Very bad mold problems . Coughing all night . So bad , had to leave a day early . Took two days just to recover from it . The room looks clean , but at close inspection . Found it all o er the bathroom , but worst of all . The AC / Heater was loaded with black mold . If you have breathing problems STAY AWAY !!!

The property is spacious.  There is a well maintained pool.  Our room had a comfortable living room and kitchen.  Breathtaking views of the Lake.  Quiet and peaceful at night.  I left an item in the room.  Owner Wendy was nice enough to mail it to me!

Beautiful Lake George Views

I recently went to Lake George for the Adirondack Nationals weekend, while I was there I stayed at this resort. The rooms are nice and spacious, with Real wood paneling on the walls. Wendy, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating, and it's amazing that she takes care of this place all on her own, with very little assistance. The property is right on Lake George. There is a deli right across the street, get up and get coffee and breakfast, then go back across the street and sit by the lake enjoying the morning sun. I hope to be staying here again in the future.

Great place to stay

After reading a prior review, I had to post this review. Our stay was also in August 2020. Can't say enough about our stay. Wendy was first class all the way from check-in to check-out. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for a stay as a family of 5 with a 4-month infant. We were able to cook meals which was a great savings and convenience. We had a 2-bedroom unit and we were glad to have followed another guests suggestion of bringing fans to move the cool air from the air conditioned common area into the bedroom. I might suggest that the owner consider putting ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Other than that, everything was wonderful. The pool was delightful. The beach was too. Bring pool shoes. We even used the grills that were provided down by the beach. The recreation room is great if you have teenagers along with you. Wendy was their for all our needs. We were so happy that we booked for next summer before leaving. It is just far enough away from the hustle bustle of Lake George Village to make it nice and quiet.

Fabulous Experience. Super management.

I stayed here last year for vacation and it was a total disaster and disappointment.The employees and management were rude and racist to my family.Once upon entering the hotel, they gave us dirty looks and didn’t give us a welcoming smile.They kept looking down our necks and kept judging us for being a Muslim household.The hotel was outdated and didn’t look the cleanest, but we didn’t complain about it to them.In the night, we asked them for new sheets of blankets or pillows if they had and they totally flipped out on my teens just for asking.And told us to get out the next morning.My family and I were in complete shock because we haven’t even done anything and they already want us gone Bc we asked for new blankets and pillows.How ridiculous is that.But in the next morning, my family and I gathered up to talk outside before going out for breakfast.And we thought about leaving the hotel that night because we couldn’t stand being around a toxic hotel that wanted us for no reason.And we asked management a question, and once again they flipped out on us.The male with a bald head came in front of aunts and was getting close to her, mind you she was holding a little baby with her.And we were all filled with women only, and we only had two teen boys with us and lots of little children around us.And when children see a big scary looking white male throwing chairs and verbally attacking and cussing racist slurs about us.They were mortified and were crying and he and his wife didn’t care or try to stop the situation but only made it worst.So no I don’t recommend this to anyone because they are lazy, stubborn people who treat there customers horribly for no good reason.You could even see other customers being mortified at the way he was treating us and they were telling him to back off and he didn’t he only came closer.So please don’t go to this hotel, because you would regret it and they would make you leave and not give you a refund back even though you didn’t even stay there for less then 24hours.

The worst hotel I have ever been too

the staff, hotel, the rooms everything was disgusting. staff are racist, sexist, and have nasty attitudes. my family and I stayed here and we complained about not enough pillows and wanted new sheets because the ones in the room were dirty, stained, had hair all over it and they became extremely violent with us. they threw chairs at us and broke glass! this place needs to be shutdown!!!!!! we weren't even there for one night! DISGUSTING AND OVERALL NASTY! DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL!

Stayed here in  July with a friend we loved the lake access and the location away from  all the traffic nice place to chill out nice flat lake access rooms not large  but big enough for the time u spend in there bathroom kind of small  rooms were clean and beds comfy  no complaints employees very friendly  would of been nice if there were paddle boards kayaks or something like that to use or floats for the lake  just a suggestion hope to return next year 

Lakeside 

Has a Bavarian feel to it when you drive in. They should update the sign on the front.The wood in the room interior looks like real solid Adirondack wood. The bathroom is small and very basic. But it's usually all I need. The TV looks like it's three miles away. I was too tired to watch it anyway. The staff person wass very nice.There is a deli/ pizza place and a restaurant right across the street. They were jammed for the car show, but they seemed to keep up with the pace.
If you are OK with a cozy room with little extravagance, this will suit you just fine. And it's easy on the wallet. There is a fantastic view of the Lake from the property.I would recommend it to most of my friends.

Lake side

If anyone is looking to stay in the Lake George area, I highly recommend Olympian Village Resort. It's an old motel and they've renovated the rooms, and many are suites. We booked a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was so great for all 4 kids to have their own beds, and for my husband and I to have our own master bed/bath suite. The rooms were all done in pine, which made it feel like we were staying in a cottage - and all very clean, too. Full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, fridge), big dining table, and living room area. The pool is incredible - really big, and clean, and with a view of the lake - just gorgeous. It was actually tough to get the kids to go do anything, because they just wanted to hang out at the pool all the time. There's a small beachfront area, and you could swim there, but we chose to drive down the road to a sandy beach in Bolton Landing. But we did have lunch there one day, and I spent a little time there every morning, just enjoying the peace and quiet. The location is ideal, as well - situated right between Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. And the owner was readily available anytime we needed anything. On top of all that, the price was really reasonable - I did a ton of research, and we got way more for our money than we would have staying at some of the other hotels in the area. If we go back to Lake George anytime in the near future, we'd probably stay there again.

Had a fantastic time!

It had been a few years since we came to LG, and we were swiftly remined what we've been missing.  The Olympian is our go to place.  So many places are on a slope/hill, and getting to and from the lake can be challenging for individuals with walking disabilities, bad backs and lugging kids and strollers around.  The Olympian is FLAT!, with the exception of a small decline by the docks.  
The 2 double beds were comfy; the bathroom small-but adequate.  Nice digital TV, and plenty of channels.  Cell phone reception was good, and the Wi-Fi was also.  The grounds were well kept, and the pool furniture in good condition.  Nice that there's a supply of charcoal grills to use, not just the stationary ones near the playground.  
Can't beat the view from the dock/beach area.  Nice roped off swim area that is only 4 ft. at the deepest, for the little ones.  Recommend wearing water shoes to walk comfortably on the stone beach.  
We really enjoy the great deli and Italian restaurant just across the road.  Parked the van for 3 days, and didn't need to travel anywhere.  A conversion van does not fit under the front entrance; there's a side entrance that is perfect.
