A unique option as close to campus as one could be, this house is a charming respite from the hustle of the Spartan campus scene.  Engaging hosts, well prepared and comfortable room, and an excellent breakfast left is fully satisfied.  We'll stay there again!

Wild Goose Inn was spectacular. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We visit a different B and B in a Capitol city each summer, and this one topped the list. The jacuzzi was so hard to leave, and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 

Spectacular Stay

We had a wonderful time.  The room was clean, neat, private with everything we needed for a nice night away.
The host was friendly, helpful and cooked a fabulous breakfast for us.
I would highly recommend this hidden gem.

Hidden Gem

A little oasis in the middle of East Lansing. As MSU alumni, we were able to walk to all the old hangouts and campus attractions and yet retire to a quiet private comfortable space right in the center of EL. Hal and his staff were perfect hosts and made us feel right at home. We loved it!

Wonderful and restful getaway at our alma mater! 

It has been a pleasure to stay (3 nights, mid April 2023) at the Wild Goose Inn, great location and certainly the place be any time that I need to travel to East Lansing. The staff is very friendly, always having a detail. Superb breakfast. Rooms are unique, very confortable, with all you need for a more than pleasant stay, including a jacuzzi. Room with a fireplace for meetings or leisure. Excellent in all respects

Excellent and super staff

This is the best B&B in Michigan, the food, staff and accomodations are 5 stars, the door greeter (Yogi) the dog, is the sweetest little guy. We will be repeat guests in the future, It's very tranquil and beautiful, the soaker tubs were very roomy and beautifully decorated. Thanks for having us.

Birthday Stay

I have heard about this place for years but I do live in the area so I never could fathom a reason to spend money on a hotel in the place that I live- well this place is truly a peaceful little hideaway in East Lansing. My boyfriend and I booked the winter eden room for our little valentines getaway this year. Multiple times he mentioned how it feels like we are on vacation it was weird to think we were so close to home! Lovely place, Al was very kind and sweet and we met Yogi the house dog who was extremely well behaved. I personally love animals so he was kind of a bonus :) Full course breakfast was delicious. The Jacuzzi tub was relaxing and beautiful aesthetically. I would recommend this place to anyone coming from out of town or looking for a local getaway. 

Relaxing!

We have stayed at many B&B’s throughout Michigan- this is hands down the BEST! Adorable house conveniently located in downtown East Lansing, with easily accessible parking. Our room was upstairs, the Summer Safari. Spacious yet cozy with a queen size bed with a crazy comfortable mattress and linens. The jacuzzi tub was generous enough for both of us, and the gas fireplace added both warmth and ambiance. There is a cute 2 seater balcony and a well appointed bathroom with most of the necessities- bring your shampoo and conditioner. The one miss in this room is a little refrigerator and coffee pot- the closet would be perfect! Breakfast was warm and very tasty and served by our hosts. By far the best B&B breakfast to date. Well done, Wild Goose! You get it right!

Perfection!!

The Wild Goose Inn has become our home away from home when we visit out daughter in East Lansing. She graduated this weekend, but we hope to return to the Wild Goose in the future. On this particular trip we brought our two grandmothers, and they loved "The Goose" as much as we do!  The Wild Goose has the most comfortable beds, lovely tubs, fireplaces, and the best breakfasts. It's homey, happy, and lovely in every way!

A Home Away From Home

My wife and I stayed in the "Winter's Eden" room the night of our wedding in November 2022. The room was great and made great use of the space. The jacuzzi room with the arched skylight was particularly impressive and relaxing. You can tell that a lot of thought was put into every single detail of not only the aesthetic appeal, but also the functionality of the space as well. 

The next morning we were greeted when we came downstairs and asked what we would like for breakfast. I had the omelet and my wife had the french toast. Not only did the food look fantastic (think of how food some places does not usually look like it does on the menu, this is the complete opposite as the food looks immaculate) but it tasted great as well.
