The room was nice, big & super clean.  The customer service & lack of professionalism was the biggest problem we had. My husband goes to pay for our room & hand her his debit card. She takes it to run it & it asks for a pin number.  She wants him to give her his pin number so she can put it in for him. She refuses to back out of it& run it as credit.  She says that's to complicated & takes longer. She had an issue with him not wanting to give in to her & give her the pin number.  He left to go get cash from the car to pay for the room.  The bed was so beyond uncomfortable. It was at least 3feet or more of the ground.  The bed was higher than my 2yr old  is tall. Last time she was measured she was 2inches short of being 3 feet tall. Then the bed was extra super hard. Sleeping on a bed of rocks&Pebbles with a pillow & a few blankets would have been soooo much more comfortable.

Clean room bad customer service 

It is very quiet and the rooms are very large. There is a microwave and refrigerator. A flat screen. Comfy. Bed large. Price reasonable. But the owners do not want you to have guest. I would suggest coming here if you want peace and quiet



End of the dove

I have literally never asked for a refund on a room but this place was hands-down the nastiest, sketchiest motel I've ever been to. 

The warning sign was that the room key was a repurposed insurance discount card complete with information on how to sign up for discounts on prescriptions. 

We spent twenty minutes here before we decided that the room was so absolutely filthy that we couldn't spend the weekend here, and considering we were just looking for a place to sleep while we are otherwise out at a convention all weekend is saying something. The only reason we lasted so long was because I really hate asking for refunds and we thought we could try to make the best of it. 

Within a half hour I was sick to my stomach and had a pounding headache from how awful the smell was - the interior of the room was filthy, poorly lit, and reeked of smoke even though we asked for a non-smoking room. Part of the carpet was ripped up and re-patched. There was dust on surfaces and inside of drawers. Huge holes in the blankets from where someone had dropped a cigarette multiple times apparently, and someone else's hairs on the pillows so I guess the pillow cases weren't clean. Big white stains on the armchair in the room. The towels looked worn and dirty in the bathroom. Remote for the tv was sticky/greasy and had a spot that looked like someone had burned that too - as did the toilet seat in the bathroom. Literally zero amenities, no hair dryer, no closet, no wifi password was given. 

When we went to ask for our money back, we noticed there was a bullet hole in the window of the office that had been taped over with clear duct tape to keep the glass together, and the staff is behind a sliding window for their safety, which definitely did not make us any more inclined to stay. The area just didn't feel safe so we booked another room elsewhere and I'm so glad we did.

The staff argued with me over the refund and ended up charging a "cleaning fee" because I wasn't giving up without getting my money back. I would not wish this hotel on anyone, and I honestly don't know how they pass inspection or how they still get customers. Absolutely disgusting.

You couldn't pay me to stay here.

I made a reservation for this Hotel a month ago. Read the reviews. I'm one that likes to find out for myself. My Husband and I get to the hotel this past weekend (10/15) for The Texas State Fair. Excellent place to stay. Very quiet, Private, Reasonable rate, Very,Very clean room. We stayed in the Dallas Cowboy Themed room #126 Non smoking. We were very impressed. The bed was so comfortable & cozy. Were looking forward to going back. Easy access to the freeway. Very Satisfied customers. Excellent front desk service.100%

Texas State Fair Visit

Good basic lodging, great price for the area.  Stayed during a trade show, short easy drive to the convention center. No real breakfast available, only a Wendy's in the immediate area. Neighborhood seems sketchy, but I had not problems.

Okay for the price

Stayed @ this hotel on Saturday, March 7, 2015.  Rooms were clean, staff was polite and helpful, had no problems with our price-line reservations. 

If the location works for you, this hotel offers a good value.

If you are looking for a swanky hotel with lots of amenities, look elsewhere.  

We were visiting Dallas for the North Texas Irish Festival and needed a place to stay that was close to Fair Park and that was affordable.
  
As we were spending most of our time @ the festival, we did not need a spa or for star restaurant.  

We simply needed a nice place to serve as a meeting place for our group and somewhere quite to sleep after a long day at the festival.

Inn of the Dove fit the bill wonderfully....We will be back next year!!
