The owner and his wife were sooo very friendly and accommodating.! They told us to let them know if we needed anything. We asked for extra towels which was not a problem.  We enjoyed the Clearwater area and the pricing of this Inn that we decided to extend our stay an additional 6 nights.  We went to Sarasota for 2 nights and it was very convenient to leave our luggage/things in the room for when we returned.  It’s not a fancy place but that wasn’t important to us.  We loved that it was safe, quiet and very clean.  The bed was very comfortable and everything worked as it should. We walked to a few places and found it very easy to drive everywhere.  Will definitely be staying here again!

Wonderful owners and very clean/comfortable accommodations.

Very clean, desk clerk friendly and helpful, room large, old Florida style motel…dated but comfortable.  Swimming pool available.  Near busy highway and near a few places to eat.  Would stay again.  Room we had was like an efficiency unit complete with shove, fridge, microwave, dishes, etc.  free wi-fi and parking.

A taste of Old Florida

Our plans had a hiccup & we had a night with no reservation. called here & they were very helpful in getting us in a room. 
Great Old Florida Hotel, rooms were spacious & very clean, bed was comfortable.
we did not use the pool but the pool area looked very nice.

Great place!!

I was so glad to find this place. Everything was nice and clean and also the price was great also. I stayed for a couple of days and had to leave but turned around again and stayed for a couple of weeks. The owners were great and always made me feel at home here. I would come back anytime.

A Great Place!

The most comfortable motel I have ever stayed in. 
Chester and Mary are the nicest people you will meet that run the Motel. It’s very quite and quaint, would suggest this location all day long. Perfect

Very Nice Place!!

My friend and me checked in after a too long and slow drive on the hunt for a hotel on the coast side. Not to exaggerate, but we were disappointed that the americans had put the spring break weekend on the same weekend we were here; all the coast hotels were full or extremely pricy. So by a slight mistake we ended up here.
But what a surprice. Car parked outside the entry door, big room, clean and very nice. Bunkered up with 1664`s and Fosters, we sat down on the outdoor stools and agreed that life was good after all.
Pool area was not tried by us but looked clean and nice. No breakfast tried and don`t think it was an option either, since we ended up on the bar on the opposite side. 
Shower and bathroom tested and no issues; very nice. 
We felt like being regulars by the very welcoming pair that ran the show!
Thx and we will be stopping by again.

Surpicingly Good and welcomed by very nice staff!

We had a GREAT stay at the Floridian!  The location is ideal - a 10-minute drive to the beach and lots of restaurants nearby.  As all other reviews indicate, the owners, Mary and Chester, are wonderful, hard-working people who take a lot of pride in their business.  They were helpful and did everything they could to make our stay great.  There weren't a lot of kids during our stay so the pool was very quiet.  But my kids (aged 12 and 13) didn't seem to mind and loved it here.  Although the furniture is dated, everything is very clean.  Our refrigerator looked like it was brand new!  Thank you Mary and Chester for a wonderful stay in Clearwater.  We will return- hopefully sooner than later!

Loved this motel!

Mary and Chester the owners are a wonderful couple. They run this wonderful motel in Clearwater. We arrived as a consequence of being evacuated prior to Hurricane Irma from other accommodation and they made sure we were well looked after. The room was big, bright and had all the basics we needed. 

It was a pleasure staying in this small, personal motel. We rode out the hurricane safely and left after 4 nights to come tinge our planned itinerary BUT we will return and book to stay in this delightful motel. 

Mary and Chester provide a barbecue grill to compliment your kitchen. They also have a small garden , clean pool and tiki bar to relax under.

We felt safe and comfortable the whole time.

Would highly recommend if you don't want newer (expensive) accommodations, yet want a clean and comfortable room near to the gulf beaches and Tampa Bay Area.



Fabulous independent motel

Room was very spacious with great kitchenette.  My room was cleaned daily during my 4 night stay.  Very affordable. Owners were very friendly.  Pool was very nice also.  They only thing negative is that it is on a very high traffic road and isnt very soundproof. 

Great place to stay!!!!

I have stayed at the Floridian several times during past two years while attending seminars locally.  Mary and Chester are the BEST caretakers.  They are extremely helpful offering rides or assistance with anything you might need.  They are constantly updating this older, yet quaint hotel.  They make the experience delightful!  The rooms have everything you need...fridge, stove to cook, microwave.  The pool is very clean and there is a nice walking trail very close. They even have an out door grill.  Great for long stays. The neighborhood is a touch rough, but feel very safe with Mary and Chester watching over us. It is convenient from the airport and close to downtown Clearwater.  There are several good restaurants nearby.  It is on a major through fare, so expect some street noise.  
Been down to Clearwater 9 times....never a bad stay at the Floridian.
