Nice quiet and out of the city. The rooms were clean and the owners were very friendly. Also there is some space to park a semi or box truck. Its a great spot to stay and avoid hartford traffic. Also the prices are great

Quiet and clean

the room stunk. walls were filthy and  bathroom sink wouldn't drain. the microwave was the grossest i have seen.  my family stepped up and had me stay with them. you could not offer me a free night in this place!


room was unfit

So, my husband booked this place for three separate weeks (I'm a travel nurse) before we read the reviews. SMH 
I'll be honest, we weren't expecting The Marriot...but we also weren't expecting to room with what appears to be at least one public hair from every guest that's ever stayed here...and a spider. I can overlook the live beetle we found in the bed...
But have some pride in your establishment and tell whoever is cleaning these rooms to get in between the sink and bathtub...this is disgusting and yall should be embarrassed. 
Otherwise the grounds are nice, a/c worked, towels looked clean.

If it wasn't fir the bathroom...

This is an interesting place.  It is located by itself just off the highway.  It is well signed. It is in the woods .  It is a Budget hotel. It was very clean.  It had a quick check in.  It was busy with many out of state travellers. It had a very good tv and tv package.  There is nothing but woods around it but it does have pizza delivery from a location about 10 miles away that has an excellent reputation.  Basically convienient, clen and cost effective.  It will become my go to stop on my way home.

Perect for my needs

The quality of the environment here is remarkable! From the landscapes, to the service, accommodations, and even guests, every detail of these surroundings and comforts has brought me a sense of immense peace, and for that, I must give thanks and blessings in the highest for maintaining such a wonderful place.

The hard-working staff and owners heavily maintain, renovate and continue to improve the establishment with new lighting, signage, landscaping, and much more! Recently, the driveway area has been re-sealed, and there is a darling garden right in the middle of a main grassland common area!

The guests that stay are all generally friendly and courteous!

The owners are welcoming, and some even recommended good sightseeing areas and hiking trails very close by!

Stay here as you would Stay your own abode! Showers, TV, and Wifi put you in control of your own lifestyle! There are a few trails on the premises, so be sure to carry some insect repellant before venturing into the woods. 

If I said any more, I would have to write a book, but seriously, relax and enjoy your stay at the Ashford Motel!

Functionally Humble!

Welcome to the flea bag motel of America! Enjoy the view of stains on your walls and ceilings! At the same time enjoy your little neighbors we like to call bugs and fleas. They are more than happy to share the ciggerette burned mattresses with you as long as you allow them to. After a crappy sleep while being bit all night long, wake up to the stench of your ac and heating unit fumigating your room with raunchiness. And thank god for the “ friendly” staff that can give 2 craps about your issues because honestly they’re just completely use to the filth from sitting in it all day long every day of their lives. They DO NOT CARE . So run run run. Run as far away as your legs can handle. Drive an extra 10 miles and Spend the same amount at a motel 6 or spend another 20-30 bucks and stay at a hotel. I’m surprised this place hasn’t been closed down. I’ll def be calling the Heath department after I write this.

RUN! RUN FARRRR AWAY!!!

We were on vacation for a week visiting our family and friends and stayed for three nights. The hotel has improved from the last visit of 7 years ago but still needs work. The owners are very friendly. The price is good and the location is good. Right off I-84 so easy on/off.  I would stay again. The only thing is they need to clean the rooms better.

The average place

Needed a room for the night and every Hotel/Motel/Inn was pretty booked or way too pricey. 
Found this hidden Motel and it was quite late, my daughter and I were hungry and tired. So we decided to book a room.
Checking in was quick and the front desk clerk was nice. Recommended a delivery restaurant and gave us the menu. Food was weird tasting and disgusting.
Lots of parking was the only plus. Front door filthy, ceiling needs repairs (cracks), toilet seat broken, pipes sticking out from wall and paint peeling from walls. Comforter on beds rough to the touch, pillows okay, t.v. reception fuzzy, curtains ripped. No comforts or relaxation in this Motel. Wasn't expensive but not cheap either. I will never recommend this Motel.

Lower class Motel!

I stay frequently at this motel. Room rate always stays the same. Very quiet and no one bothers you. Easy on and off from I-84 so it is very convenient for people traveling. I would stay here again and again.

Clean, Quiet, affordable

Dirty, there was a plastic cup and bottle caps under the bed, cigarette burn holes in the sheets, the walls were absolutely disgusting. The remote for the TV didn't work, there was supposed to be an adjustable bed, but it didn't work either. The bathroom drain barely drained and the refrigerator did not keep our water very cold. The heat smelled terribly. I would have preferred to sleep in my truck, I think. They claim to have internet, but neither one of us could connect at all.
