This seemed to catch them by surprise- out of monkey bread , which was the specialty, with no other bread offered.  They forgot the bacon, they forgot the fruit- the omelet was good, but I felt like I showed up and was an inconvenience to the staff.

Sunday brunch- yes, it’s brunch, yes, it’s Sunday

The Inn review first:
We stayed here in May for my nephew's graduation.  This is a great location for access to the CWU campus and all of the museums in the nearby University Circle area.

The inn is small with a great restaurant (see review below).  We were in the Chianti room on the third floor which was spacious despite being in the tower.  The AC was very good which was essential given it was in the 80s.  The only downsides were carrying up luggage to the third floor, no elevator. 

We did not take advantage of the weekend brunch but we did have the continental breakfast on Monday which was nothing great.

Overall a great stay with super friendly staff.

Now for the restaurant:
We also had dinner after the graduation ceremony.  

The house itself is very beautiful. We were in one of the smaller side rooms which was a bit loud due to a larger group (once they left it was much better). 

Our server was fantastic and very professional.  I ordered the trout and it was excellent - a great preparation.  Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals.   I also tried a bread pudding for dessert that was delightful.

Two Reviews in One - Both Great Experiences

We really loved our stay while visiting the CC. The room was very comfortable, really nice and well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and delivered to our room. We ate at the bar and enjoyed their small plate special in the evening. The location is homey, quiet and relaxing. Little Italy was just down the street and easily walkable. CC was a 30 min walk if you didn’t want to deal with the traffic. Overall a perfect place for our needs and plan to stay here on future trips. 

Great location and spacious rooms

Enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant. Was looking for a sit down dinner close to our hotel, for our family of four and a friend and wanted to skip the fast casual places. Not inexpensive, but food was good quality and service was perfect. Good for a casual meal or a special occasion. Did not stay at Inn.

I recently stayed overnight at the Inn while visiting my child at CWRU. I was in Tuscany, which is a nice sized room. Extremely comfortable king size bed. Two sitting chairs, a large flat screen TV, beautiful tiled shower. The shower had fantastic water pressure!  
I did experience white noise and odors due to the kitchen exhaust fans being outside the windows. When I return I'm going to stay on the top floor. 
We had dinner and drinks at the bar for burger night. Alex was very helpful assisting with my food allergies. The burger and cauliflower were excellent. My children had flatbread with tomato bisque, lemon perogies. All were delicious. I used my Bistro Bucks which were provided from the inn since it was a weekend stay. 
Brunch the next morning was out of this world! I highly recommend the steak & eggs. Monkey bread arrived at the table dripping in gooey delicious Carmel sauce. 
Grateful for the parking lot. Parking in Little Italy is touch, so the lot is a great perk. The price is a bit steep but worth the splurge.  Looking forward to my next stay.

Beautiful & Quiet Inn

We had an amazing Sunday brunch here! We had reservations for 12:30pm on a Sunday and were sat right away in the back in the glass atrium section with a view of the courtyard. The hostess was very friendly. We had their specialty cocktail, a mango mimosa and a bloody mary, both were excellent! We ordered the lobster omelette, the pancakes, and the crab eggs benedict...all of them were beyond good! We also shared a side of the cheesy grits that were also excellent. I would def. recommend this charming place for brunch. Make sure to make reservations, it got crowded while we were there.

Sunday Brunch at its Best!👌🏻

This is a beautifully restored old home that was converted to an inn, so if you enjoy hard wood floors, cozy small dining spaces, and fireplaces as opposed to concrete and steel "warehouse chic"  Washington Place checks all the boxes. Our family stopped in for brunch over Thanksgiving weekend and had a leisurely casual-elegant experience. The usually bustling CWRU campus was quiet (students all off home for the holiday), which made parking a breeze - but it looked as though a valet option was available during more crowded times.

The menu has lots of interesting, fresh (locally sourced) entrees and you are presented with complementary sweet and gooey "monkey bread" to nibble while you consider your dining choices.YUM !! We sampled light fluffy lemon mascarpone pancakes with blueberries, the eggs Benedict, and a lobster omelette. All were delicious and sides of sausage and crispy garlic potatoes were perfect. 

The coffee (and decaf) were good and there was a nice list of cocktails and wines by the glass. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but professionally unobtrusive. We had a lovely time, with wine and tip for about $100, which was well worth it!
