We just loved our time at this motel. Small rooms with character, a comfy bed and uses old fashioned keys. Our room had a fridge, microwave, TV and 2 fans. Bathroom renovations are coming soon. The owner, Ryan Sherburne, is so nice and helpful plus such a great man to talk to. Located close to the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park, 45 minutes to the St. Mary entrance and about an hour to Many Glacier. This is a small town with only a few restaurants to choose from.

Fantastic motel with a very friendly and helpful owner

This is a quaint little family run motel tucked away in the small town of East Glacier Park.  It's a no frills motel and the rooms are small, but they are well kept and clean.  The manager was very helpful with our questions and needs. You could spend more for the bigger and fancier Glacier Park Lodge nearby, but for us just needing a night stay before going to Glacier NP this was just fine. If you want to save a few bucks on lodging this is a great option.

Quaint and nice

I cannot love this place more!  The location is on the east side of Glacier, near the  Two Medicine entrance.  It was quiet and filled with tall pines.  The motel is exactly what you would expect for a vintage road trip motel.  The rooms were very comfortable, with fridge and microwave and coffee maker.  The owner grinds his own blend  of coffee and it is so much better than the plastic packets in hotel rooms!  There is no air conditioning (not very common in the Glacier area) but the windows give a good cross breeze and you can listen to the birds and critters!  The owner checked us in, and we thought we were too late to get in the parks, but he was super nice and helpful and gave us a plan to see parts of the park that evening.  That leads us to seeing a black Bear, 3 foxes, a bighorn sheep, and a moose!  Also, stop by the trailer near by for a stone oven pizza or salad…super yummy!  Don’t wait too late, they can run out (of crusts).  The whole area is super chill, good for walking or biking.

A must visit for a road trip

We stayed one night in mid-June and enjoyed our stay! This is an old-fashioned lodge and it's family-run.  Ryan, the innkeeper, is friendly and helpful and can answer your questions about Glacier and the surrounding area.  We had a two queen room, and it included a fridge and coffeemaker. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and room was very clean.  It was quiet at night!  Bathroom looked like it had been updated in the recent past.  We ate dinner at Serrano's (very good!) and got coffee and breakfast pastries from Brownie's, which is almost across the street from the motel. Highly recommend this nice little motel.

Great little lodge in the pines!

We stayed here four nights in September and loved it. It is an old fashioned motel that is family owned and operated. It has been very well maintained. Beds are comfortable and rooms a very clean. Excellent place to stay. We've already made our reservation for next year.

Great Place to Stay

We participated in a photography workshop in East Glacier and found The Mountain Pine Motel a perfect lodging! Beds are comfortable; fridge/freezer is roomy (we prepared all our meals in our cabin). Ryan, owner, even loaned bear spray and printed maps! We will stay there the next time we visit East Glacier And we definitely are recommending it to friends!

Great People - Awesome Stay

This was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip to Glacier! The setting was great with pine trees all around and the rooms were even better! The beds were super cozy and the rooms had a very unique cabin/woodsy feel to them. Although there was no included breakfast, there was a store across the street that sold $5 breakfast sandwiches. I highly recommend this hotel!

A great hotel near the park!

We stayed one night and had we only known, we would have chosen a two night stay.  It is just perfect!!    Hwy 49 is a thrill to get to the motel, our GPS didn't tell us we could go a different way.  We loved it though!!  Ryan had so much knowledge to share when we checked in.    Absolutely loved staying here.


Glacier Natl Park Trip

We stayed here one night late in August after spending the day hiking in Two Medicine, only 15 minutes away. We loved the convenient parking, pleasant grounds and large room and bathroom. The room was clean and the owner very friendly and helpful. We walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner, one of only a few places open. The town is smaller than we expected and seemed to be winding down for the season. This was by far the best motel we stayed in near GNP, which seems to specialize in quite marginal lodging. The east entrance of GTTSR is 45 minutes away and Many Glacier an additional 45 min. so not ideal as a hub to see the whole park.

Clean, friendly and roomy

Ryan, the owner and operator is awesome. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. This is not a five star hotel with polished brass hide level fixtures. It is very well-maintained and very Family friendly. I can’t imagine anyone doing any better than this motel in East glacier. And I’m even talking about the high-level lodge in East Glacier
