We've rented a one BR waterfront unit two years in a row now at Chinquapin. Our condo for August 2023 was especially clean which is really important to us and you can't beat that amazing view of the lake!   The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The staff at the rental office was very pleasant and accommodating.   There's a few docks and a small beach, both with chairs, which was great for catching some sun, playing in the water or simply relaxing and enjoying the view of gorgeous Lake Tahoe.  The location is a short distance from restaurants, grocery stores, shops and beaches, both directions.  Overall a very nice experience, problem free.

Most beautiful lake I have ever seen, the area is so clean and nice. The hiking is spectacular you have beautiful views of the mountains, the lake and the woods.  The town is nearby to get any of your shopping needs.  Cute stores with unique gifts.  Everyone was so nice, the grounds were beautiful and we had a great time.

Keep Tahoe Blue

The views of the lake are amazing. Our lakefront unit was perfect. We would recommend very highly. I don’t understand some of the crabby reviews below. I thought the setting was by far the nicest on Lake Tahoe

Fantastic Spot

We've stayed here with friends a few times now. The grounds are very nice and peaceful. You can't get much closer to the lake. Nice little beach where you can put in your kayak or sit and enjoy the water. There is a nice walking path all along the water.The views are wonderful. A very relaxing spot.

LOCATION and VIEWS!

Stayed here New Year's Eve 2015 with family and really thought it was special. Great snow, views of lake, perfect for families. Setting in old-growth woods made location on the shoreline very special. At the time, planned to go again . . .

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!

The one bedroom condo we rented (#154) was nicely furnished, well equipped, clean, spacious and with a beautiful view of the Lake.  The complex is large and we enjoyed walking around the property, swimming in the lake, and just relaxing on the deck.  Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, beautiful views

Nice, clean and quite, we enjoyed our stay for a week. You can not get a better location. A little expensive but worth it for all of the amenities the place offers. the front office people are not the best but we only had a few questions for them. We decided to just explore on our own in tow
