Cheapest Hotel in town with the experience of a Motel. You walk into a cloud of floral bouquet smell everywhere you go in the attempt to seem clean; however, if you look around for a minute you soon realize the reality. Thick dust, grime and hair found in corners. The elevator was smelly and scary. The environment and location were sketchy to say the least. The only good part was the front desk person - he might have been the manager not sure but he was very nice and helpful. All in all, spend the extra 20 and stay somewhere else.

Worst stay in Coldwater, MI.

Easy on/off Interstate location.  Lots of fast food close by.  Well maintained establishment.  Room was very clean, bathroom was a nice size.  Good hot water. All linens were clean and serviceable.  Definitely recommend it.

Nice Motel

On the 21st of March 2020,we were returning home to Canada and based on the fact we were headed back with little notice we called and asked if they had room for us and another couple who were travelling within our mini convoy. They happily accommodated us. 

Because we had stayed here before we asked and received the room we had stayed in and our friends got the  room next door. The staff gave us all a great rate and both rooms were extremely clean and well kept. There was no breakfast becaused of the covid 19 pandemic.

I would recommend this place highly.

Once again this place deserves a great rating.

Stayed here for the second time while visited my son at Hillsdale. It's about a half hour from the college, but it's a lovely drive and there's so much to do on the way! I had a 2 double bed room this time, and only paid about $70 a night, which was a bargain compared to staying at the Dow Center in Hills or the Inn at Grayfield, where we paid twice that a night. The room wasn't perfect (paint scuffs off the wall - cosmetic), but it had a little fridge with freezer, so I was able to store the food I brought my son, and the leftovers from going out to eat. That wasn't the case at one of the more expensive places I'd stayed before, and I miss it when I don't have that luxury! The place was clean, beds comfy and not 14 feet off the ground, so I didn't have to jump into it. The room also had a tub, which I consider a luxury these days when so many places just have showers. The TV worked perfectly, and the schedule of channels was in the nightstand, so I was able to watch "Ancient Aliens" on channel 269 without having to surf up 200 channels! We had great Wifi, and both of us were able to game/work without sluggish internet. The place was full the night we were there, and the parking lot is small, so after a concert we had to park at the dark end of the lot, but it still seemed pretty safe. I can't say enough about the staff - the desk clerk when we checked in was so friendly, and the cleaning woman who let me into a locked bathroom in the lobby when I ran back in for a second before hitting the highway was also very helpful. We didn't have breakfast there, but I did see families enjoying the spread. The only thing I wish they would fix is the elevator, which lurches and groans and makes me think it's gonna give up the ghost one day. But I would definitely recommend this place...

What a bargain! Clean rooms, friendly staff, with good mattresses and pillows...

Not exactly dirty, but not spotless either. Only 2 bath towels between 3 people. Tatty furniture. Daughter walked over to Walmart and bought cleaning products and bed linen as her room was manky.Very noisy water system.

Disappointing

The rooms here are very clean.  The beds are comfortable and smell fresh.  The staff here are very helpful and always willing to help.  It’s a great motel and a great price. I would highly recommend it to anyone

I have stayed with red roof inn several times and every time I have the best experience... the staff is always very happy n polite.. even at 2 am... the house keeping staff also do an amazing job.. my room always smells just so clean when I get there

Awesome

On the glass half full, I have stayed here four times in the past, including Feb 2019.
The desk clerk took my reservation over the phone, told her I'd be a late check in.
Gave me the choice of 1st or 3rd floor. I stay away from ground floors due to vehicle noise, this time that did not matter.
 Upon checkin to the room, noticed a smell of vomit, found it, uncleaned, against the wall next to the bed. Called front desk, helped me move to another room.
 The door across from me in 302 was opened and closed at least fifty times during the night, I called the front desk and complained. Said she would come up and listen. Kept happening, all night long.
Checking out I complained, the clerk was a young man with a filthy Red Roof Inn shirt on that told me to contact owner Jignish. Tried multiple times, he was either sleeping or not in, was told call after 3pm, no return calls, never able to find him at the business.
The last few times I stayed here the rooms were rehabbed and spotless. Not this time. Elevator and room was filthy. Bathroom fixtures were dated and pulled out of wall. No shower mat to prevent slipping. I would not suggest this property.

Poor Stay and service

Evening desk clerk was VERY accommodating, asked us to become Redi Members, gave us 2 bottles of water. Motel was CLEAN, bed comfortable, nice temperature controlled air/heat, room comfortable upon entry— not a hot house or a freezer!; light comforter on bed with updated covers, and room furnishings. Continental breakfast included hard-boiled eggs!!!! Excellent! Spent the night before in a Comfort Inn paid twice as much, received an attitude from the desk clerk and room wasn't as nice as this Red Roof. We will be returning to Red Roof in the future.

Quite nice

I have stayed here before and plan to stay here again due to the fact that the rooms have flooring that resembles laminate and could be nice linoleum. In any event, my standard room had 2 beds , fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer, and a nice tv with loads and loads of channels.  This location is near numerous places to eat and or shop and the service was friendly. Breakfast did not seem to have much but I did grab some coffee and muffins and did see that you could make your own waffles. I recommend this Hotel because it was and has been clean each & every time that I have stayed here.
