Had a nice relaxing visit with my two kids and my daughters dog. Cindy McNeil property manager went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and happy! Beautiful view from our 12th floor condo. Secured parking and great beach access. 😊

South Padre Visit 

Over the last 18 yrs we've stayed here several times and typically had a good experience. This condo has just over 80 units. The condo and grounds are well maintained. The condo greenery and flowers are beautiful. The same caretaker/groundskeeper has been there for 30 yrs. They have a beautiful grass lawn in back with playground for the kids and two pools and a jacuzzi. The elevators always work and are kept clean. It is gated and has its own gated boardwalk with direct beach access. Condo prices vary throughout the season and some condo units are better maintained than others. I highly recommend unit 403 which is 2 bedroom, 2 bath. It is fully stocked with modern appliances, kitchen ware, televisions with cable in both bedrooms and living room. The bathrooms have tile showers, clean newer toilets and everything was in working order. Last year we stayed in 1101 which we were not super happy with as the AC wasn't working when we arrived and they had cut a hole in the wall and installed a dehumidifier that left a large opening to easily see into the bathroom when someone was using it. Also the third bedroom looked converted into a full bath which pretty much seemed to be a toilet added in a closet. The corner balcony and view was nice but appliances seemed old and washer dryer were very noisy. Last year was our only so so experience. Every unit has nice size patio facing the beach. Some units are pet friendly. They will require a non refundable deposit. Ours was a $100 this time. I think Ocean Vista is one of the best Ocean side condos available in S. Padre. All of dealings with leasing agents have been professional.

Great vacation condo!

We stayed in room 307. It had a Trip Advisor award from a few years ago. it was a nice place and had a great view. We arrived right after the hurricane so there were some issues but over all it was great. I would stay there again.

Great view

Haven’t been to padre in 35 years. Has not changed much. This is no Four Seasons ( so the rating is for convenience and the basics of old school beach vacation) but it was a nice get away in the very old school fashion. Wagon is a must to load up with chairs, umbrellas, sand bucket, shovels, beach mat(keeps sand off your towels). Umbrellas that screw into sand extremely helpful. Boogie board for big waves. Can walk to darling Grapevine breakfast place. Could actually walk to area with bungee, Ferris wheel, bars, boats( where people rent for fishing trips and they come in to filet fish on dock and throw tails in water for big fish to eat).Can see fireworks from your door at Louie’s Tuesday. Friday and Saturday night fireworks are further up. Can walk to friendly Fun rental place for bikes to ride on street or beach. I found a couple of good books on the shelf in weight room.  Tennis court is usable but there are lots of lumps of you are picky. Some covered tables out near pool. Walk straight out to beach on little bridge. Water hoses to rinse off. Easy walk. Condos face the ocean so you get full morning sun. Balcony good for evening. Sunset would be behind you on the bay side. No shells. Huge sand bar so you can walk really far out. Big waves. Parking in enclosed lot. Code needed for all gates. No ice machine so load up on ice bags if you need a cooler at the beach. FYI, south padre has the best sand in the nation for building huge sandcastles and sculptures. If you are serious or watch a few you tube videos by Andy Hancock you can bring a bottomless trash can, small offset spatula, mechanical pencil and a straw to create some fun structures. Word to the wise, dig a moat first and build on a mound. 

Old school- convenient location

Rented this condo, 3bdrm, 2 bath, extra-large living area, tv's in all bedrooms, washer & dryer, full kitchen, swimming & kiddie pools, hot tub for long family beach get-away. The facility is "AWESOME". The best part is that it's beachfront w/big balcony facing beach. It was amazing to first find such a place to accommodate us, next to be exactly what we've looked for!  Now don't misunderstand, it's not cheap, but it's well worth the money.

Long Beach Weekend

Two couples stayed in #102 for two weeks and we enjoyed the location of the condo and the grounds were kept up beautifully.  Be warned only the kiddie pool is heated.  The hot tub was nice.   I have to say for the price I expected a more updated condo.  It needs work.  A little dark and dreary on the ground floor,  some appliances need replacing,  and many of the outlets didn't work.  Needs an overhaul. 

Great location

We've stayed in many places on the island over the years. Ocean Vista has proven to be amongst the best as far as price and location are concerned. We have found a condo in this property that is over $1000 less than we have spent elsewhere and it is every bit as nice. The pool is handy and has a great view of the gulf. Overall we have been very pleased. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is that sometimes security is lacking and kids are screaming and carrying on way past 11:00 PM in the pool area.

Great property

We stayed for 6 nights in a beautiful condo that was 3 br 3 bath , full corner wrap around balcony facing the beautiful ocean with amazing sunsets and sunrises. 
EXTREMLY relaxing times spent on back balcony , listening to the ocean, and having adult drinks, while the kids were sleeping from a busy day at the beach building sand castles and boogie boarding in the waves.  Amazing trip for a family, or a couple just looking to have a little get away!

The best views!

Wonderful family friendly two bedroom condo that was professionally decorated.  We appreciated the heated pool in the winter, kids playground, and easy access to the beach.  This condo is very centrally located on South Padre Island within walking distance of some nice restaurants and shops.

Ocean Vista 406

Our neighbors own the condo at the Gulf-side beach.  It's located on the 3rd floor.  They keep it impeccably clean and organized.  The decor - beach, of course - is tasteful in every way.  The owners are friendly and helpful.  Their condo has 3 bedrooms (1 a master bedroom), 2 baths, an open concept living area with kitchen, counter eating along with a dining area for the round table and chairs.  The living room is surrounded by glass from the floor to the ceiling, as is the one "wall" in the master bedroom.  The view of the Gulf of Mexico is incredibly beautiful from inside the condo and on the humongous wrap-around balcony.  So many extras are included in this rental property & amenities: pool, hot tub, tennis court, a clean beach, comfy beds, stainless appliances, leather sectional, new mounted TV, and a stacked washer & dryer combo.  The owners aim to please, and do a fine job based on their ratings & reviews, and they have hit the bullseye when it comes to customer satisfaction.  My husband & I highly recommend their property if your wanting a fantastic vacation at a salt-water beach.
