The hotel is not what you may think of it by just looking at the photos. It is not the best. The location is to far away from I-10, the hotel really is more like a Motel, and the breakfast is NOT. The price is ok but I will not go back.

Not so good

This a nice hotel in a quite area.  Friendly staff and near shopping.  It is very inexpensive, clean, and in safe area. There were many  Restautants near by to choose from.  Check in and out was quick and 

Quite hotel

Told them we found a bed bug in our room and wanted our money back and they tried to pressure us into moving to another room. Refused the refund and said “things happen”. Two people walked into our room without knocking & these rooms are disgusting. I found food behind the fridge, trash behind the beds, lots of bugs and the blankets were brown like they have never been cleaned. The hot tub was not hot and when I brought it to the office women’s attention she just had the maintenance man put a hose in the hot tub and filled it with hot water, it was like warm not hot. That was one of the main reasons we got this hotel, for the hot tub. Lights didn’t work and even after they came and fixed them , they still did not work. Very dirty do not stay here

Do not stay here !!!!!

I have a disability and had reserved a room here. A large and very rude Hispanic woman by the name of Jessica stated the hotel would not "accommodate" me per "management". It was a Friday in the evening and this was very inconvenient for me to have to find another room on short notice. But the hotel's decision to discriminate against me because of a disability is against the law. I will pursue a complaint under the Americans With Disabilities Act.

Americans with Disabilities Act Violation

An under-average 2* motel with a poor price/performance ratio which one cannot recommend, the overall impression was consistently negative. The longtime front desk employee was very professional and friendly. What you have to do first is get to the numerous arrivals and departures and phone calls. Pretty crowded inventory and passing mattresses - not clean. No really functioning air conditioning (very loud) and as far as I know there was no small elevator for the second floor where we had our room. The pool was closed at our time, this is probably included in the hotel price. There are no continental breakfasts in the hotel, whatever is included in the breakfast, because no. The words were given to me - what was left empty at the time.

Price/performance ratio - poor

This is both a review and a request for some at the Magnuson Hotel to contact me.  I stayed at the Magnuson Hotel on December 5-6.  The stay was uneventful but upon leaving I realized I had left my ID in the sleeve holding the key card for the door.  I began calling the front desk two hours after I left the hotel and the front desk phone rang but no one answered.  

Fast forward a week and a half.  I have continued calling the hotel but no one will answer.  Sometimes the phone rings four times before it stops.  Sometimes it rings for 30 minutes before it stops.  What could have been an easy fix to my situation has become an ordeal.  I have also contacted Magnuson corporate to help me resolve the situation .  I received communication saying they would look into it but I have not received an update.  In 2018 this is no way to run a business.  I am now almost 2 weeks into my vacation with no I.D. and it has presented a variety of complications.  Is it too much to ask for your hotel’s front desk to answer the phone?  Can I go a few more weeks without anyone answering my call?  Months?   I will share this across every social media platform I can locate your company until someone contacts me and gives me an explanation.

Poor Customer Service

When paying $40 for the night I always fear the worst. But have no fear! There's an outside pool, vendingmachines, clean room. Fridge, microwave, cooler/heater and they all work perfectly. The included Continental breakfast is not lavish, but what can you expect at the price! They have the basics.There are a number of restaurants, shops and takeaways close by; a few minutes' walk. And Downtown is ten minutes by car. Situated close to the I-10 it's easy to find your next destination. Recommended.

Magnuson at magnificent price

Customer service was ok. Not happy when we arrived and saw that they had only made the beds and put new towels. They did not actually clean the room. My one year old kept finding things on th floor from the previous guest who stayed there. She picked up someone's plaatic from their earphones. I picked up a ripped plastic condom wrapper, corn nuts and other junk from the floor. The bath tub had black mold....
Not the best experience I have had in El Paso. Their continental breakfast consisted of 1 danish and toasted bread;coffee as small as a shot glass.

Not what I expected

The receptionist treated us very well.In the breakfast there was almost nothing, but we asked if they could put fruit and milk for the cereal, etc., and immediately everything came up again.The room corresponds to the price/quality.There was no inconvenience.
