Two things. Customer service was terrible. The staff were rude and unhelpful. On top of that this hotel uses and on-line reservation company and it took me more than a days work time to find someone who could give me a receipt for the three rooms I paid for employees. Also the breakfast buffet is expensive for what you get. There's a Denny's across the street.

Don't bother

Not bad for the price to stay there. Better than we expected. Room was clean and the beds were comfy. Wifi was extremely fast (usually they suck). Friendly staff. We'd stay there again if in Calexico.

Nice for the price to stay

Our room was filthy dirty. There were roaches and the bathroom ceiling was bulging with mold so bad that we were afraid to take a shower for fear the roof would cave in. We will never will stay there again! We have pictures.

If this is your price/quality point, this is OK.... 2-1/2 stars.

Clean, quiet, hot water, nicely arranged bathrooms. Coffee-maker, microwave, small fridge.  Some rooms have hot plates. Functioning laundry room, ice makers.
No hotels within the city proper (north of I-10) are in the “good parts of town”, so don’t expect 5-star surroundings.
Big drawbacks:  NO TABLE LAMPS (direct overhead lighting only.  TERRIBLE TV-remotes, LUMPY pillows.  Apparently, based on earlier reviews, this hotel is headed DOWNHILL.

When this was the Vacation Inn, a delicious hot breakfast was included in the rate, that was lower the the current rate. When it became a Travelodge, the hot breakfast went away and was replaced with a minimal cold breakfast. That now has gone away and there is no breakfast. Travelodge continues to reduce services and raise prices. No wonder that the parking lot is mostly empty instead of mostly full when it was the Vacation Inn.

On our way to Baja.  Great facility. Handy to freeway. Staff helpful.  Clean rooms.   Costco just a few miles away to get your supplies topped up.  We stay here every year and are never disappointed. The convenience and price are a bonus along with the cute little kitchenette.  Get dinner on, port yourself a cocktail and relax after a long day of travelling.  

Great stop over

I was there 10/21/19, Toilet didn't work, roaches in the restroom, lipstick on the towels, when I checked out I Asked for a manager to report about my findings the front desk receptionist (I should've gotten her name) obviously she didn't want to hear about it, she replied saying that "people were there yesterday and that they didn't see any roaches". I told her that she can go and see, and that the roaches still there, the last thing she said is that she was going to send housekeeping, I will NEVER stay there again...

Nasty place

Muggy, and a little warm in the room. A/C not all that great. But low prices and decent for a night.The old saying you get what you pay for is certainly true here. Could use an updating but other than that it's ok for a night.

Will do

Staff friendly and very very helpful. Free room upgrade the room was exceptionally clean the bed and pillows were quite comfortable. I was  traveling alone and I felt safe both checking in, unloading and staying for the 2 nights. would definitely stay there again.

Great Stay

This is a clean and well maintained place. The girl on the front desk was amazing and I enjoyed the quiet. Not a lot of party people. Had a Denny's across the street with a sports bar inside. So didn't even have to go anywhere for diner.
