Let’s put things straight for the owners of this this Jameson Inn  location/ Douglas, GA. Most folks are staying at your place because it’s $90. Plus tax =$101… and it looks neat as a pin on the exterior. $100 doesn’t buy you as much as it used to in America. This place needs some money put into it to bring it up to date and make it feel clean and BE CLEAN. The plumbing is leaky, rusty moldy. Vinyl flooring doesn’t mean you never have to MOP. Sometimes linens wear out and need replacing. Towels were in good shape I will give you that. Lampshade on nightstand was shredded. Top of NS had something spilled and dried on it for months of other folks stays. Walls sneezed on and or food dried on it. Bathroom door about to fall off the hinges. Tub just plain needs replacing. Needs new fixtures and caulking. Get rid of the extra old outdated furniture and that alone would help make the rooms look better. Grounds in good shape. This is America and not a third world country. Give folks  what $100 is worth. Cleanliness.

Owners Need to put Some of their Profits into this place.

We have stayed here many times over the years but never again!! Didnt mind a pet deposit as this is normal but did mind the fact that in addition to our little Yorkie we also had additional critters in the form of  roaches...in the sink, on the floor and in the tub.  Of course we didn't see them until the morning light.  We were also graced with condoms in the drawers and cigarette burned blankets in a non smoking room.  Sad, really, because this has been a regular stop for us.  I did tell management but just got a shoulder shrug from the desk.

We have always enjoyed our stay at the Jameson Inn.  The new owners are very friendly and attentive to any issues present. We had a malfunctioning Smoke Alarm after we checked into the room. I called the office.  The Desk Clerk called the owners and it was fixed in a matter of minutes.  The price is the most affordable and the location convenient. The room and bathroom are very clean.  Best value for your money. We will stay here again in July.

Great Place to Stay

Nasty!  Shower had mildew...see picture.  There was a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom.  The carpet was sticky and turned your feet black...and the list goes on. Outside ok but not the inside. 
I'm pretty sure we need to be vaccinated after staying there.

Never.  And I mean NEVER again!!!

Clean, comfortable, affordable and polite! Nice furnishings and conveniences and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Tucked back behind a small convenience store so not directly on a loud, busy highway yet close enough to be easy to find.

The online reviews looked nice, however the actual hotel is very Unsanitary. There was pubic hair when I first got there. The room smells like cigarettes. There was a brown substance on the tub. The bathroom had mold in it. The room felt really seedy. The "cleaning crew" pushed around an old shopping cart  with no cleaning supplies just sheets. How do you effectively sanitize a room with no cleaning products? Oh and don't think you will have the room alone  they have ROACHES that come out of the phone and  the walls. This was by far the worse hotel room I stayed in. Don't waste your money!! 

RUN FAST!!! 

Looked ok from outside and decent reviews, but this was the most filthy place ever.  Tried 2 rooms bec.mjkause first was so bad.  List is too long. Black mold in bathrooms...enough said.  Problems finding staff to clean I was told

No elevator .. The property certainly needs to be updated, for goodness sake at least an elevator..if your on the second floor all that was available was a grocery cart to bring luggage up..OMG .. we ended up carrying luggage by hand..
The room furnishings to the lobby furnishings also need updating,(the slip covers on the lobby sofas were terrible)..the breakfast bar could have been better with fresher items.. fruit and juice would have been nice. For a quick stay it was OK..

.. not many choices in Douglas.. but wish there were..!! after staying here..

She works at the front desk and she does house keeping. If she thinks you aren’t from Douglas she picks at you later on. She Only wants certain people in the rooms for a certain amount of time because she has to help clean them. If for whatever reason she thinks you are unclean she tries to not let you get anymore nights by say someone all ready made a booking knowing they have many rooms available all the time. She then tries come to your door and throw hints about the trash and towels and makes faces about you.  I can say all of the Indian people are very nice !!!!!

This is the third time that I have stayed at Jameson Inn Douglas and it has always been a very good experience. The rooms are always clean and very well taken care of. The staff is always welcoming and takes very good care of me.
