The pool was so warm, the room was beautiful. I have no complaints - worth your money ! We will definitely be back at this location. Staff was really nice. The parking lot was just very small. That was the only negative. The room has a hair dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer with ice in it. 

Love this place

We stayed here for our 25th Anniversary.  It was amazing.  We loved the pool and jacuzzi.  The bed was very comfortable and the massage chair was awesome.  It was very quiet and relaxing to be able to eat breakfast and snacks by the pool. I would love to go back 💞

Paradise Pool Suite

My husband and I visited as a birthday trip. We usually frequent the Frankfort location but it was all booked. The paradise suite and pool in Downers Grove was a lot smaller than the Frankfort location. The radio equipment was out dated. My husband and I both have iPhone Xs plus which doesn't support the AUX cord feature. The TV channels were mediocre (no good cable) and I actually cut my foot on a really small piece of glass that lingered in the pool area. Other than that the room was ok. Rose petals were placed on the bed and fresh robes were laid out which is typical with the package we usually get. The surrounding area was quiet and the employees at the front desk were pleasant and helpful.

Just ok

Great concept!  Room is a bit dated, bed is not very comfortable, hot water anywhere took about 10 minutes to get hot.  We loved our stay, but for the money charged the little things should be close to perfect.  Simple things like the DVD player had been disconnected by a prior guest.  We could not figure out how to get it to work.  We could have called the desk and asked for it to be fixed, but this time was for my wife and I getting away together.  We did not want to have to bother with such a simple thing.

Husband and Wife getaway

The room  was horrible....It  was very small & cold  they even has a heater in the bathroom due to how cold it was in the room.....The cabinets ,baseboards & bed was cracking meaning  it was old & needs to be replaced The tub had residue all on it due to it not being properly cleaned.....The TV Was so small I was  hurting my eyes trying to watch it.....It was still dirt ,food etc in the bed frame...Everthing in the room was outdated & I will never go back...My FIANCE paid  $250 they should be ashamed of themselves for charging people that much for horrible experience  ....This place needs to be shut down period!!!!!

My birthday

First let me say that we have stayed in several other locations and always liked Sybaris. They’re always clean, private, and awesome amenities. This Downer’s Grove location is not up to normal standards. First, it is VERY much smaller than other locations. The bedroom barely has enough room for the bed and 1 massage chair. That’s it - there is a fireplace but it’s literally in the corner behind the chair - you can’t even see it. It’s not in front of the bed like it is in the pictures. There is no table or chairs to sit in if you want to eat something. There is a 2’ section of “counter top” above the tiny refrigerator- nowhere to sit anything / glasses, bottles, etc. Be sure you don’t get unit #1 because you are literally 10’ from the very busy road and you can hear cars all night long (not exactly romantic). The worst part, though, was the 3 separate “pest traps” that were sitting out by the fireplace and next to the refrigerator. The steam room is barely the size of a walk-in shower - definitely not as big as other locations.
The pool was in good condition and the bed and bathroom seemed clean. The bathroom has a small pedestal sink with nowhere to sit any type of toiletries.  This location definitely needs a remodel at the least. If you’ve never been to another location, you may find this one acceptable, especially if you’re not in the unit next to the road. If you’ve stayed at other locations though, be warned that this location is not like the others.

Not the best Sybaris location

Went there as a bit of a honeymoon after our wedding last weekend. It was nice and the people were very friendly. When we booked it, they asked if we were celebrating anything and when we told them about the wedding, the congratulated us. Then when we checked in, they had left us a surprise Mr and Mrs balloon and a bottle of sparkling apple cider with champagne flutes in our room.

The rooms were fairly clean, although you could tell they have seen a lot of traffic. Some of the tiles on the floor were cracked, the wood trim around the bed and whirlpool was splitting. We found a few (what we think were) flower petal fragments in the tub, so it didn't get cleaned as thoroughly as we would've hoped. We loved the lighting over the bed and the surround sound speakers were great for playing music and chilling in the tub.

Honestly our biggest complaints were that the TV was pretty small (and only basic cable, although we figure most people probably don't watch much while they're there), and the fridge was tiny too. We brought some snacks and drinks and the bottles kept falling out of the fridge every time we opened the door, which caused one of our glass bottles to hit the tile floor and shatter everywhere. Also, the latch plate for the door was installed upside down and not aligned properly so that the deadbolt wasn't able to extend at all (leaving us with only the chain for security)

Overall, we got a deal on the room off Groupon and the staff were great. We wish it would cost less money, but we'd like to go to another Sybaris in the future (maybe one of the newer locations though).
