This is our favorite getaway spot. In addition to a lovely place to stay, there is great food, the art scene, bicycles to rent on the Riverwalk, and the fabulous downtown Chattanooga. We have gone in all 4 seasons, and we have always felt well taken care of.

Home away from home in Chattanooga

I pretty much exclusively stay at B&Bs and historic inns. Bluff View Inn easily makes my top three stays ever. The accomodations were lovely. I stayed at the Martin House in the Anna Houston room. It was a large, corner room with lots of windows and natural light. The bathroom was roomy, clean, and had lots of hot water. The gas fireplace was the absolute best on chilly nights. Fresh ice, water, and sodas were always available. The parking lot was incredibly convenient located  right outside the house. Breakfast vouchers were provided for a cafe/bakery right around the corner. The food and drinks were great, but be prepared to wait in long lines.

Lovely Home and District

This a great place to stay in B& style.  It is located walking distance tothe downtown area and the waterfront.  I have stayed there int he past and was delighted to see that they survived the covid pandemic.  This B&B has several homes on the site in the Art District which are adjacent to each other.  I have stayed n two of them and they were very comfortable.  The staff couldn't be better.  

Great place to stay

We were excited about our visit and I had read the email that was sent very well. The email said free parking. The email did give a phone number to call. When we got there it was a rainy bleak day and we looked all over for where to park. There were only signs that said "paid parking" or parking on the street which was all full. We called the number on the email and I left a message. We then did not see anyone and took a chance of parking in a "tow away zone" and kept watching our car. We went inside. About 30 min later the lady to check us in came back. She immediately told my husband "we own the block" but he questioned her since it was city streets and she admitted they don't own the streets but just park anywhere as they own all the business (the lots where it said "tow away") and said it will be fine. If only someone had put this in the mail. I said I called and she said asked didn't I see the number on the desk and then chided me for not seeing that one. It set the tone for a rough start. The next day at the "breakfast" which was down the street around the block, I asked the girl which pastries and she said the bottom 2 shelves. When I asked for one of the valentines cookies, she said "not those" and I said you said the bottom 2 shelves. The girl was curt about it. We did like the room, which was cozy and had a nice bed. It needed a little step stool really as it was very high. We did not like that there was not sufficient plugs by the bed but we got around it. We did mot like how even this long after Covid, they are using that as an excuse to not serve a real breakfast in the house where you stay but instead making you have to go outside down the street and round the block. 

Disappointed in lack of directions, the poor breakfast set up, customer service.

This is a charming, convenient place to stay! Welcoming in every way. We’ve stayed in 2 rooms here & found both to be most comfortable. Nice front porch with rockers. Right next door you have an amazing coffee house with fresh bakery items. And the Riverwalk & other attractions are close by.

Stay here!

They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.  The setting – both inside and outside – is as lovely as the website mentions.  The room was so comfortable.  Usually we don’t sleep well in strange beds but I just wanted to stay in bed all day it was so comfortable.  All of the buildings being centered together was fantastic.  We knew of Rembrandt’s coffeehouse and Tony’s Italian restaurant from past visits and they were just as good again.  Getting reservations at Tonys was soooo useful – there was a wait of over an hour for people without reservations.  Location was wonderful – we could walk to everything we wanted within just a few minutes. 

 

Get the chocolate covered strawberries – we don’t usually like them but got them as it was a special weekend.  They were out of this world.  I had to fight my husband for them!

We stayed two nights at the charming BnB…beautiful views, steps from the wonderful Hunter Museum and River Gallery. There private sculpture garden is world class. Great part of town…easy access to the trails and Tony’s restaurant was a perfect way to cap off the day.

Convenient to the ARTS!

The B&B is adorable....  elegant but affordable.  Plus you'll be near EVERYTHING... Restaurants,  Art Gallery and the hunter Museum  and the Best Walking bridge in the Country.      Don't think Twice..... book it.

Our 2 night stay could not have been nicer. Convenient location, excellent breakfast, clean, beautiful lodging, great view and knowledgeable friendly staff. Highly recommend! Kelly was very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice and spacious. Best French Toast I’ve ever had.

Great B & B

I brought my 7 year old for a night downtown. We live in Chattanooga but both needed a break from our crazy life at home. We stayed in the Anna Houston room and had the most amazing night. Kelley was so sweet when we checked in and my daughter was surprised by the yummy chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our room. 
We walked to Northshore to shop, visited the Hunter Art Museum, and even rode the Carousel at Coolidge park. We had a wonderful dinner at Tony’s and breakfast was also spectacular. 
Our room was perfect and the bathroom whirlpool was so relaxing. We both slept well and the hotel was quiet and tucked away in Bluff View. She loved the views and didn’t want to go home. 
Thank you for a memorable night! We will return for sure!
The only thing I wish we had was a fridge so we could bring our leftovers home from Tony’s.
