Its is in need of an update which causes people to give it a bad review.  The bed is far from extreme comfort but isnt the worst.  Has everything you need as a tourist and is clean but worn.  No coffee and have to pay for ice.  

Tired but clean function

It's not the best or worst place I've ever stayed in.  But it was comfortable enough, clean enough and affordable at a busy time of year.  Less than a 10 minute drive to all of the points of interest, but in a quiet area so I could sleep well at night.  The gentleman at the check in desk was friendly and helpful. 

Simple

Love the friendly manager. No frills. Great night's sleep. A nice hot shower and you're minutes from the battlefield visitors center. This is a decent option that we never tried before. Think about this stop to lay your head

What a sh!+ hole! Pictures online are NOT what you get! This place looks and smells like a rent by the hour who9e house. You can't hang your clothes, the microwave is too close, the air conditioner was a joke, fridge was gross, the desk person acted like it would just kill him to give us 2 more pillows, no type of breakfast. Stains, hair on the bed and the covers, along with yellowish- gray sheets that dream of being white again, no hair. dryer.Floors that are stained  worn and sticky and get this.. STAPLED, YES I SAID STAPLED.. walls that are stained, mismatched paint the place is just nasty. Yes it's old,worn and stinky. I feel like we got duped out of our $$for this room! It is noisy here, weirdo people in the parking lot all night, doors slamming. I could go on but I'll attach pictures .... wish we could get a refund. I'ts 235am and we are still awake because of all the noise and the uncomfortable pillows and mattress. All the other bad reviews are all true. We spent one night at the Super 8 By Windham and will forever go there the next time we come here.

OMG 😲 NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE

My family and I decided to book a trip to Gettysburg and we needed two rooms and nothing closer to the center of town was available so we decided to come here. You had to pay for ice. You cannot use the microwave if someone else near your room is also using the microwave because the power will go out because it went out on us (the rooms do NOT have their own circuits = fire hazard). There’s very sketchy characters out in the parking lot of all hours of the night!!! It’s definitely not family or dog friendly, the rooms are very small. Water damage in the ceiling. When we went to ask for more towels the man at the front desk had an attitude and made it a chore to give us two towels. The shower screams when you turn it on. It was just not a good experience at all. It made me and my family very uncomfortable, I was just happy the door had three locks on the inside to lock the door. The door doesn’t lock from the outside with the key, so you need to lock it from the inside first and then close the door.

Do. Not. Stay. Here.

It’s okay

First time and definitely my last stay here. We were woken up at 3am by some lowlife cursing and wanting to fight his girlfriend in the room next door then slams the door shut. This happened again at 4am and again at 6am. When we left our room at 9:30am we were greeted by at least 6-7 Gettysburg police cars and U. S Park rangers as back up. The people next door were being arrested. That with bugs getting in under the opening under the door and having to pay at their ice machine was enough! Avoid this place!

Worst stay ever!

Not a great hotel. We needed a pet friendly hotel but they were less than nice about our small/medium dog. They didn't really seem like they even wanted to give us the air conditioner controller (because yes, you can't control it from your room I guess). The room was old, outdated, and smelled funky. The toiletries were dusty and cheap and the floor was sticky in the bathroom. Overall, would definitely not stay again. The location didn't feel very safe to me either, not sure why.

Would not do again

My buddy and I planned an impromptu trip to Gettysburg and needed a place to stay. We both love the supernatural, and had been dying to to take one of the guided ghost tours. We're college students who are on a tight budget. Enter the Red Carpet Inn. I love this place! Affordable, smoker friendly rooms, and close to the sights. What else can you ask for? The price was perfect for an overnight stay. Reading some of the reviews makes me wonder what these people were expecting for a place at this price. It seems that some people just need to find something to complain about . The room had a tv, beds, and a bathroom. Bam! Exactly what I expected. I'd definitely stay here again (and plan on doing so again soon). Feel like taking a last minute trip to a small town with some massive history? On a budget and just need a room to crash in for a night? You've found it. Highly recommend. 

Great little motel to spend a night

Stayed there in room  4 in June, same smell of carpet cleaner, but I tolerated it. Stayed again in August in room # 2. Same smell of saturated carpet deodorizer. I'm allergic to some chemicals, propellants, aerosols, and particulates. Had the worst sinus headache when I awoke the next morning. Its not to overbearing when the AC is on but long exposure to it really affected me. Some may not notice the smell but with my medical issues I certainly bore the pain the next two days. Other than the reaking of the carpet and the aftermath of my sinus headache, I enjoyed the rest of the stay.
