We spent about a week here - including Christmas Day - and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are charming and have great individual character, maintaining a historic feel while offering the latest technology and great wireless throughout. There is a lot of common space where the seven of us were able to gather comfortably outside our rooms. We were able to bring our dog, which was excellent, and we all felt very welcome, adults and kids alike. Brad is a great host, and built fires for us in the large hearth a couple of nights - and made hot chocolate for us! Breakfasts were varied and quite tasty. While we were already very familiar with the area, Brad had some great recommendations and connections to facilitate some interesting outings. We'll definitely be back!

A very happy Christmas

We were overjoyed to find this gem of a venue for my daughters wedding. Brad and Cindi were the perfect hosts. The history, the spacious grounds and themed rooms added to the charm, as well as a most delicious breakfast buffet! We highly recommend!

Family Wedding

My friend and I stayed in the Boxwood room for 3 nights. We couldn't have been happier.  Brad gave us a tour of the Inn when we first got there, telling us its unique history.  Our room was very comfortable and perfectly suited to our needs.  Cindy cooked us delicious breakfasts each morning. We enjoyed the ambiance of the place, and enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the evenings.

Quaint Inn full of charm and hospitality

My husband and I were looking for a close getaway for Valentine’s Day and I found this gem in the making close by. We had never been to Longwood Gardens or the Kennett Square area so we decided to give it a shot.  I am so glad we did!  

Brad met us at the door upon arrival and gave us a great tour of the history of the inn.  The inn is impeccably clean and decorated in a comfortable way that makes you want to just relax and enjoy.

We stayed in the Rose Room. It was clean and beautiful with great views as well as a nice private bath with the charm of an old toilet.

Brad and Cindy were great hosts.  They provided recommendations for food, activities, and local shops to visit. They also served two amazing breakfasts.  We are planning a trip back in Spring so we can do more and stay again.  We can’t wait to go back and we highly recommend the inn for a weekend as well as any events you are planning! 

A Gem in the Making

Wild Wisteria B&B is a lovely old house!   We were very comfortable and welcomed. Brad is an excellent host!  Everything was great!   They had great recommendations for restaurants too!  It’s a great property for celebrations

Short getaway

My husband surprised me with a weekend trip to go to Chadds Ford Winery and Longwood Gardens.  He booked this little gem on a whim and I am glad he did.

YES there is construction, YES there is alot going on, but YES there is passion and love being poured into this treasure by the owners and I LIKE IT!  The owner is so personable and knowledgable about the area and you cant help, but get excited along with him when he gives you a tour and lets you know all about the inn.  His wife, Cindy (whom we did not meet) has a quirky sense of design which I appreciate very much.  The beds are to DIE FOR.  We stayed in the lavender room and it is so cozy and warm and exudes character. 

I also LOVED that fact that their son is interested in cooking and he has a hand in the breakfast spread which is VERY TASTY!  

I am BEGGING for them to host a murder mystery weekend.  I am telling you it would be a ton of fun and a GOLD MINE for the owners.  With the squeaky floorboards, woods out back, and a ton of imagination it would be A HIT.  If they ever host one we are THERE along with our friends.

A little bit of whimsy in Pennsylvania

Rooms are comfortable.  New owners are in the process of fixing up the property that was not attended to adequately for years.  Food was just O.K., but everything seems to be improving.  They just need a little more time.

Friendly hosts and good location

Quaint inn.  Room was very comfortable.  The hosts were wonderful and friendly.  They were very accommodating and offered advice on restaurants and attractions.  Breakfast was delicious.  Close by the gardens.  Not far from Wilmington.

Homey B&B

Stayed at the Pennsbury Inn with friends and was disappointed.  The main rooms are going through a renovation and had electrical outlet coming out of the walls - dangerous.  Walls are in the middle of being painted.  The furniture was not at all comfortable and the lighting was either too bright or it was too dark.  The bedrooms were so hot it was uncomfortable sleeping.  The rooms are messy and disorganized. The main compliant is the family lives among the guest instead of staying in their own living quarters. Their personal things are scattered all over the place and the children are hanging around - eating their meals and watching tv.  One child even has his room among the guest rooms - which feels uncomfortable.  The outside of the house has junk laying around the yard.  The breakfasts were ok.  Would not recommend.

Lacks Charm and Comfort

Now in new hands, what was the Pennsbury Inn, is renamed Wild Wisteria BnB. This 18thC house on route 1 is being restored & modernised by Cindy & her husband. 
It has a lovely, quirky interior, spacious gardens & a plenty of parking. Each of the 6 bedrooms has its own theme/decor and our twin (Boxwood) was pretty with its topiary wallpaper and green & yellow furnishings. You can hear the road noise as its in the front with 3 windows, but it wasn't too bad. We had very comfortable beds, a good-sized bathroom & large soft towels. Cindy's delicious breakfasts are made to order while her son Benji makes you coffee.
