I stopped here for one night to sleep and shower on a long road trip from FL to PA.  I always base my lodging reviews on the purpose it was booked for, and this was fine.  Despite the few things I will note, I will probably stay here again if I am only looking for a place to sleep and don't care about a pool. It was very easy access off I-95 and back on again.  There is a 7-11 next door where we got some bfast items and gas before we left in the morning.  

The lobby was closed when we arrived (around 11:30pm), but there is a night window outside.  The lady working was very nice, and she even double checked that the room we were pre-assigned was not occupied.  I had called earlier in the day and requested a ground floor room since there is no elevator.  There was a sign on the window that said reservations are needed (no walk-ins).  I noticed the chest of drawers was quite large, so I opened one.  The smoke detector was in there.  I looked up, and saw the wire hanging from the ceiling (see pictures).  That made me a little nervous, but it was midnight and we would be leaving around 8am.  Upon an actual inspection of the bathroom, I noticed a white knob in the corner of the floor by the tub.  Turns out it was the bolt cover for the toilet.  I moved it, and there was hair underneath it, so it wasn't properly cleaned.  There was more hair on the floor by the toilet (see pictures).  The rest of the room seemed clean, and my socks were NOT black in the morning, so obviously the floors had been cleaned.  Seems like the staff took a shortcut in the bathroom; albeit the tub was clean as well.  The shower had good pressure.  I always bring my own amenities, so I cannot comment on if there was even shampoo provided.
I had put some water bottles in the "freezer" to get cold for the next day and they were frozen!  They were only in there for about 6 hours!  Mini fridge works well!  The beds seemed comfy and the a/c worked well (which is scarce for motels), but the pillows leave a lot to be desired.  I'm glad I had brought my own.  I slept well.

The room served the purpose I was looking for, and for the price, I expected much less.  I will stay again.

One night stopover on road trip; easy on/off I-95; cold mini fridge; felt safe

While not the best motel we’ve stayed in, it’s not the worst either. The rooms were quite large, spacious and quite clean. The beds were alright, though we did find the pillows to be thin. Also you could hear the passing vehicles on the near-by interstate, though it wasn’t a problem for us (might be for someone who is super sensitive to sound); point is the walls are thin. While some of the people in the area are a bit sketchy, that’s just all of the Richmond area; truth is we didn’t feel unsafe in anyway here. A reasonably priced option if you are passing through the area.

Decent Rooms for a Short Stay

The bedding and interior were clean as a whistle and dont let the drama queens make you think because they are animal lovers and allow pets that it effects the cleanliness...I am grateful I found this hotel in a coupon book last night and slept comfortable..I wish I had more time there..and will def come back 

Clean and friendly

Our first time staying here. We usually stay at the Fairfield but they were sold out. They have made nice improvements with their remodel. I love that its laminated flooring which is way better than carpet.  Beds were decent.  I had two huge complaints though. 1. I didnt realize until after I paid that they allow dogs so now my sinuses are very messed up. There was dog hair all over the stairs. 2. There is no elevator and I have difficulty with stairs. 3. Our bathroom was dirty. There was urine and hair on the front of the toilet-GROSS! Also, they only provide two towels.

Could be better.

This is a typical motel set-up, with your room door opening directly to outside. The room was typical--2 beds, desk, TV, tiny bathroom with toilet and shower, sink outside bathroom. A convenience store was right next door.

Clean room

I drive a truck, I was almost out of time on my Log. I normally avoid Knights Inns, but I'm happy I stopped at this one. So far I've stayed there twice. No - It's not fancy, but however, it was extremely clean - more so than higher end Motels. You pull back the covers, and the sheets are bright white. The beds are comfortable. A particular note: The Bathrooms are cleaner than most I stay in - No dirt - No mold in the grout, it seems they take the extra effort on the bathrooms, that others don't. I met and spoke to the owner, and his Father - They seemed to be good people - This makes a difference to me as well.

Quite a pleasant surpirise

Recent paint & minor repairs aren't enough to make this acceptable.  Guess this is an example of getting what you pay for. Doors and locks in disrepair. Thin towels. But the worst was the noise from water pipes. Seemed like anyone in the hotel taking a shower unleashed a thunderous noise thru the pipes. Hard to sleep.
   Air worked ok and everything seemed clean enough so they are trying. OK if I was by myself, but with my wife & granddaughter I think I'll go elsewhere next time.
