Winvian was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the Beaver Lodge December 2023.  The cabin is amazing with all of the amenities you need! Service by the staff is fantastic, and the spa was amazing! The food? The food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten! The chef at Winvian is absolutely top notch! Dinner is an experience and did not disappoint! I can definitely see why Winvian was rated #1! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

It was rated #1 for good reason!

This was our first visit o Winvian Farm, and we are so glad we went!  We stayed in the "Camping" cottage, which was beautiful, private and cozy.  We had a couples massage at the spa which was delightful and dinner at the Farm which was so delicious.  The service and attention to detail is what makes this place so special.  The accommodations are unique and luxurious, and we will plan to return again for sure!  Thank you to the delightful staff and chef - it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a true get away in the heart of the Litchfield Hills.

Wonderful Experience!

My husband and I booked a 4 night stay to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was the best thing we did in 2023. 
It's important to note here, our anniversary was in September however we lost my Mom suddenly on 9/11 and have just not had it in us to celebrate until now. 
When I tell you that Winvian is hospitality incarnate I am not exaggerating.  It started the minute we arrived and were greeted outside and guided in to the main building to wait with a glass of prosecco, and did not end until we were driving out of the gate on our way home. 
We stayed in the Stone Cottage (and walked in to a hand written card and bottle of prosecco) which was everything it looks like in the pictures and more. We were concerned with how close it was to the main building but we still felt 1000 miles away during our whole stay (and we were closer to the dining!). We had our 2 pups and they made sure we had 2 dog beds and an abundance of bowls for their needs. 
The food was some of the best I have ever had. Thoughtful, inventive, fresh and never rushed. We were at dinner the first night for 2 hours and it felt like 15 minutes. 
The Autumn Gimlet changed my mind about gimlets entirely (although I am sure anywhere else will now disappoint). 
We also took advantage of the local horse back riding which was so much fun (my first time) and a seamless experience (Thank You to Lou, our walking guide). 
My sister and her family came to visit and have lunch and they immediately went home and booked their anniversary trip for next summer.
And the service. 2023 has been an extraordinarily hard year for my family. To say that the staff at Winvian took care of us would be an understatement. Everyone was beyond kind and saw to our every request with the care. Yes, they are in hospitality. Yes, it is their job. But it was more than that. And when you have had the year we have had, it matters.  I am not able to fully express the gratitude we have to have felt so fully thought of. 
Thank you for a magical wedding anniversary trip.   We can't wait to join you again. 

Gives New Meaning to the Term "Hospitality"

We had a wonderful time at Winvian for our anniversary. The service was outstanding, the grounds were beautiful and the cottage was stunning and incredibly well appointed.  Every one of our needs and requests were addressed beyond expectations. Breakfasts and dinner was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in our cottage some morning. We will be back.

We didn’t want to leave

Grounds are incredible. Staff is very accommodating. Each cabin is very unique, we could definitely visit seventeen more times. We stayed in Maritime where the kids thoroughly enjoyed roasting their own s'mores. Would certainly stay again.

Great Rustic Getaway

Just spent our honeymoon here and couldn't be more thrilled. We were welcomed warmly from the second we arrived, and throughout our stay, by the friendly and accommodating staff. We had the "Music" cottage, which had a great sound system, jacuzzi tub, and double-fireplace. The chef was absolutely amazing: every plate was detailed, creative and outstanding. We even went horseback riding and had a private tasting from Litchfield distillery. Honestly, we couldn't believe what a gem this place is, and unlike some services that claim to be high-end, Winvian Farm understands how to deliver a 5-star experience. Thank you to all the staff! We will definitely be coming back!!!

Great romantic getaway!

The service was top rate.  Everyone was welcoming and friendly.  I loved our cottage.  The food was excellent, but dinner was exceptional - one of the best I've ever had.  

The only slight downside was the activities menu was not clear on pricing, and some activities were overpriced.

Trip well enjoyed

This was our first visit to Winvian. The cabins are beautiful and relaxing. The true can't-miss part of the experience is the cuisine. Chef Chris is amazingly talented and we enjoyed the best dinner we've ever eaten! 

World class experience

If you're into rustic luxury and enjoy being pampered, Winivan Farm is your special place. The facilities are wonderful. We stayed in the Log Cabin (one of several cabin residences on the property) and it was a perfect choice, with an oversized king bed,  a fireplace and other amenities such as a steam shower and a wet bar. Every single member of the staff was friendly and efficient. We had dinner at The Restaurant, and the food and service were superb. Winivan is not inexpensive, but life is short, and sometimes indulgences are worth it.

Perfect in every way

We stayed in the Beaver Lodge, and had a wonderful romantic stay.  The details in the Beaver Lodge are amazing, from the ceiling of the “beaver den” to the “waterfall” filling the large bathtub.  We enjoyed walking on the grounds, seeing the beautiful fall colors, and riding the cruiser bikes provided with our cottage.  All of the staff were so friendly!
