Room smelled like a stale cigarette, dirty wash rags hanging in the shower, food in the sheets. Simply disgusting! Cable box was unplugged, took a half hour to even load. Floors don’t even look like they have been cleaned in days. Definitely not a place for children!

holy crap....who would ever say this was good for the price?? i would rather sleep outside. filthy blankets, non smoking was like a cigar parlor with the smoke arlarm covered with a plastic bag. of course no one notice when the DIDNT CLEAN THE ROOM. i had funds in bank waiting to clear so i had NO choice. MONEY IN, TAKING UBER  first thing in morning.. NO WIFI IN FAR ROOMS AND REFUSED TO ADMIT THERE WAS A PROBLEM!!!! UUUUGGGGFHHH. TOOK PICS TO SEND THE FRANCHISE CORP. have lots of pics but my phone wont transfer. i will get my kids to help with that when i complain to corp.

ONE OF THE WORST

We were able to enjoy a free night with 8,000 points which is very satisfying. There was a back and forth of people with patio mines in the parking lot but we were not bothered by them at all. The receptionist was very nice. The breakfast was nice while being modest. The wifi was A-1 all over the hotel. We slept very well. The room could have been a little cleaner. Not many restaurants around a walking distance. The morning receptionist was very friendly. We are all satisfied and would return to it without hesitation in the future. We offer you pictures. We recommend this hotel at an affordable rate.

We slept there the night of May 28-29, 2023 in room 105.

the room looks ok, but there is some broken sockets, the fridge didn't have freezer compartment, and it is continuously leaking water out. 
The breakfast time is  6-9 am, but only plain cheerio and bagel,  worse than normal basic continental  breakfast.

ok to stay for one night

I can't even put this review on the Econo Lodge Website because we hadn't made a prior reservation and we left so abruptly.  We were on a long trip and stopped in Albany for overnight, found the Econo Lodge and stopped in.  The man had a room, but wouldn't give us a senior discount, said only the manager could do that, and he wouldn't be there until the next morning.  But we took the room anyhow, hoping to negotiate with the manager later.  As we were unloading our things, a VERY loud siren started blaring.  Turns out there's a fire station across the street.  Okay, that's on us, and I'm not intending this as a complaint, only mentioning for informational purposes.  It was late, so we dropped things off, went to supper, then to the mall to get some exercise.  When we got back, and were getting ready for bed, my husband looked in the bathroom and saw a VERY large colony of mold over the shower head (picture included)!  Needless to say, we didn't want to stay in that room, but the man at the desk wouldn't give us another, said he was booked (although there were very few cars in the lot at 11 PM).  But he did say he wouldn't charge us for the room.  So we threw everything in the car and drove down the street to another hotel.  When we got home, we reported the conditions in our room to the New York State Department of Health.

I found this place to be clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the busy location.  My room had a coffee maker, and I was glad to be able to park right outside my door. I’m taking off a star for general shabbiness and wear. Like, the  security latch was broken, the door stuck, and there was a general need for paint/deep cleaning. 
The location wasn’t exactly Cental but there was a great kebab restaurant right across the street. I’d stay here again if I was in the area and could get the same rate.

Creepy area, not near anything, outdated everything! Broken laundry machines, cold staff... The low price per deposit and only candy machine out of like 3-4 hotels in a row. Wish there was a gas station open late night. I don't understand why the price per night goes up if u book multiple nights...

When headed to our room, we were a little concerned because the outdoor walkways were covered in old carpet and appeared dirty (daily debris). However, the room was clean (no foul smells). Our room was a decent size (king bed) with microwave and refrigerator. We liked that it was not carpeted because we feel they are a bit cleaner. The bed and pillows were comfortable for us. The toilet was a bit slow flushing. Breakfast was continental.

Nice stay for the price

Staying here in the winter is taxing for anyone with mobility issues. The toilet is too low - seat is at 15-1/2" - 16" from the floor, which is the absolute minimum for anyone. And, if there's any precipitation, e.g., snow, ice, sleet, and it melts then freezes, the parking lot is solid ice. I arrived after an ice storm. Procured my room key from the clerk, then drove to a parking space in front of my room. Couldn't get from my car into the room - it was a sheet of ice. Called the FD - he sent out a very old, frail man to assist me. Well, together, we moved the car to a parking space with less ice around it and eventually got my basic luggage into the hotel. The next morning I couldn't avail myself of the complimentary breakfast because it's served in the same area as the check-in, at the front of the motel. And the parking lot was still a sheet of ice. I couldn't risk slipping and falling. If you don't enjoy walking/sliding/ loading/ unloading your vehicle on ice in the winter, don't stay here until spring or summer or fall.

Hotel is disgusting! Was woken up at 2 am! I was being attacked by bed bugs! Management offered no refund and only said we could have a different room! I checked out at 2 am and had to book a different hotel! Do not go here!
