The owner and employees of the Pinewoods Resort are so incredibly kind. We got stuck during a snowstorm and the owner took us to a local gas station to buy tire chains and helped plow us out of the parking lot. We were in a very sticky situation and would not have gotten out of it without all of their help. The resort itself is charming and clean and in a beautiful area.

Helpful owners

This is our second time visiting from Washington State and we will definitely be back.  People are extremely courteous and helpful!  The restaurant food is so very yummy!  Try the bacon cheeseburger...juicy gut bomb.  Hmmmm the best ever!  Atmosphere can't be beat and the rooms are clean and comfortable!  The only "negative" is the shower head is about 5' high.  I'm 5'9" and my husband is 6'9" so washing hair was a little tricky. Haha. We didn't try the pool or spa because we spent an entire day hiking in Antelope Canyon, boat tour on Lake Powell, hiking Page and Paria. These are a definite must!!  Thank you Pinewoods!!

Excellent

Stayed at Pinewoods before day along scenic byway 12. Upgrade to family suite was delightful. Master bedroom was great. Heater and electric fireplace kept us warm. The bunk beds and other rooms served our kids well. Great kitchen and pool. The staff were polite and helpful. Good value for the price. 

Spring break vacation 

Truly, cannot day enough about my sis’s and my stay at the Pinewoods Resort just down the road from Duck Creek Village in Utah. Not only were we ecstatic about our accommodations, but the price we paid was exceptional!  It was like a little airb&b, fully equipped with everything.  The upstairs lead us to our loft bedroom overlooking the living room, cozy pot belly stove,TV, kitchen, and an extra divan that could have slept two more. Brad, the manager, was wonderful - can’t say enough great things about him.  Just wish our stay could have been longer to indulge in their indoor pool and jacuzzi! The seperate restaurant there is under renovation and believe me, when completed, will be huge and just amazing! We LOVED, LOVED, this place and definately will be back!  P.S. - there are also other accommodations there with units that can accommodate many folks, so DO put this place on “your map” when you’re in Utah!

Pinewoods Resort in Duck Creek Village, Utah - AWESOME!

Not only does it have a cell tower in the parking lot where everyone goes to make calls, but the area is beautiful, Duck creek is only really active in the summer months and we have eaten at the resort once

Great spot for camping. Reasonably level sites. I backed in my trailer with SxS behind 24 ft class C with room left over. We were on the main road (227) but noise was not a problem for us. 
Restaurant on site has good breakfast and friendly staff.
Nice, Clean private Restrooms/Showers and great WiFi.
Don at the front desk was very helpful and he even has a sense of humor. 😊

RV camping

A lovely place to stay, in the forest and  1/2 a mile off highway 14 and the Duck
Creek Village and lake. The lodge has nice sized rooms with fridge, there is a
restaurant in the complex with good food and friendly service
A place to relax and enjoy the nature. Nice place for children too.

Visiting from Switzerland

I encourage travelers to support the Pinewoods Resort which is 10 minutes from Duck Creek Village in the Dixie National Forest.  The Resort lost a major resource when it’s kitchen had a fire earlier this year, and the motel needs us more than ever.  My room was great - and for me that means clean, and comfortable with good towels and nice sundries.  I slept like a baby.  The room included a nice TV, great satellite, decent internet, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.  Front desk guy Brad seems like a real hard worker to me.

Great Room, Good Location, and Super Nice People

Pinewoods Resort is a highly scenic location with lots of options for rooms. It is located directly off a major highway on Cedar Mountain, so is highly accessible and scenic. We had a group of 21 friends for the weekend and Pinewoods Resort staff went out of their way to insure that we had all that we needed and had a great time.  They were very accommodating.  The rooms were extremely clean and the beds very comfortable.  The fall colors were just starting, the temperatures were great and the location was away from the city.  The only drawback for this resort was the ATV and motorcycle noise and dust on the dirt roads around the facility.  Motor noise was disruptive at times and went on throughout the night.  Otherwise, this location and facility is perfect for any event.  If you are looking for a quiet get-away, this place is not for you. If you are looking for a very scenic forest location with friendly, accommodating staff, then this is perfect.

Perfect time of year and place for a gathering of friends

Duck Creek is beautiful and Pinewood Resort is located within a short drive to Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks, Brianhead, Strawberry Point and 3 different caves we had fun exploring. The first thing we noticed was how close our RV site was to our neighbors’. Both to the side and behind us, the spots are in very close proximity to each other and share water. This became a problem when our side neighbors played their music loudly until 11 pm one night and revved their side by sides until 4 am the following night and the posted quiet hours were not enforced. The pool house has a weird smell and the water was murky but our daughter didn’t mind and had a lot of fun swimming anyway with the new friends she met playing on the playground and in the game room. The community bathrooms are big but needed cleaning. I loved my salad and Alfredo and my daughter really enjoyed her spaghetti from the restaurant but by husband didn’t like the texture or flavor of the chicken parm. Overall the property was clean from garbage and once our loud and messy neighbors left we had a quiet night’s sleep the last night. We would consider booking again and reserve one of the rear spaces that seem to be a little more secluded and larger.
