1. After making and paying for your reservation online and you arrive, they tell you that their credit card machine is "broke" and they can only accept cash.

2. Upon entering the room it smells musty and stale.

3. After staying one night for about 4 hours and checking out, they make up excuses as to why you cannot get your $50 cash deposit back. They even resort to outright lies. 

4. When you try calling the main number to complain all you get is the runaround.

5. When researching the company on the Louisiana Secretary of State's website to try to get contact info for upper management, the contact info shown is in India.

6. SHAME on OYO for allowing these unscrupulous business practices to go on.

Well the black girl works 3-10 doesn’t give me good vibes and she always got something so say and the management here sucks and how do you hire ppl without checking backgrounds that crazy and now I’m paying to stay here and getting no respect

The visit

This place is a dump!  We reserved two rooms for one night while visiting Oak Alley Plantation. One room was okay but dirty. The second was already occupied!  The desk gave us another room and the air conditioner made so much noise it sounded like a big truck running through the room!  The third room was okay, but not a king like we ordered. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee and one kind of dry cereal, but no milk.  I would never stay here again for any reason!!

THE WORST EVER!!

This hotel is being renovated so you are getting yourself into a construction zone. It used to be the old Red Roof Inn. The outside of the building has been repainted. There is a temporary lull in the renovation inside because there has been a delay in materials. From what I was told, full renovation should be complete by the end of Winter. Currently, the west side on both floors are being renovated. When this is done, the procedure will be done to the rooms on the east side. The hallway was very nice and clean. The room that I got for two nights was nice overall even though a good portion of the furniture needs to be replaced, which will be done during renovation. There is an elevator. The wifi signal was quite strong and there was a large flat screen television. There was a guest laundry. You need to get to the breakfast room early because some items might be gone before7 am because they start serving around 4:30 am because of contractors. All of the staff that I encountered were super friendly. A lot better than what I encountered at the OYO Hotel Denham Springs, LA east of Baton Rouge. There is a Sonics and a gas station with a Subway within walking distance. Several miles to the west in Donaldsonville is a McDonalds.

Under Renovation

First off, it’s not a Red Roof Inn, it’s Oyo or something. Second, the pictures are VERY misleading, the rooms are very run down and dingy, not at all what’s in the pictures. There was a musty smell with hints of tabaco throughout the whole place. It was damp in the room and the bed was not clean, I looked under the sheets. The carpets were filthy. There were random people running in to get food and drinks from the closed kitchen area at 1 am and leaving. 

It’s exactly how the couple from an earlier review who was refunded their money described it. I also left, but unfortunately was not refunded my money. I left anyway. 


Misleading 

Came down to work a few weeks at the CF plant next door and stayin with Red Roof. Very impressed with the service and rooms. Front desk suggested some good places to eat around town. Will be staying here again when I come back in January!

Amazing staff

This is by far the best Red Roof Inn I had ever stayed inn. The staff was very friendly. Jennifer and Christine welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. they made me feel special. they stated they wanted to give me the WOW effect, and they did. I will be returning to the Red Roof Inn in Donaldsonville in my next visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

MY STAY

Came to the area to apply for a job decided to stay the night before the long drive back home. Room was clean and the workers were very nice and helpful. If I hired on I will definitely be staying here.

Excellent service

I was surprised when I walked in and saw my favorite ladies from the Port Allen Red Roof! Granted this hotel looks old and out dated but everything was very clean and smelled good. I will definitely come back. 

Older but it was very clean! 

The hotel was very pleasant, the bed was comfortable and the rooms were very clean and spacious.
