We love it! Kind owner, comfortable bed, clean, homelike, and just beautiful. We hope to visit again when we have more time.
We are taking my daughter to visit Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and found this gem. We are so glad we did.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed staying at Rabun Manor! It was absolutely beautiful and so much privacy! Bedding was wonderful! Great host and our breakfast was amazing too! We were so excited to find this gem! Can’t wait to visit again!

Don’t hesitate! Beautiful place to stay!

This is a beautiful 1800’s mansion set in the beautiful mountains of Dillard, GA, but our stay was just average.  The room was nice, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was just ok (commode was way too close to the wall though).  Definitely need to put in a working door knob on the room (we stayed in the Spice Room) instead of relying on the dead bolt.
The breakfast was different.  It consisted of a pancake that about an inch thick and very large served with 2 strips of bacon, a sausage patty, and a slice of a grilled potato.  Beverage options were coffee, juices, and water.  It was ok but didn’t really stand out.  
The owner was very courteous and genuine.  There was just that little something that was missing that I can’t quite put my finger on that would have made our stay unforgettable.

Has potential but not quite there yet

We were excited to stay here after looking at the photos online and were thankful that they offered two pet friendly "cottages" so we could bring our pup along. Unfortunately, when we arrived we found out quickly that the photos online don't quite reflect the current conditions of the establishment. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful but disorganized and seemingly overwhelmed. The bed and breakfast portion is beautiful and historic but in much need of repairs. We found broken furnishings tucked away in the corner and rotting wood in various places on the exterior. We did find the linens to be clean and fresh but there were many cobwebs and bugs throughout the main house as well as the cottage we stayed in. The food was good but the focus was definitely more on fancy presentation instead of quantity and satisfaction. Though the food tasted fine the portion sizes were small and there wasn't enough staff to plate the food and deliver it to our table at one time. By the time the last person in our party received their food the first person was already finished and waiting for everyone else. We found the same to be true about lunch. Hopefully with some time the owner will make the needed repairs and hire some extra help. It has the potential to be an awesome place with a little TLC.

Has potential, needs work

I committed the cardinal sin of travel by not researching reviews about this place in advance. Pics very misleading. Thank goodness I only booked one night, which I didn't even use. Recent reviews all correct. This place is a straight up dump. Dark, dusty, dirty, carpets need to be vacuumed, dead bugs on floor, hairs in sick, mold around windows, etc. etc. Booked the spice room. Beware!

$234.72 lesson learned

I read the reviews and went. It was filthy, worn, and all the owner could say was that he is running at a loss. Well, he could of cleaned the place. The paint was peeling, the carpets were filthy and I found bugs in my room.  If I could of found other reservations, I would of left. Never again.

It's not what you think it is It's purely Dump. 
The pictures are not what you see on the website. 
It's definitely a rundown place. 
I am a witness to that. Trust me you will thank me by the end.

Anniversary

We only visited Rabun Manor for a meal but it was very enjoyable.  The old house is attractively decorated.  We only had a meal there and had a great relaxed time with friends.  We arrived early enough for a happy hour glass of wine before ordering a variety of their offerings.  All thought the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp was outstanding and was 4 large shrimp.  Baked ziti was very tasty and several other people had the large house salad with additions from several meat offerings.  The service was not totally polished but very friendly and they are just starting to recover from the pandemic turn down.  Chef/owner made the rounds and was very personable.  Live music was about to start as we left and the person that night sounded good.  We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Nice relaxed meal at the restaurant

Wonderfully appointed manor with period furnishings. Dave and his staff were very friendly and eager to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Also the restaurant was excellent with an outstanding bar! Really enjoyed our stay.

Great retreat resort for escape to the mountains

The rooms and house as a whole were absolutely gorgeous. Everyone was quite friendly, and I especially enjoyed the service and company of Justin. At the time, I believe he was preparing for the July 4th menu, but he took time to talk with me and my three friends. As someone who used to cook for a living, it was great hearing about his current experiences, his thoughts on the culinary arts, and his recommendations for restaurants around the area. I would definitely go here again.
