Very minimal hotel with sketchy housekeeping, safety, and  amenities. Not sure what was really cleaned. One night we came to the room and a mouse ran across the floor to the adjoining room. Friendly, yet ineffective, manager.  Didn’t perform housekeeping as promised.  Bed was comfortable and the heating worked well. Would not voluntarily come back here. Here for work. 

Don’t expect too much

I was traveling and was planning on staying in Battle Mountain, NV but there were no vacancies in the area so I continued East to Carlin and grabbed the first thing I saw.
The facility was not kept up.
The toilet and shower area was not cleaned adequately.
The shower head was in disrepair and needed help to use properly.
The sink and counter top had not been wiped down since the last use either.
There were no pillow cases.
Complementary breakfast consisted of sugary cereals only with a gallon of milk available for both the coffee and the cereal.
Got a bad vibe from the check in person.
At least it was over priced.

Find a different hotel

Was charged $145 for 2 people. Toilet was loose. The shower had no walls or built up flooring so water went out into hallway. Drain  was plugged up. If we hadn’t been exhausted we would have went on. Avoid. I asked before I was charged if they had any AARP or senior discounts. Said I was getting a discount.

Run do not walk

This is a property that is old, out of date and poorly maintained.  Furniture is a mixed assortment of "flea market" purchased or salvage items.  Our room had recently laid vinyl flooring but a shorter cove base was applied to the walls leaving remnants of the old carpet cove and a distinct mismatch of paint lines.  The room door would not close and latch without assistance,  If you smoke cigarettes you will save money staying here as the tobacco reek is so strong you will not need to"light up."   Room price is not as advertised.

Poorly Maintained Old Property - Reeks of Cigarette Smoke

Room was acceptable.  We were traveling with dogs and they accepted them, which is the real determining factor for us.  We booked the room, moved our stuff in and then went to walk the dogs....sand burrs everywhere....could not find a spot to actually walk the dogs that was not covered in them.  Not the hotels fault at all, but not doable for us.  So we got a refund and moved on down the road.
