THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. Please don’t stay here if you want a comfortable stay. Sugar creek is invested with rats.
This is a hotel that drug addicts and prostitution happens. Crime rate is ridiculous. Please don’t stay here. BLOOD ON CARPETS NO PHONE IN THE ROOM it’s across the street from a plasma donation center and heavy traffic. Terrible area

Run, do not stay here

They do not clean there rooms with cov-19 guide lines..hole's in walls roaches,rats beds smell like piss dont change covers. As well as drug addicts walking around the parking lot and drug dealer prostitution all night long hanging out on stairs yelling fights and unfriendly staff blood spots on walls shower curtain and lamps hand prints bathroom doors dirty if i havent already booked and had a car i would of rather slept there and its advertising that in university area but its on sugar creek rd which is a really crime infested area and highly recommend do not  purchase at this place it needs to be demolished. New paint but its once u get inside as well as people living in the bushes very unsafe place to be dont come out after dark.

WORST EVER!!!!!!!!!!

This location is not ideal for a family with kids.  Not as clean as shown on online pictures.  The location has very heavy traffic which causes an issue when coming and going to hotel.  I was told new management was there and had updates done.

Not For Family

The bed was comfortable
 The towels were thread bare
We had asked for a room with accessible bars the was one in the shower nor well
placed. The price was inexpensive. The room smelled moldy. We had a difficult time getting the temperature right. Some of the outlets did not support our phone chargers
There was no phone in the room, no information at all. They give give us a good lead on a restaurant. It was also close to downtown where we had symphony tickets. The had no information on the venue or churches.

Disappointed

Ok so we had to stay last minute due to family issues and this place was the most disgusting and uncomfortable hotel for the pricing. They even have the nerve to ask for a dog deposit when the rooms clearly look like dog pens or murder scenes. I found a capsule with brown powder substance in it, a baby cup, no visible vacuuming behind nightside table when I tried to plug in phone to call front desk for supposedly advertised free WiFi and because of the shady neighbors and ambiance of the outside of the hotel I was terrified to walk out without my boyfriend. There are definitely other solutions and this place has the nerve of running background checks and forbidding certain zip code residents from staying here. Insanely ludacris! 
Only positive thing I can say is due to emergency check in was at like 4 am and we paid ten dollars for an early check in and didn’t have to rush come 11 am. So very appreciated but I don’t know anyone who would even want to stay longer unless dangerously exhausted and possible would kill someone or yourself operating a motor vehicle.

Last minute stay

So, my friend and I, we're traveling to Charlotte for the afternoon, we arrived early in the morning, and we look everywhere for different vacant hotels, which there were none, or the others had scared us off, after having a bad experience at the "economy inn" located across the street, exhausted we settled for the "moon and cloud, travel inn sign" which caught our attention... We thought oh this could be an alright place after going through hell to find a vacant room, as we arrive, there are multiple men hanging around during odd hours, upon entry to the room, we had a big smell which reeked of marijuana(when we asked for non smoking) there was an ashtray by the bed(still had ashes in it) we open the door, and see that our dead bolt barley latched, safety latch wasn't even there, we don't even know if we were locked in, holes in the curtains, mystery stains on the carpet? (Blood?) was someone killed? I mean really people get it together, a hotel is a place to sleep and rest up, not worry if you're going to be the next victim., fiddle our way towards the bathroom. Brown thick stains on toilet, it looked like the shower was about to fall to pieces, holes in the shower, wall, paint chipping, shower leaked, the bathroom leaked, anyways on to some more awful encounters, we pull back the sheets, stains, holes, odor was awful, my friends decided to sleep on her bath towels from home, just in case we would contract something, as we were about to get into the bed, I almost stepped on a huge gold hoop earring(just one) whoever is missing it, sorry I tossed it. Conform wrapper under the bed, didn't want to mess with the tv because the TV stand looked like it wasn't even serving a purpose looked like one move or touch it would fall apart, almost got followed to the room by other guests multiple times, must I remind you two younger women in their twenties don't really want to feel uncomfortable during this. Outlets didn't work. Ohh and a light in the bathroom? Doesn't exist, you have to go back to the 1900s and light a candle just to see, So you shower in the dark basically.loud rap music through the halls awaking us in the morning. Loud convos waking us up also, please turn your car around. And just park somewhere safe and sleep in it. Broken spoiler on someone's subie down the road. This was flat out ridiculous. Also woke up in a rash, I guess from the bed. Which I will probably have a doctor look at it. This is flat OUT STUPID! I want my refund back, we stayed in room 233. Then left. Only positive thing I can say is the lady who checked me in that morning today at 6:39 was super sweet. And nice. 

To sleep in my car or sleep at travel inn? That's the real question

Stayed at travel inn right off sugar creek and woke up in middle of night and saw 3 bedbugs in bed with me!  I hate bedbugs!  Also seen them at Brook wood inn across the street too.  Don't stay at either one if u need a good night rest!

Dont do it

Obviously an older property, but decently maintained. Check in was quick and pleasant.  Room was good, clean and neat.  Again, it is an older property, but you can see the staff really cares about it.  Lots of close options for food. Happy we stayed here.
