This hotel is NOTHING like the pictures. It's musty smelling,  dirty, sheets were either dirty or scratchy, scratchy makes me feel better.  How this place stays in business is beyond me. I would give "0" stars if I could.

0 Stars-Do Not Recommend

Horrid!!! Arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive - Room and property was nothing like pictures. The room smelled horribly of cat urine, BLOOD On dressers, holes in walls.
Bugs!!
I still have bites and a strange rash since staying here over a week ago! Run run away. Got no sleep. 
Mgmt said they’d refund and then didn’t.

The pics online were deceiving. Looked much nicer online. It does not look like it has been updated. Right out of the 1970’s! Bed was horrible-needs replacing. No coffee provided in room. TV remote volume would not work. This place needs updating. Rooms and property need more cleaning/maintenance. Will not be staying here again. 

Travel to Cape Cod

We were passing through the Cape Cod area on our way to Boston and decided to spend the night and have a look around.  The Earl was ideal for our simple needs.

First, the motel is not far from the major north-south MA highways that run between CT and Boston, so we didn’t feel like we were too far off-track.

Second, our room was much bigger than expected, with a sliding glass door that opened onto a patio overlooking a grassy commons area and duck pond.

Finally, the room was outfitted with a fridge, micro, and television, and the large bathroom was clean and comfortable.

In sum, a surprisingly good experience for a property that labels itself a “motel”.

Great stop for a Cape Cod detour

Beautiful room, very accommodating.. we had an extended stay here  and will definitely tell people about our experience .. it feels like your in NH in the back with the duck pond. Nice size fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Close to canal for walks ..

Great stay!

When I opened the door to my room I just couldn’t believe how nice it was. The sliding glass door opens up to a small deck and the ducks in the yard. The bed was really comfortable.  I loved the high table. The person at the desk was so nice and the room had everything I needed. It was just perfect for me.

What a nice place

I recall this property when family stayed here during a visit to Cape Cod 30 years ago. This prompted me to select the motel for our four day stay on Cape in July. The location on Route 6A is nice enough. The rooms were very clean. However, the grounds require attention. The bushes need to be trimmed back and much of the lawn could use some  re-seeding. The most difficult part of the stay had to do with the smell in our room. Specifically, the odor of mold and failing septic tanks were overwhelming. There was a dehumidifier in the room. It worked, but with the noise of the AC unit (which sounded like a running lawnmower) and the volume of the dehumidifier hissing all night, sleep was nearly impossible. Lastly, the mattress was so hard (akin to laying on pine boards) I awoke with agonizing back pain each day. Will not be staying here again.

Convenient but rooms and property need attention.

The room was very nice and very clean. 
The grounds need some TLC, removal of dead tree branches and a good prune. 
The owner was not very welcoming, there was no rapport at all. The notices inside the rooms were rather unpleasant and even threatening that should the room even smell of smoke after departure then there would be a substantial amount deducted from your credit card. It takes the shine off a bit.

The place had a Bread and Breakfast feel but at same time it was casual and charming for short stay.

Cape cod hidden gem

Pretty, comfortable room with unexpected canopy beds!  Only negative is that the man in the office could not help us with questions; could not tell if this was a language problem or if he was just busy.  Loved pond and ducks, and a great location for soghtseeing.
