This was our first experience with a B&B. My husband and I were traveling from Fairbanks to Valdez and we booked a stay at this B&B. We arrived a little late and Gary was amazing. He greeted and welcomed us. We were hungry and Gary took some fruit out and sat with us while we ate. We met Sheila in the morning and she was as nice as Gary. The room and bathroom were super clean. Wi-fi was available and plenty of plugs in the room to charge our phones and camera batteries. They offered great coffee and breakfast in the morning. Very nice people and safe place to stay. I am greatful that they had availability because it seems that during the winter months in Alaska not much is open while traveling across the state. 

Great hosts!

It's a really nice B&B run by a very kind woman who has put a lot of effort into making us feel comfortable. We were lucky that we were the only guests, so we had a bath for ourselves. The breakfast was rich with fresh fruit and smoked salmon. Everything was very clean, furnished comfortably and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, we didn't know there was a floor heater, the night got so hot that we had to sleep at a feeling of 5 degrees C at an open window...

A pleasant stay

We stayed at Aura Borealis for one night.  The room was comfortable (upstairs) but small.  Personally, I did not like sharing the bathroom across the hall.  Gary is a great host and very interesting personality.  The small of incense or pouporri was overwhelming.  It does have a kind of hippie-vibe and there was a massage room down the hall from us (kind of odd) with a purple curtain and fairy pictures on walls in our room.  No views from room.
His breakfast was wonderful, smoked salmon he makes himself was great.  A nice place, but I prefer something more private.

Nice visit!!!

The host was pleasant, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean but shared. The only complaint was the buffet breakfast. I would prefer a hot breakfast of bacon and eggs or pancakes with fruit. 

Good 

We stayed here for a night on a drive from Valdez to Anchorage.  We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We talked extensively with our host Gary and he took us to look at the fish wheel on the Copper River.  We had the downstairs room with the private bathroom and recommend that room highly.  Breakfast was excellent with some of Gary's smoked salmon along with other high end continental breakfast goodies. Definitely worth the price. 

Very interesting b&b

Room had a pretty comfortable queen bed and was very clean. There was a TV and large closest available in room. Bathroom was shared and across the hall. Location is pretty quiet but could hear trucks on road or other quests in common area. The breakfast was pretty nice with fresh smoked salmon. There was no hot prepared foods like eggs and bacon, only hard boiled eggs, yogurt, sweets, cereal, juice, etc.

Nice B&B

It was a little hard to find, but then the surprise: a beautiful house with a very charming landlady who does everything to make you feel comfortable! Unfortunately, steep stairs to the rooms and only a bathroom for 2 rooms; if you are not traveling with friends, this could lead to difficulties. But these inconveniences are more than compensated for by the warmth of the lady of the house and the breakfast was excellent!

Very family atmosphere

We stayed here for three days during our honeymoon that is still going on here in Alaska. The house is beautiful, matches the photos or maybe even better. They are incredibly friendly, cordial, the house and its services are really available to guests at any time and breakfast is in a FALSE word! We were really good in all respects...and our bed was incredibly comfortable...after days spent walking there was nothing more amazing!! Really since ten and praise!!
