Rooms are nice check in good but advertised complimentary breakfast everyday which no breakfast at all is provided.  This was one of the reasons I choose this hotel but NO BREAKFAST IS PROVIDED!!  You may want to consider this.

Disgusting! Do not believe the good reviews! This place scared my little girl for life! Cigarette burns in the bed clothes! Phone dirty! WAITED 30 min at the desk the next morning to tell them of a security incident and no one came to talk to me. Never again.

Just nasty! Rude owner! Never offered a fix to the problem. And with covid 19 they have Styrofoam cups just sitting on top off coffee maker not wrapped!!!

Yuck

Apparently visitors aren't allowed while staying here, as on 2 separate times during my visit, my guests were interegated by housekeeping. And when I asked for clean linens, I was given the 3rd degree by housekeeping over why they were needed. The housekeeper even tried to force his way into the room claiming my pet had messed up the sheets and they were going to charge an extra $100 on top of the already paid pet deposit. I said my pet goes outside and not inside. And clean linens should be available as needed.
Never again and when I find info for the corporate office I will be writing.

Tell your friends not to visit you while you stay

Great price, friendly staff, clean rooms. Stayed here several times and I highly recommend. 

Free continental breakfast every morning, great location, only 30 mins or so from both Birmingham and Sylacauga.

Great place to stay in Childersburg

This is a good place to stay if you just need to sleep and shower. Not fancy, and although it is clean, it could use updating. The carpet is well- worn, but considering the hotel is largely used for construction workers from out- of- town, it isn't the worst it could be. It is located right on a main highway, but the noise only became a problem on Friday night. The walls are thin, so you will hear your neighbors if they speak above normal levels. Daily maid service was provided; and they did a nice job. 
We would stay here again for a night or two, but wouldn't stay here for an extended stay.

Does the job.

I took my family on an extended vacation and we stayed at the Keywest Inn on 280 in Childersburg,Al. We all agree that we had a great experience and would definitely choose to stay there again in the future. It was overall a great trip!

Family trip

My husband and I stayed at Keywest Inn for 3 months while waiting on our home to be renovated...there wasnt a day that went by that the manager wasnt on the property working hard to make sure that everything around the hotel was up to par. He made sure that we had everything that we needed each and everyday no matter what. The staff was always on site and working hard to keep the place nice and clean and making the guests feel welcome. During our stay there they were replacing the vanitys and painting all the rooms. They were planning several new improvements so I look forward to going back to stay there.  We would definitely stay there again and would recommend this hotel to our friends and  family as well.

Our stay

This motel is a good deal for the area, and the main staff member who is there running it (Herry) does a great job of taking care of guests. I stayed at this motel for an entire month when I was working in the area, and during that time, they upgraded all of the bathroom counters/vanities throughout the entire motel. I had to work some late nights with an unusual sleeping schedule, so Herry made sure that no rooms were being updated next to my room during the time I was sleeping so it wouldn't disturb me. He was very thoughtful and accommodating throughout my stay. 

I was staying in a room that had new hardwood floors. I know that the motel plans to redo the floors in every room, so at the time that you read this review, they have already completed all upgrades. 

The motel is very quiet during the week. It has a tendency to get busier doing the weekends and a little louder at that time. The washer/drier in the laundry room (coin-operated) was always available when I needed to use it. My bed was comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower is strong. 

If I ever needed anything or had a concern, I talked to Herry at the front desk and he took care of it for me. He and his wife - who is also on the staff - are caring people. While this motel is not fancy by any means, it's nice to stay at a place where you feel like the people running it want to make sure your stay is a good one.

Thoughtful Staff

The owner is very active on site. He keeps the place clean and greets everyone with a smile each morning or night. Good place to stay on a low budget. Looks much nicer than all the other options around. Rooms are big and beds where comfortable. I would stay again if i worked in the area some more. Thanks to the staff!
