We were looking for a place to stay where we could ride our bikes on the Fred Meijer Hartland Trail. We found this hotel right in the middle. 
Nice room. Very clean. Fridge. 
No microwave but there is one in the lobby. 
No real breakfast (bagels, French toast, and waffles). But, they give you $5 off at The Depot next door where we got scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns for 2 for $3.50 after the discount. 
Friendly, clean, and comfortable right o the trail!

Great place to stay right on the Fred Meyer Hartland Trail

You can hear everything and everyone. This hotel is made out of toothpicks.  Firm beds.  Not good for side sleepers.  STAY ON TOP FLOOR AWAY FROM STAIRWELL if you must stay here.  Table/bed stand/and fridge top had stains that could be cleaned off (bad maids?).

If you deaf you’ll love it.  If not you won’t

We stayed here when we had a funeral out of town. It was just 1 night and I called the day before and spoke to Rob and he was so helpful and pleasant. We had a small hiccup on the date we were checking in but I called and it was immediately fixed. When we arrived the gentleman checking us in was so nice and it was a smooth check in process. Rooms were nice and clean. We had a fridge but no microwave so that would be my only suggestion to the hotel but it wasn't that big of an issue as we were only there for 1 night and didn't need it. There was no breakfast from what I could tell or that I seen but again that wasn't an issue for us either. The only real problem we had was the people above us were running and stomping from the time we checked in at about 7:30pm until I had to call the front desk at about 11:30pm because I just needed some sleep and it was ridiculous.  There was a nice pool and gym but we didn't use them so no comments for them.
I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in that area and I would definitely reccomend this hotel to others. 

Out of town, 1 night stay

My wife to be found a dead frog in the bathroom when she checked in. The next night they moved our stuff out of the room into unsecured conference room and claimed we didn't reserve a room on OUR wedding night. We returned from our wedding and they stated they tried to call my Mom, who didn't stay there nor did she rent the room. 

They then threatened to call the police on us when they told us it was our fault and we were upset that our stuff was moved out and left on the floor in trash bags. They also told me I had to go somewhere else as they didn't have a room. They eventually called someone that hadn't checked in at 2am and gave us a double bed handicap room. 

The manager later shifted all the blame again on us but did refund us for the first night. 

Also noted they lost one of our guests reservations and gave them a room with used condoms in the trash. 

This is a short version of the events as there is a lot more detail but needless to say this was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, which is something to say since I was in the Marine Corps.

Unbelievably Awful Experience Wedding Night

They canceled on us at 4:30pm on our wedding night for our two night stay honeymoon there. They gave us a poor excuse as to why they were canceling on us with no notice. Will never try to go there again.

We stayed overnight during a road trip thru Michigan.  The room was not very clean & poorly appointed.  I just don't want to take the time to report on how bad the experience was...and the town itself...don't bother stopping.  It's almost a ghost town.  Take my advice & keep driving.

Disgusting

I am getting married in Edmore MI and had reserved a block of rooms at Maxfields Inn for my original wedding date. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic our winter wedding was postponed to June. Max fields inn was anything but helpful during this process. 

When making our original reservations, I personally had to reserve the bridal suite twice, because I never got any confirmation the first time.  When I called back out of a whim, they informed me no reservation was made the first time. Many guests reported not getting email notifications for their reservation, it is unknown if they had to call back to get a new reservation like my fiancé and I did. 

 When it was looking like a postponement was inevitable, I contacted the hotel to see what my options were. I was informed they had another event the weekend of my wedding and had X amount of rooms available but they were still in a block for that event. Selena the manager stated she would reach out to the other event to ask if they planned on using those rooms (which is very kind and I appreciated). Selena also informed me that if she goes through this work to change my block again that I “need to make sure this is the date I want.” As if I expected a national pandemic was going to hit and ruin my original wedding plans. I was reminded many many times that the event she was taking rooms away from was a “$50,000 event” and that makes them more money than my wedding block.  Be mindful there were only like 10-15 rooms available still, so I would still need to reserve a block of rooms elsewhere. When I mentioned that the manager Selena rudely stated “we’re your only option so..”

After multiple conversations with Selena telling me she was being “straight forward, not rude,” we decided not to further provide business to this hotel and will be shuttling our guests to Mt Pleasant. 

Planning a wedding is stressful enough, add in the pandemic and it is debilitating. Add in Selena’s poor customer service and rude insults of me being “unreliable and wishy-washy” it can make wedding planning the worst thing you’ve done this year. *mind you, my credit card was on file the entire time I was being “wishy-washy”*

I honestly cannot comment further on the quality of the hotel or the rest of the staff, as we never went inside. But, we were highly disappointed in the way we were treated by management of this establishment and will not be returning.

Wedding Block

I’ve stayed here twice.  Both times it was to be near family events.  Both times I got the same feeling as “ok.”  That’s the only thing I can say.  Rooms are basic and adequate. I know CoVid 19 has everyone freaking out but I still think they could do better.  No servicing rooms until you check out.  Food?  Not really.  All in all it was just a necessary  Expensive stop in my journey.

Basic hotel

Its nicely located off M46. Clean outside and inside. Rooms are clean, no major wear on anything. Beds were comfy and clean. Pricing is good. Breakfast bar is coffee. Juice, milk and only cereals and pastries.  If it has one drawback.  Noise will filter through the door if people are talking. Otherwise,  it's a nice place.

Decent hotel

Love it here, everyone was friendly and helpful, love the looker room going into the pool being separate from the men so we could shower and dress there instead of our room after a nice swim. Rooms are clean and we was lucky enough to get a room with mic and fridge, not all rooms have them but you can use the mic. in the breakfast room and fridge. wish they had an elevator our 2nd visit we had a room upstairs and it was very hard for me going up and down the stairs and no luggage rack to transport out stuff, but love staying here
