We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Sunglow Resort.  We stayed in unit 105 a two bedroom two bath condo on the first floor. This unit is very spacious with all the basics you need. The first bedroom has a king memory foam bed with comfy pillows and plenty of closet/drawer space.  The flat screen TV in this room should be bigger but we didn't use it anyway.  The first full bath has a small entry way but a gorgeous walk in shower.  The second bedroom is huge.  It has a full bed, bunk beds, recliner, flat screen, dresser and sliding glass door to patio.  The second bathroom has a standard toilet and tub shower.  It's the sink/ vanity that makes this exceptional.  The kitchen is gorgeous and very functional.  The wood cabintry and hardware added to the home feeling of this condo.  Plenty of pots/pans, appliances, utensils... all the stuff I needed to prepare meals for my family.  The living area double as dining area with comfy leather sofa and recliner, table and chairs, TV trays, flat screen TV(no remote), and direct patio access.  We were able to park directly in front of the unit and access it through the sliding glass door which was a plus for my 85 year old grandmother. The patio had 4 Adirondack chairs and small table, and outdoor water equipment (boogie board, noodles, beach chair). The unit sleeps 8 comfortably if you use the pull out sofa.  My family was very comfortable.  The staff was very friendly and helpful from the security guard to housekeeping. S/O Mary and Darlene. Our grandmother enjoyed herself tremendously.  The unit does not have washer/dryer but there are units avail for use throughout the property. The pool and jacuzzi were very clean with plenty of tables and chairs.  Poolside bathrooms were clean and very convenient. No direct beach access from pool area but directly beside the property (from parking lot) are stairs that lead down to the beach.  Crabby Joe's  and the pier added to the value of our stay.  We'll definitely book another stay here.

Sunglow seems really nice in the photos and on the websites. I was fooled. We arrived and it was so dirty and unclean. The photos aren't even close to what you receive when you arrive. It is WAY over priced. Head the warning and stay elsewhere. The office staff is extremely rude and not helpful at all.

Dirty and Old

Please take my warning before staying at Sunglow. They are far from a resort to say the least.  Our socks and feet were black from walking inside the condo. The building and condos are so outdated and filthy. I don't think the floors have ever been mopped. I had to thoroughly clean this condo before we could even start our vacation stay. They also charge you a cleaning fee to live in filth for a week. Please do your research before you give them any money. Also, you only get 1 towel per person total so you are forced to use the laundry room which you have to pay for.

Dirty and Outdated- Photos are deceving

We were pleasantly surprised at the ease of checking in and at the friendliness of the front desk.  Upon arriving the lady at the desk was very helpful in answering any questions and was giving us all the logistics of the resort. Each day as we walked through the lobby she always would greet us. We arrived a little early and were informed that the condo was ready and we could go up at any time. The condo met and surpassed all our expectations. We received all the ammenties that were listed and were surprised with a few extras that were not listed. The grounds/pool were being maintained daily while we were there.The security of the building was a plus for our family. We liked the use of keys to enter and leave the grounds and we loved that the parking was secure as well. We enjoyed our stay there and look forward to returning again. 

First time renters

Girls wanted to go to the beach to celebrate bridging to Seniors! Got this condo online for a good price. It is a little dated but very clean! We have enjoyed the view and the nice large unit. Only wish it operated more like a hotel. No way to get more towels or other necessities unless the desk was open (10-5). Asked for towels during business hours and were told they would be put on our door but the were not - so we went the whole weekend with 6 people and 4 towels and there were no linen for pullout :(otherwise it is worth the $$ - just bring extra towels and some sheets!

Girls Scout weekend

We have stayed in our corner unit 4 years now and they have made improvements each year. Our unit is on the 10th floor and the view is fantastic. The unit is large and has plenty of room for when family visits. The office girls at the condo are great and always very helpful and pleasant. The pool is warm and the hot tub is a nice size. The location is great being next door to Crabby Joe's pier. The building is older but clean and grounds are kept up nicely.

The Sunglow Condos in Daytona Beach, Florida were an alternative to paying the high price for a hotel room with sea views, it was like being at home, everything was provided, including sheets and towels, while in most rental apartments you have to bring your own.

Paradise at the Sunglow

The Sunglow Condos in Daytona Beach, Florida, were the alternative to the expensive hotel rooms with sea views, because this was like staying at home. We had everything here, including bedding and towels (as opposed to most apartments where you have to bring your own). The apartments are right on Daytona Beach; the beach is beautifully white, the fine sand is cool.
