Under the new management, we would recommend staying here anytime! Our room was super clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. It is cheaper than other mid-range motels around.

Clean and comfortable

Being someone who travels for work, this has to have been one of the worst experiences at a hotel/motel I've ever had. Stayed for over a week and almost 4 days into my stay I realized that the toilet was pouring water (not leaking but pouring water) every time it was flushed. A bunch of clothes were soaked as a result of this. To top off the stay, I woke up on the last morning to an unexplained $100 charge on my credit card. The management/staff even was going to let me check out and leave without bringing it up. I had to bring it up and ask about this unexplained charge. Seems like very shady business practice to not at least email/print/comment that an additional charge was placed on my bill. I also had to on multiple occasions run down to the front desk to ask for clean towels and toilet paper, since housekeeping would often not stop by the room. I would steer clear of this business. Not sure who runs this, but not good business ethics. Will not be going here again and will be making sure people avoid this place.

Avoid This Business

If a lower score was available that is what I would be rating this place. My husband was in his room for less than 2 hours and was ate up by fleas. He was forced to switch hotels in the middle of the night, causing us to pay an outrageous fee to find other accommodations and my husband to miss out on valuable sleep needed to perform his taxing job the next day. The front desk ensured him he would be receiving a full refund. However, upon me calling the front desk the next afternoon I was told by a very rude individual that we would be charged for the entire first night's stay. He stated that because my husband did not state what was wrong with the room he was not able to issue a refund for "used" facilities. He also stated he was not going to return money to a customer who used the shower, even though I ensured him that my husband did not such thing. In fact, he had to shower at the new hotel to was off the flea infestation that was acquired at this sad excuse for a motel. The front desk person also smirked and mocked me on the phone stating that bugs were not in my husband's room. Thus, we were made to feel like liars and had to pay for a room that was uninhabitable. Word to the wise, do not stay at this hotel unless you want extra roommates (fleas) and a rash within hours of checking in!

Don't Stay Here!

Will never stay here again!
Room was dirty. Outdated, carpet was nasty and dirty. Was without water for 2 whole days. The owner is very nosey and closes parking lot at 9PM. He has made racist comments about black guests.

The Staff here is so Wonderful and so friendly!  We almost didn't stay but so glad we did and even set up for another week after 3 days as so comfortable.  You can't find a motel where everyone is so Nice and inviting and takes such great care of our needs.  Quiet, Dog Friendly, Accomodating at it's best! Convenient location and nice Big parking lot for our RV.  Made relocating from Idaho so much easier on us and our dogs.

Friendly Staff Comfortable Beds!

This is my third time staying here. I have to say its getting better. I see improvements. Better cleaning of the room, painting and decluttering of the lobby. They are really trying to make it a nice place. Stayed a few weeks ago and it was a great stay. New coffee pots in the room and new towels ! Now if you would just start working on those noisy bathtub inserts Ill give you guys five stars. My only complaint.

Getting better !

I was ready to be sorely disappointed. But this inexpensive hotel in southeastern Ky. was really pretty good. Staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful; we were all on a first-name basis by the time I left. Room had been renovated with granite countertops, microwave, fridge, good bed & bed linens, nice desk/ chair, etc.  Probably an 8.5/10 for cleanliness, which again was waaaay better than I thought it’d be. I’d stay here again.

Better than I expected

When I walked into the motel, I was made to feel very welcomed and at ease from the care the staff showed toward my husband and I. The male clerk at the desk, Mike, was very curious, polite and  helpful. He was also very patient and willingly explained the room options as well as the breakfast included each morning, with our room. We are very happy with the comfort and cleanliness of our room. We slept through the night very peacefully. We will definitely plan to stay here again, each time that  we come to Hazard.  These people really know how to take care of guests.

I felt right at home, comfortable and cared for.

No electric landed me in this motel. Rooms are very spacious and clean. All staff is very professional and courteous. Manager is very professional and nice to visit with. Makes you feel right at home. If you find yourself in Hazard for whatever reason, give these guys a try. You will not be disappointed.

Hurt Family

I had a great time during my stay here. All staff members seem to be very serious about their jobs and keep the place super organized and very clean. I will stay again plus tell my friends and family in the area. Thank you guys I don’t normally do reviews but I feel you all deserved it.
