Outstanding hotel in South Padre Island TX not far from the beach and walking distance to several top restaurants. Has a nice pool and a working hot tub with chairs and tables to gather around the pool and hot tub. Outdoor grill available. Management is top notch with a long time manager that knows the hotel business and how to treat customers. Maintenance man is always available and another long time employee. Housekeepers are hard working and very responsive to customers needs and most have been there many years as well. I always seek out this hotel anytime I am in South Padre Island as I know all staff by first names. Prices are very good, and there is a small breakfast available.

Always a great and pleasant  place to stay in South Padre Island

I wish I could give this place zero stars but unfortunately the lowest option I could pick is a 1. We got in very late due to working late and were ready to rest. I go inside to check in and the lobby was very unkept. Food that I’m assuming was for breakfast that morning was just placed randomly on a table. Check-in took forever but since it was so late we gave it a pass. We get our keys and go to our assigned room. The first thing we notice is that lights are flickering all over the place. Good thing we aren’t epileptic. We find our room and the keys don’t work. We go back to the office and after a long wait we get new keys. We finally get into our room and our jaws hit the floor. This is nothing like what the pictures on the internet showed. Paint chipped off of every surface, A/C unit was propped up by a random piece of wood, jacuzzi tub was not sealed and looked gross and the room was just deplorable. Even our dog was uncomfortable sitting on the floor. Even the lamp on the inside of the unit was flickering. The laundry room outside was a disaster. This was easily one of the worse places I have ever witnessed. We had no choice but to leave. Later on that day I called the manager for a refund and offered to show her all of the pictures and videos that I took regarding the condition of her Inn. I was met with contempt and defensiveness, but no accountability. She also refused to give us any type of refund, even though she was aware of the condition of her Inn and that we could not stay there. We stayed there in August and are still fighting to get that refund. I would recommend that nobody stay here until this place is completely overhauled.

My girlfriend and I stayed here this past weekend for one night. Our door was missing the security latch which shows management doesn't inspect the rooms frequently. If they do, they don't care.

Our bedding was very poor. We had a few sheets and maybe a thin blanket. They can't even bother to use an actual comforter. The toilet wouldn't flush after a few uses. You had to take off the lid to the tank on the toilet and jiggle the device that makes the tank refill. Because of an event going on in town, rates got raised at "all" hotels. This place isn't worth $114 for a night when rates go up. At best, it is worth $40. 

Management needs to try to show they actually care about the condition of their rooms. We won't be staying there again.

Not worth the money

Paid $230 for one night. Room was infested with roaches. Got moved to a smaller room because of roaches. I asked for some sort of compensation or small refund because we got moved to a smaller room. They flat out said “No, we don’t have to do anything”. They were very rude.

This is the grossest most unclean, run down, disgusting place in SPI Do not say here they will rip you off and then not let you cancel or get a refund! NEVER STAY HERE!!! 
I could not stay at this Motel, 15 min after getting there I asked for my refund and they refused. I went to a different Hotel and rented a room for 5 days there!

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Disgustingly dirty. We didn’t even sit on the furniture, it was so filthy. Loud partying in parking lot all night, suspicious activities including prostitution . One morning we awoke at sunrise to our neighbor being arrested. They also change the rate from $42.00 nightly weekdays to $180.00 for weekends.  Why would I pay $180.00 for the same horrible room that just the night before cost $42.00? I couldn’t cancel without penalty, or otherwise would have checked out night one.

Filthy

This place is disgusting. While the staff is very friendly, the carpet has all of the colors of the rainbow. I'm pretty sure it had literal blood on it. Once we got back home, my husband and I walked into our bathtub so we could scrub our feet. We didn't want any chance of getting fungus in our house. Not to mention the ceiling, walls, and corners have viable mold. The "kitchenette" is a mini fridge and microwave - which is not a kitchette. I've stayed at Motel 6 plenty of times and this is so much worse.

Don't

The rooms are run down and dirty, the pool has big chunks missing in the floor and the hot tub can fit two people at best.  Two lamp shades were missing, one was ripped half off, no towel in room upon arrival and when they did come we received a combination of towels and floor mat, dial microwave, fridge shelves broken, no hangers, no toilet paper roll.  And the guy at the front desk just didn't care.  DO NOT stay here.  They cancelled breakfast but still advertised it on their website.

I would give it negative if I could

It was horrible..To start off the doors wouldn’t even close right,restroom was filthy,lights were so dirty, walls and bedsheets were stained, pool was very dirty too, Inside the cabinets were filled with dirt and the customer service was rude and horrible..
