I had recently rented a room at the troy motel, and much to my surprise there was dependable wifi in my room and , I was in the far end! my mind was already out at ease as this was the first time the room smelled and looked clean. this place is on the up and up! the outside looks run down still, however don’t let the looks fool you!

The location is ideal for the local attractions if there were any , thanks to Covid 19, however is still a draw for hunting season. I personally do not hunt, but needed to get away, I've stayed at the motel a handful of times, and upon arriving this time, the building looks the same....BUT I was shocked to discover that there was Wi-Fi in my room! It seems that every room now is enriched with that fine wifistuff; its about time! I would also like to mention that the room was clean, and smelled good, (shock!). The sheets and some blanket (blue) seems to have been replaced with new as well. Sure  the place needs work, but much much improved! I'm curious to see what is different the next time I stay at the motel!

The Troy Motel....

Well this place is starting to come along. Being a repeat stayer. I've noticed the motel is getting better. It has free hi speed internet now instead of just saying it. The sheets are new. I got to give that manager lisa credit. She is doing a great job. Keep it up.

Great improvement

Let me start off by saying this was the only motel near by and we had already paid when booked over the phone. They over booked and tried to get us to leave. Service at the front desk was laughable on our first visit up there. They gave us keys for our room and when we went to check it out, there were people in the room. So we were told to come back in 1.5 hours and our rooms would be ready. It is now 5 pm... We came back at 8, 3 HOURS LATER, and only one room was ready. The lady at the desk this time was different and she was very nice but still only had one room ready. We finally got checked into the second room at about 9 pm. There was a lot of tension with the first lady that was in the second room helping clean it at 9 pm and she was very upset that we were standing there waiting on her to finish and was extremely hateful and rude. She used racial slurs against the owner and said he wouldn't care if we complained to him because they have no other motel in the area. 

The rooms did smell like disinfectant but your nose gets used to it pretty quick and the sheets were clean. No bedbugs in the room I stayed in. I am going up again this week so hopefully it will be a better experience, will update after this stay!

Sheets were clean, Check in was a horrible nightmare!

we stay here wifi didnt work 90 percent of the time never saw a  housekeeper  had hunt down someone get clean towels they say they have a breakfest not true they have cereal in the lobby god only knows how long it been there no milk or anything no coffee their heating and ac pretty sure its a fire waiting to happen

Had booked room via booking.com and when I arrived after an all day craft show was advised that my booking was gone as well as 5 others from booking.com. However there were Gas line workers staying in hotel and each of those were given their own room.  What had happened is the manager of the motel gave our rooms to the Gas line men because they have no limit on what they will pay for rooms. So greed trumped customer service on this one. The manager stated it was a mistake from booking.com. however when she was asked by them she told them that she gave me alternate arrangements. ABSOLUTE LIE!!!!!!!!! We even went out to parking lot and the website stated there were 5 rooms available( how conveinent when 5 booking.com reservations were screwed up) when asked about this the manager denied it.  FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY.  Very dishonest and greedy owners.

NO ROOM AT THE INN

Was utterly shocked when I entered the office, the hotel Manager was not profesional in ANY sense of the word, negotiated a deal because I would be staying for a while. Was supposed to be put in one the "nicer" rooms... it as old and very dated, no flat screen tv, the room had a musty smell, the bathroom was filthy, I had to bug bomb the room because there were spiders ad lord knows whatever else.  the trash was ALWAYS full, had to ask for trash bags and sheets. I left the room and some things that I could no longer carry with me. I received a call from the manger and she asked me  iwhat to do with the things that I had left.  I simply told her to take what she wanted and trash the rest. The owner gets on the phone and proceeds to yell at me , I repeatedly told him NOT to speak me that way but he was very persistant in his tirade and i finally told hi to let me speak to the manager. I told her to tell him not ever speak to me like that again .. she was in tears. Honestly who does that in a supposedly professional environment?  Do not stay here, drive 15 miles up the road and stay there instead.
