Very nice person on staff, but the traffic areas of the carpet was nearly black with dirt, and the bed linens were probably over 20 years old. A section of the bathroom floor sunk under my feet- probably rot from a leak. Unfortunately a racoon knocked over the garbage bins during the night. That didn't bother me, but the staff was injured and couldn't put the trash back in the bins. I was horrified to see a large rat going through it in broad daylight. On the plus side, breakfast is not included. With some serious investment, this place could have potential. I have travelled extensively in the third world and am not bothered by much, but I'd rather stay in my car.  

Don't Stay

Main building is a wreck, unpainted, vacant, mess of boxes in front room and on interior stairway. Attached Phad Thai is closed, appears to have been closed for over a year. Apparently only room is the Patio room. Small, shabby, bed is a 2 in pad over a box spring?, TV has a non functioning remote-owner said someone took it. Patio door does not lock from the outside. Patio is a mess or chairs, tables, umbrellas, weeds, and trash. No exterior light to see when going to front door (only one, at the patio. Surrounding yard weed and trash filled. No signage on either ninth or main. Recommend you pass on this place, any price is too high

Doon't go there.

This is not an “Inn”, but a room in a house where someone put locks on the door. The manager/owner is very friendly, but this place has no business being rented out. Something was wrong with the electricity, so extension cords were run up the stairs-very unsafe (tripping hazard and we were told the electrician warned against using  too many outlets). The one room we rented was clean, but the rest of the house was cluttered. The fencing was propped plywood. We had to request towels and soap. The price was astronomical for what we got- $120/night. If this place was assessed, I believe it would lose its license.

We even received a voucher for a nice coffee and breakfast place walking distance down the rd.
We stayed in the small back room.
It was quite and comfortable.

Nice little place.great location!!

I just stayed here thinking from the photoshoot the website  that it would be cute and clean. Little did I know I’d be sent to a little shack in the back of the restaurant with no windows. 

The carpet was wet and dirty, the appliances all stacked up and chords everywhere. The bathroom cabinet was broken and there’s a chord running way too close to the bathroom sink. It smelled of mildew and cigarettes. 

I way over payed for this place! I am beyond disappointed, I feel gross and not well rested. The bed was a 3 inch foam topper and that’s it, no proper mattress or anything. 

The lady in charge seemed like she was struggling which made it hard for me to write this review because I feel for her. But if you’re spending over $100 a night this is a waste of your money and it feels like Robbery.

Not worth it

I stayed 2 nights in the Patio Room.  It was a bedroom/bathroom tacked to the back of the main building. The path to the door was bumpy so I had to carry my wheeled suitcase there. I arrived in the evening; the lighting was not good, but the lady in charge waited for me to arrive, and walked me to my unit.  She seemed very nice.  There was a queen bed, dresser, night stands, and a table on which sat a little fridge and microwave. There was no TV, a surprise to me and a drawback. My first morning, I wondered why the mattress wasn't comfortable, so I looked and there was only a box spring and a mattress topper of maybe 3" foam. Both rooms had electric heaters on the wall and they worked well. The bathroom had what looked like a kitchen cabinet/sink/counter. The facilities worked fine, shower was small but adequate. The bedroom was carpeted but the carpet was dirty in many places, and the curtains covering the glass doors to the outside were different lengths and also looked dirty. The WiFi number was not posted, so I called the lady in the morning to get it, but when I got it, it would not get me online.  I had to go to a nearby store with WiFi to get a connection.  For security reasons for a solo traveler, I would not stay there again because of the glass doors leading directly outside to a dark area.  The fridge was a good idea, and the microwave would be handy for some travelers, but more attention should have been paid to cleanliness of the furnishings and comfort of the bed.

Nice people but odd place!

The "B and B" is really a rooming house with 2 second floor rooms, each with their own bathroom, located above a Thai restaurant.  There is a common entrance to the restaurant and the rooms, so you never know who is going to knock on your door. There are also the noise and smells from the restaurant to contend with.  The second "B" in B and B actually stands for bakery rather than breakfast; they give you a voucher to go to a bakery a few blocks away.  Unfortunately the bakery doesn't open until 9 so if you want to eat before that you are out of luck.  There is no room service; make your own bed and the towels that are there when you check in are the only towels you get.  There is no management on site.  The place is tired and needs a thorough cleaning. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Would not stay here again

Despite the picture, this is one room in the back. But very nice! Quiet and with awesome hosts. Breakfast giftcards for a local establishment included. Front of the building has an authentic Thai restaurant that is popular with locals.

Nice one-room Inn

I had low expectations after reading other reviews.  However, our stay there was quite nice.  We stayed in one of the rooms on the second floor, and they may be much better than the ones in the back.  The room was spacious, quiet, and clean.  This place is certainly more like a motel than a B&B.  I was met by the owner at an agreed time, she showed us around, and that was it.  We were given a certificate that covered about half the breakfast cost at a local place.  The cost of staying here is similar to the cost at the local motel, the Coupeville Inn, which serves a minimal breakfast.  One advantage of having a Thai restaurant in the first floor is that we had a great happy hour with our bottle of wine and some freshly cooked egg rolls.  I would have no problem with staying here again.

Much Better Than Expected

We were met by the owner and shown the room, she was very nice and waited despite us being late due to traffic, the bed was comfortable, the wifi worked, and we were given two $8 gift cards for a local bakery in lieu of breakfast, unfortunately these are the only good things I have to say about this tiny, fly-ridden, spider infested (more on that below) room.

We were in the 'patio room' which is a small shack behind the Thai restaurant which takes up the main house in the photos (these are not where the rooms are). It is a very small space, with a full sized bed with no TV and a microwave somewhat precariously placed on a small table with a refrigerator on top of it. The door is also very flimsy and although it locks, it could probably be broken open by a stiff breeze. The bathroom was small - full of flies - and had an odd kitchenette set up inside of it, the shower is small but not too bad, however we ended up not using it. The reason why was because in the small 1" gap between the shower and the linen closet (yes, all in the bathroom/kitchen) was an absolutely gigantic spiders nest. It seemed like this had not been cleaned in months if not years because it wasn't a simple web, but a thick net of webs, at first we thought it just to be cobwebs - because there was so much of it - but on closer inspection we founded it to be infested with dead flies, large dead spiders and it's owner - a sizable Black Widow.

We honestly would have left if it weren't so late and on a holiday weekend, instead I was left to do some amateur pest control because otherwise my girlfriend would have been reduced to sleeping in the car, rather than share a space with a poisonous arachnid.

I did sleep well, the bed was honestly comfortable, but the room is quite bad overall, especially the bathroom, I have doubts the structure is even up to code. Would not recommend.
