Comfort Inn Dunn near I-95

I had a friend come to visit because they were local they could not stay. Unless I could give an out of state address, nothing is noted on the web about this and they don’t tell you until you check in and if you purchase through a 3rd party well your basically screwed if your unable to be refunded.

If you live locally you are unable to stay at this location. You must provide a different out of city/ state address.

Actual hotel was ok. Woman at the front desk at check in was nice. Bathroom however had black mildew/maybe mold in the shower and no stopper for tub for a kids bath. OK fine. First issue is they said they had no washer or dryer on site to dry our carseat cover that my daughter threw up in during the long drive. When explained why we needed it front desk clerk just said "ok" and offered no solutions or offsite suggestions. The next morning I saw multiple dryers in a room behind the front desk which a different clerk allowed us to use. Real problem is there was a large dog running & barking from about 11pm to 130am in the room above us. When I called the front desk because I could not sleep the man simply said "we are a pet friendly hotel". I asked if there was a time where even pets had to be quiet and he responded with almost the same exact answer. I asked if there was anything that could be done and he said he could call but again stated "but we advertise as a pet friendly hotel." I took this to mean he really wasn't going to do much. The noise loudly continued for another 2 hours. Essentially this hotel is saying animals can make noise all night because it's pet friendly. Are children and adults allowed to scream and run around all night in a family-friendly hotel? The hotel was also no where near capacity so why put us in a room below the pet floor occupied room? Really terrible customer service where apparently pets satisfaction is more important than a humans. 

Pet friendly not Human friendly 

We stayed overnight on our travels and had a nice king size bed in an ADA room. The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice sitting area with a computer desk. The ironing board and iron had fallen off the wall and were stuffed into the closet, which made it difficult to close the door. The bathroom was spacious with lots of grab bars around the bathtub. The shower chair was broken and the remnants were laying on the floor. We didn’t have the breakfast. The hotel is right off of I-95, but we did not hear road noise. We would come back to this hotel.

Convenient, clean hotel

The hotel room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was easy to get on and off of I95. It was confusing as to where the front desk is when you first walk in, since you walk through the dining area.  The check in person was okay but the checkout desk person was much nicer. The breakfast was a big disappointment. There was no fruit or any other healthy options. They had yogurt but with 4 teaspoons of sugar in a small container, I wouldn’t call it healthy. They had frozen egg sandwiches which were not good. This hotel’s breakfast was subpar compared to other Comfort Inns I’ve stayed in. The cleanliness of the room is the most important factor for me, and that’s why I rated a 4.

Clean Rooms

That lady at check in was super friendly and very helpful which to me is always a plus. We were checked in and had my key within a minute. The room was good size and very clean. It was very quiet here also, never heard anything. We did however have a problem with our plumbing in the room but the lady at the front desk was super helpful, she gave us a choice of 2 other rooms right next to us to move to, again , she was on top of it, and did a great job.the only bad thing was there was no food of any kind, and the pool was closed which I didn’t see on their website. The air conditioner was old, but it did work, but ran all night. In the parking lot, I found a red bull can laying behind my new truck, and now my backup camera doesn’t work anymore. Can’t really blame that on the hotel thought. But overall, we’d stay here again.

A nice place to stay

We found this hotel on a trip north and while I have used Comfort Inn for decades, this one was adequate, only. We found it very ‘dark’ in the registration area. The young lady helping us was good and directed us to where we had to go. The room was alright but not feeling like Comfort Inn use to. There was no breakfast due to COVID, which was understandable but disappointing. There WAS 24 hour coffee which was a nice touch. Only a three * rating on this one, though. 

Just an OK

The hotel is located right off the interstate exit with several eateries nearby. Very nice, clean room with king bed, fridge and large tv. Friendly staff. We recommend the Brass Latern (across the street) for dinner. Casual atmosphere - great steaks and salad bar. We will stay again when heading south!

Wife and were traveling

So, I went on to Hotwire and the little message said the last person got Hampton Inn in Dunn, NC. This made me happy because I have stayed at the Hampton Inn Dunn before and it was a great experience. 

Unfortunately, I got the Comfort Inn instead for the price of the Hampton Inn.

How is the Hampton Inn better? Let me explain in no particular order.

1. The Hampton Inn is more updated and the Comfort Inn has a slight smell to it.
2. .The breakfast was adequate at the Comfort Inn while the breakfast at the Hampton Inn Dunn is a wow.
3. One of the unnamed staff members continued to call me sir even though I respectfully asked her to call me Ma'am.  And she refused to look at me when I walked past her to go to my room. .
4. The rooms are nicer at the Hampton Inn.
5. The coffee is better at the Hampton Inn.

I will say the gentleman who checked me in was awesome and there is plenty of parking.

The Comfort Inn is perfectly fine, but if you are pulling in to Dunn, North Carolina, stay at the Hampton Inn.

This Hotel is nowhere close to the Hampton Inn .

Let me start with the fact, that I walk with a walker, needless to say, the greeting I got was amazing, she could not do enough. It was late when I checked in so the lady on duty was alone so she offered to go to my car to get my bag. The hotel and room were very clean and fresh. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and watched by the staff.

Excellent

This Comfort Inn was very clean, and check-in fast.  The room is comfortable, and the free wifi and breakfast was very good.  One test, for me, of a quality hotel is it's cleanliness...especially the bathroom.  This hotel passed easily.  One thing I was unhappy with were the very loose electrical outlets, they need to be replaced.
