The room was nice.  We didn't have any soap so we called  -0-  to ask for soap for the soap dispenser, he said they would bring us some.  An half hour later he still hadn't brought us any.  There were only 2 other cars there so I  walked over to the office.  He said I should call 911 for emergency after this if I needed anything.  I asked if he meant the police, and he told me to call 911 if I needed anything after this again.  This was only a little after 9 p.m.  My friend that I was there with for an art show had made the mistake of paying him in cash.  He proceeded to decided to tell us just to leave if we were unhappy and that he would just refund our money.  She went over to get her money back and then he decided to not return her money and  told us to get out and became very foul mouthed.  I believe this was his intent all of the time.  We told him we weren't going to leave if he didn't give us our money back and he became even more nasty.  We called the police, but we became very frightened of him.  He had also been drinking.  He was also listening in at one of the other doors that was rented out.  He continued to hollered at us as we left.

terrible experience

Asked owner about the refrigerator and he said online it does say that but they dont have one. Room was clean but it had a funky smell. Area not the best but it was close to downtown. Only reason I booked it was for the refrigerator so I was disapointed

Don’t let the outside appearance fool you. The manager walked us to our room and personality checked everything out with us. The noise from the road can be defeated by running your heating and air conditioning unit. The inside of our room was excellent. The entire room was clean and cozy and the price can’t be beat. Bottom line here folks, if you are staying overnight, on a budget and want a good central location. Choose this place.

Nice little place to stop and stay for the night. When checking in it was quick and easy and the staff was friendly. The motel has lots of security camera and is on a busy road. But is every accessible to downtown area which we liked.

For the one night I was there it wasn’t  bad especially for the price. I slept comfortably. The one thing is the noise from the street, but I’m a light sleeper. Cute hotel inside. Outside could use some work. But nice find for me!!

So I wouldn't call this love at first sight.  The motel's exterior screamed...well, motel.  The check in area was a sterile space scattered with moth balls, and the paint colors were definitely chosen by a blind person. I waited my turn and approached the bullet proof glass.  The nice lady sorted out some confusion and sent me to the room. 

This is where the motel shined. The room was not at all Bates like.  The owners had put a lot of effort in updating it. As other reviewers mentioned, the clean room had enough charging ports and the a/c was strong. Not many extras, but it had all the necessities. The street noise was covered up by the a/c and the bed was comfortable. 

The only real disappointment, was that the WiFi did not work for my husband. And there was nowhere in the vicinity to eat and this was not the walking type area. I'm sure it wasn't unsafe, but still.

It appears that this is a simple motel that a hard working family has made the best of. It does not pretend to be the Hilton, but just a comfortable , clean place to lay your head within 10 min of downtown...and cost a third of your typical downtown hotel.  If this is your expectation, then you will be happy.  3.5 stars is seems right.
