One of the worst hotels ever - how bad can it be, well it is.  The drained pool, broken windows and security glass, rude staff, and 17 bugs -mostly roaches found in the room.  When I got there the water had been turned off and had to fill the toilets myself - nice suite, sarcasm dripping

The room was horrible there was extension cords to connect microwave refrigerator and lamp the restroom needed a new seat the one there was peeling while you day. The shower had hair from previous guest. The breakfast was bought donuts and coffee cold cereal nothing else. I got charged twice what I should have because I left after first night  for the  room trying to work it out with staff before I involve my bank. Will not be staying or recommend this room to friend.

Hotel was large. The pool, family fun area, bar and restaurant were all closed. The rooms were not clean. They had no regular coffee packets for the room. There was no bar of soap in our room. The heat was shut off in all common areas. This may have been a decent hotel years ago but it has obviously gone down hill. It appears that its just too big and too expensive for the owners maintain properly.

Not good

The first room had no heat. When I called to ask for heat, I was told we would be moved to another room, someone would escort us to the new room soon. When they arrived, they also escorted the guest from the room next to ours, who also had no heat. The next room was very cold but it did have slow heat. The heater ran from 6 PM until 12:30 AM when it was finally warm enough to go to sleep. The free breakfast consisted of a 12 pack of packaged mini donuts (for all to share) and a bowl of apples.

On arrival having eventually found the hotel, we booked Hotel Davenport which no longer existed and it had been bought out twice and it was sign posted Travelodge. We arrived at 1pm and we were told our room was confirmed and ready but we had to come back after 3pm to check in. When we got back the Manager was behind the desk and we checked in and we went to our room and found the room smelt of cooking and was very dirty and it was a double bed and we had requested twin beds, we went back to reception and she gave us keys to another room but this one was again a double bed. Back again to reception and another room key but this one was in the process of being decorated and the bed was upright against the wall, so back to reception upon where the Manager said if we wanted to we could go and stay at another hotel !! By this time it was late evening otherwise we would have gone to find another hotel but we had been driving all day and we were tired and just wanted to get into a room, so she gave us another room which was again the same as the last and in the process of being decorated. Eventually a room was found but entering the room we found pubic hairs on the toilet seat and bathroom floor the bathroom wasn't cleaned - nor was the room found a bag of decomposing chips in the fridge, socks in one of the drawers. The air cover was hanging off. So me and my wife cleaned the room as by this time we just wanted to go to sleep as it was about 9pm. We then found the fridge wasn't working and the air con kept going off. So the maintenance man came and attempted to fix the air con and I went with him hunting a working fridge in another room to bring back to our room. Didn't sleep very well as the air con broke down again during the night and it was very hot in the room. In the morning we went to have our continental breakfast, we found lukewarm coffee and no tea bags and the milk was so old it had curdled in fact all the food displayed looked like it had been there for months, even the cakes were frozen to the cake base and there were flies everywhere. DON'T STAY HERE - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!
