The hosts Jane and Richard are warm and hospitable. They keep the premises in beautiful condition and the rooms are immaculate. Richard offers a comprehensive planning arrangement for your visit to Yosemite, and they offer printed material on where to get food and supplies. They are tireless helpful and kind, treating every visitor as their only one. If you meet other visitors at the inn, you'll find they are also like-minded and warm. Its really a home away from home.

Unrelated: As their website suggests, its optimal to stay three nights to get two full days to do all the activities in Yosemite. The inn is equidistant between Mariposa and Oakhurst, so you can try out restaurants at either town (both of which have old western charm to them). Leave as early in the morning as you can (even 7am or earlier if possible) to beat the crowds – Jane and Richard will arrange breakfast to-go as needed. If you are a city slicker, walk outside the inn before sunrise to experience the star-filled sky.

Kind and generous hosts make this not only a a perfect launching pad, but also a memory in itself.

Jane and Richard are excellent hosts in this delightful B&B near Mariposa. We stayed here for two nights and the downstairs room we had was spacious with a well appointed luxurious wet room shower area with quality shampoos etc. 

Superb extensive breakfast. Well worth the trip advisor accolades.

Excellent hospitable Bed and Breakfast near Yosemite

Booked this b&b last minute for our half dome hike.  The house is located deep in the woods in Mariposa, a hour and half from Yosemite Village.  Our room is clean and well decorated with style.  Jane and Richard are great hosts.  For our summit day, two brown bags of breakfast were for us in the fridge.  Sunday breakfast was served hot with eggs and sausages.  Jane is quiet, sweet and caring, while Richard is very informative and warm, giving us a few great advices that helped us tremendously.  We were obsessed with the hummingbirds, deer families, turkeys, smell of pine trees and starry night. Looking forward to going back to this lovely house.  

A lovely stay in the woods

We had a lovely couple of days here.  You are made to feel very welcome and the hosts are more than happy to share their local (and beyond) knowledge with you to help your trip along.  Shame we had such bad weather in Yosemite but at least we had a lovely place to come back to!  Watching the hummingbirds was a joy.  On recommedation we ate at Church Street one night - it was a fabulous meal and worth the trip to Mariposa (about 20 minutes away).

Wonderful friendly place to stay

A fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts who had a wealth of information to share on Yosemite. Comfortable rooms all individually decorated for that extra charm. Fireplace in the lounge area for post hiking relaxing too! Added so much to our trip we highly recommend!

Wonderful experience 

As we were registering, our hosts made us welcome with offers of drink and snacks. We had not had dinner, so they gave us a list of resturants in Mariposa from which to choose. (I will interject here that ST is 10 miles from Mariposa.) No worries. We chose Savoury's. Excellent. The B&B was built and decorated by our hosts in a comfortable California style. Breakfast included coffee, juice, fruits, breads, jams. Had we eaten at the later time we would had enjoyed a heartier breakfast. We stayed two nights while seeing Mariposa Grove and Yosemite. Our hosts were very helpful with best choices to see in Yosemite.

Sierra Trails B&B

We'll never forget our stay here. The location is beautiful, seems isolated but it's just an hour's drive from the gate to Yosemite. Our room had everything we could ask for - and then some. You can tell the owners know their stuff go the extra mile when it comes to tiny details - plus, they're decent, friendly, sweet people.
