The Monarch Cove Inn is one of my favorite places, charming and beautiful!

Charming and beautiful!

Incredible views within walking distance to downtown Capitola.  Comfy and cozy with a special breakfast treat.  
Beautiful grounds especially in the Spring. Some deferred maintenance. Great decor with each room uniquely decorated.

Fabulous location

We stayed for just one night but 3 of us (plus our dogs) were very comfortable in our cottage. The property has an amazing location just a short walk away from town, and is right on the ocean. It's charming, quiet, and peaceful.

Comfortable stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much we rebooked for February . Close to food fun and the beach town of capitola. The room was very comfortable and we loved the inclosed back yard so our dog was safe.

Monarch Inn, private, perfect location

We had a beautiful stay. The room was cozy, quiet and comfortable. Summer, the inn manager, was gracious and more than accommodating for our requests. Our continental breakfast was delivered promptly at our requested time and it was delicious. The location is walking distance to Capitola village for restaurants and shopping. The grounds are beautiful.
