Stayed one night right before the solar eclipse. Booked almost a year in advance for a reasonable price. Quiet location.
Spacious clean room. Amenities included microwave and mini-fridge (but the temperature of the latter could not be adjusted). No coffee maker. Comfortable bed and pillows. Well lit desk area. Plenty of power outlets.
Bathroom with everything in working order and good water pressure in the shower.
Wifi worked intermittently (I was told it was because of the large number of people in town for the eclipse).
Breakfast included, although by the time I went (30 min before the end of breakfast time) there was little left.
Plenty of parking.
Friendly staff.

Good stay in Eagle Pass

When we arrived there was no one at the counter, we had to push a button. We pushed over 20 times, no one came! We started seaching for ourself, a lady helped and we found the guy who checked us in. The room he gave us was not clean: carpet not cleaned, dust in the bathtub, you could write your name in it! Towels with stains in it. We got back to the office and got another room. That one was not cleaned at all: bed not made, towels on the ground, it smelt sweatty! So we returned again to the office and asked if we could cancel the reservation. He returned the money and said he was glad to cancel it. He even acted rude, while we were only asking for a clean room! Dont go here, even when you think its cheap! I should have taken pictures, but I was surprised about the state this hotel is in and did not make some.

We stayed at hotel March12th and 13th..The price was good, however the carpet was not clean, the room smelled like mold and there was NO HOT WATER for shower.. It was so cold.. I went to office talked to a lady there and asked if there was something they were going to do about this and was told no and that I had saved 10 dollars on room already by booking through hotels.com

Stayed at this Hotel because my friend who was on this trip stated she had stayed here on a previous visit. I work for a Hotel myself and decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the Hotel. It is somewhat on the older side and furniture dated BUT..... It was nice, clean, spacious and comfortable! I had called and spoken with John telling him that I wanted to reserve a room but did not want to guarantee it with my credit card since I was not too sure about the other party making the trip. He made the reservations for me for a 6 p.m. hold. I advised him that I would guarantee reservation once I was in town. He assured me that he would hold rooms and to just give him a call when we got there. We got to Eagle Pass and I called to guarantee the reservations. Even though we got to the Hotel extremely late, I was very pleased with the rooms! John suggested we join them for breakfast but we woke up late from our night of gambling at the local casino. I would definitely recommend this property if all you are looking for is a nice, clean, quiet and affordable room! Thank You John and keep up the good work!

NIce Surorise

The room we had was spacious: there were two queen beds, a table, two chairs, a dresser, a TV cabinet and fridge, with room leftover to do cartwheels!  The shower and commode room were clean as was the area containing the sink, countertop and closet area.  
We encountered no problems during our stay.  We saw other guests but were not bothered by any noise from them.  
The breakfast tacos were scrumptious!  My husband is very particular about how his beans are prepared, he ate 8 tacos!  I liked both the tacos and the pancakes that were available. 
The only negative thing I can think of is that our room was clearly marked NO SMOKING and it was quite apparent that someone had smoked in the room.  I don't hold management responsible for the bad behavior of their guests.  
I WOULD stay at this hotel again.

Come for the Breakfast Tacos!

OK... If you have read any of my reviews, you will see I do not complain too often about bad service or poor amenities. This is unusual... This is absolutely the LOUDEST motel I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing! While the room is a little old but, clean, it seems we can hear everything around us; Televisions, Quick Sexual Encounters, Children Running Upstairs, People Hanging in the Parking Lot, A Printer. As an aside, I asked for an upper floor but, It seems the upper floors are reserved for late night pacing... My request was not honored. A call to the office was met with the reply, "Yeah, we've heard this before...!" Also, this establishment advertises "HBO" on the very old television. There is no HBO here... One call to find the channel to the office was answered, "It is channel 14." Channel 14 is TV from Mexico. Although there are times TV from Mexico is enjoyable, this was not what we were looking for... When we called back to see if we misunderstood, the reply was, "THE HBO TOWER MUST HAVE FALLEN DOWN...!" No, I am NOT kidding! The bathtub is slimy, BTW! If there is a choice between the Bus Station (Or, a moving Greyhound Bus) and this place, choose the Bus to get away from "Americas Best Value Inn Eagle Pass Texas"!
