We made reservation to this hotel because all better hotels in Cheboygan had no vacancies. It is bad. Very old rooms smells. Rooms not very well cleaned.  Old carpet and furniture. Mold in bathrooms. 
Avoid!

Don’t stay at this hotel.

The front desk person needs customer service training badly!  She started out ok and it just went down hill from there.  She stated "don't lock yourself out of your room because we don't appreciate having to come in to unlock your room."  I've never locked myself out of a motel room yet.  The motel is very clean but, it's a $55 a night motel, not $150!!!  We had a TV in the bedroom closet. The A/C was in one bedroom and was suppose to cool the whole area.  It was a 2 bedroom + bath motel room.  Anyway, I guess they can get away with it as Mackinaw City is pricey. Stay there if you have to.  Good luck

Front Desk Person & Motel

Extremely nice people. Great customer service. We were in a pinch. With the bridge on an emergency shut down, the price was extremely fair. They were very accommodating to our situation. And didn’t jack the price up. Extremely nice and even gave us recommendations to eat. 

Great price for the area.

Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated.

Would recommend anyone passing thru or looking for a nice place to stay. Even had a swimming pool!

VERY ACCOMMODATING

Always enjoy my stay here. Very clean, quiet, and centrally located. Not far from mackinaw city and we probably wouldn't stay anyplace else in this area. Highly recommend and will most definitely be back

Love this place!

Made rev over phone. Gentlemen asked if we had AAA..i said No! He said well I will give you AAA price $100 @ night anyway! Got to hotel...lady at desk said there was no note about that price. Little upset that she wouldn't honor this!
Room want bad..older hotel. Looks taken care of. Room was clean, nice bedding. Bed needs to be replaced! Really soft, could feel it pushing in the center with the weight of myself & hubby.
Hotel was quiet.
Overall it was a nice stay. Would recommend them.

Weekend get away!

The Inn does need updating, which is going to happen, but this was the cleanest place I have been in years!  The staff was super friendly!  Would visit again if in the area.  Was able to walk to all the downtown shops.

One night stay!

If I was good at story telling, I could write a good one here.  The room we were given had a kitchen bathroom and living room.  Two TVs and one sitting on the kitchen table.  Funny thing, either of the two TVs that we’re wired in worked.  No living room furniture, it was just a big empty room.  If it wasn’t so late at night and I wasn’t so far from home....I would have never stayed here.  No chance I’ll be back.

Last minute stay and last time we’ll stay

Warm greetings at check in welcomed us to town. Comfortable bed and bath. 24 hour coffee at front desk is nice. Quiet location but close to good restaurants, shops, and lake/river scenery. Would stay at again.

In Town with Value

Got a deal here.  Was planning on spending four nights so I asked if they have a bigger room.  The man showed me two rooms.  Gave me a very good price on a big accomodation.  We had a livingroom and bedroom and bath and kitchen.  It was a nice accomodation.  A little noisy sometimes at night due to the street next to it but it seemed to calm down after ten oclock.

There is a lighthouse that is open on the weekends (during warm season).  They still had their pool open but it was too cold to swim when we were there.

We walked down to the beach from the hotel.

The breakfast was just donuts but it you want something else quick, there is a gas station across the street.

This hotel is on the far end of the little downtown.  We walked to Mulligans for dinner a couple times.

I would go back here if I could get the same accomodation.

Got a deal

Thankful for this motel and a clean place to sleep for the night.  The wall a/c was very loud and it was cooler outside than inside.  The shower was hot though and water pressure excellent.  Pillows good.  No coffee pot, but coffee in the lobby.  There was a mini frig in room.   Cable didn’t work when we got there so had to wait for owner to come back and figure out the issue.   Ok for a short stay.
